The Galaxy S26 Ultra is still months away, but leaks are already painting a picture of what to expect. Reliable tipster UniverseIce has posted new renders of Samsung’s 2026 flagship, showing it side by side with the current model — and it looks like the company is softening the Ultra’s famously boxy design.

The new numbers aren’t dramatic, but they’re enough to notice. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to measure 163.4 mm tall and 77.9 mm wide, just a touch larger than the S25 Ultra’s 162.8 x 77.6 mm frame. The bigger change comes at the corners: instead of sharp edges, the S26 Ultra will curve more noticeably, giving it a rounder profile. UniverseIce even posted a mock-up showing the difference next to last year’s model, and the contrast is clear.

That subtle shift could have a real impact on how the phone looks and feels to hold. The flatter, squared-off look of past Ultras gave them a distinctive style but wasn’t always the most comfortable in hand. With more rounded corners, the S26 Ultra might strike a better balance between looks and ergonomics.

There’s also talk that Samsung could trim down the thickness this year. On the back, earlier leaks have pointed to a refreshed camera layout, which should help distinguish the S26 Ultra visually from its predecessor.

But here’s the catch: comments under the renders suggest ergonomics isn’t everything. Many users actually prefer the Ultra’s boxy look — one even called the S24 Ultra the ‘best designed so far.’

Taken together, the changes suggest Samsung isn’t overhauling the Ultra formula but rather refining it. A little bigger, a little rounder, and potentially a little slimmer — enough to give the phone a fresh identity without alienating fans of the series’ premium design.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S26 lineup in January 2026, so we’ll likely be hearing more in the coming months.
