HMD has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the HMD Vibe 5G. The phone is positioned as an affordable option for users seeking next-generation connectivity without a high price tag.

The Vibe 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. It runs on the octa-core UNISOC T760 processor built on a 6nm process, paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD. It ships with Android 15 and will receive two years of quarterly security updates.


The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor with LED flash, while the front has an 8MP camera. The phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options cover 5G SA/NSA across nine bands, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS with GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, with the charger included. The device weighs 190g and measures 165×75.8×8.65mm.

The HMD Vibe 5G comes in Black and Purple at a festive price of Rs. 8,999. It is available starting today through major retail stores, e-commerce platforms, and HMD.com.
Alongside the Vibe 5G, HMD also introduced two new feature phones, the HMD 101 4G and HMD 102 4G. These compact devices focus on reliability and essential features, with the 102 4G adding a QVGA camera and flash.
