TCL has announced its latest Q9M series RGB-Mini LED TVs at the 2025 TCL Mini LED Autumn Launch Event in China. The series includes 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch models. Each model features thousand-level RGB local dimming zones, with the highest configuration reaching 2880 zones on the 98-inch variant.

TCL Q9M RGB-Mini LED TVs Specs
All models in the Q9M series support 2000 nits of peak XDR brightness, cover 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut, and deliver a native contrast ratio of 7000:1. TCL has equipped the lineup with its fourth-generation RGB-Mini LED backlight system for improved precision in brightness and color accuracy. The display includes a dual-layer anti-reflective coating with light reflectance as low as 0.5% for better visibility in bright environments.
The TVs run on TCL’s Lingxi System 3.0 and are powered by the MediaTek 9655+ chipset. The 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch variants come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, while the 98-inch model includes 128GB of storage. It also integrates the Fuxi AI large language model to support smart voice control, content recommendations, and picture optimization.

TCL has included four full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports across the series. These ports support 4K at 144Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), MEMC motion compensation, and up to 288Hz refresh rate for compatible gaming content. The TVs also include FreeSync Premium Pro certification and a dedicated gaming dashboard.
The Q9M series supports major visual and audio formats such as Dolby Vision, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, HLG, and Dolby Atmos. The integrated Onkyo 2.1.2-channel sound system features upward-firing speakers, a dedicated subwoofer, and independent audio chips.
In terms of connectivity, the Q9M TVs feature USB 3.0, USB 2.0, AV-in, LAN, RF antenna input, optical audio output, and support for dual-band Wi-Fi 6.
Pricing and Availability
TCL has priced the Q9M series starting at 7999 yuan ($1,120) for the 65-inch model with 1344 local dimming zones. The 75-inch variant costs 9,999 yuan ($1,400) and includes 1,800 zones, while the 85-inch model is priced at 11,999 yuan ($1,680) with 2,160 zones. The top-end 98-inch version is available for 19999 yuan ($2,800), featuring 2880 dimming zones.
At the event, TCL also introduced two high-end Mini LED TV series. The X11L series debuts as the brand’s new “king of TVs” featuring TCL’s first SQD-Mini LED panel. Alongside it, the Q10M Ultra was announced with RGB-Mini LED technology, offering up to 9000 nits brightness and AI-enhanced picture controls.
