Oppo has launched the A6i in China as part of its entry-level lineup. The phone debuts alongside the A6 Pro, featuring a rugged design, large battery, and 5G support. Let’s check out its key specs and pricing.
Oppo A6i Specifications
The Oppo A6i features a 6.56-inch LCD display with 1604 x 720 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits peak brightness. The panel remains responsive with wet, oily, or gloved fingers.
The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset built on a 6nm process. It is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and comes with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Dimensity 6300 enables 5G connectivity and ensures efficient performance for daily use.
The Oppo A6i runs ColorOS 15, optimized for long-term smoothness with claimed performance stability up to 48 months. It offers an AI assistant with handwriting recognition, English tutoring, and math correction, plus family tools like health tracking via wearables, regional alerts, and fraud detection.
The rear camera setup features a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The front houses an 8MP selfie camera. The phone supports AI-enhanced features like portrait mode, dual-view video recording, object removal, pixel-level zoom upscaling, and AI-powered sticker overlays.
The A6i carries a 6000mAh battery rated for five years of use with graphite cells and electrolyte recovery tech. It supports 45W SuperVOOC charging, reaching 50% in 37 minutes even at –20°C, and delivers up to 22 hours of calls or 19 hours of video playback.
Oppo has built the A6i using a Diamond Shield Frame made of strengthened glass and high-strength aluminum alloy. The phone is IP65-rated for dust and water resistance and has passed SGS 5-star drop resistance certification. It weighs 194 grams and measures 7.99mm thick.
Pricing and Availability
Oppo has priced the A6i as follows:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: 899 yuan (~$125.86)
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: 999 yuan (~$139.86)
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: 1099 yuan (~$153.86)
The phone will be available in Cloud Mist White and Midnight Black color options. Sales begin on September 12 in China.
