Oppo‘s next flagship, the Find X9, has been at the center of fresh leaks — but not all of them are real. The company’s Find series product manager, Zhou Yibao, stepped in this week to clarify that a recently circulated render of the standard Find X9 isn’t genuine, while also dropping a few official details about the phone.

According to Zhou, the Find X9 will use a “cold-sculpting” process that gives it a refined, textured finish and stronger durability compared to the Find X8. However, he confirmed that the phone will come in a titanium color option — the same one that appeared in the leaked render.
Another key change is that both the standard and Pro models will move to completely flat displays, unlike last year’s lineup, where the Pro carried a micro-quad curved screen. As expected, bezels are getting slimmer, with the Pro model keeping an edge here. Zhou didn’t share specific numbers.

Inside, the Find X9 features what he called a “uniquely large Glacier battery.” He didn’t go into detail, but for reference, the Find X8 carried a 5,630mAh unit, and recent leaks suggest the X9 may jump to 7,025mAh. Zhou added that “the body thickness and lens protrusion are perfectly controlled” (translated from Chinese), hinting that while the numbers may be higher, the size and weight aren’t dramatically affected. Oppo seems to be aiming for a better balance between endurance and design.
Leaks also point to upgrades such as ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, wireless fast charging, and IP66/68/69 dust- and water-resistance ratings. If true, the Find X9 could be the most capable standard edition Oppo has ever made.
While Zhou dismissed the misleading render, his comments have only added to the anticipation ahead of the official launch later this year. With a titanium finish, slimmer bezels, and improved durability, the Find X9 looks set to push Oppo’s flagship line in a more premium direction.
