The OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be a gaming powerhouse. Recent teasers have confirmed top notch hardware and a super smooth display. But it is also taking a few steps back to achieve a more affordable price point, marking a shift in the brand’s flagship strategy. Now, we finally have an idea regarding how much cheaper it might be compared to the older OnePlus 13.

OnePlus 15 reportedly more affordable than the OnePlus 13

Whenever a brand launches a newer generation of premium smartphones, a company typically either hikes the prices to make up for the cost of the latest components or tries and keep the price similar to the previous gen model. However, there are rare occasions of a new flagship being cheaper than the last. It seems like the OnePlus 15 might be one such model.

In one of our earlier reports, we covered a leak that mentioned how OnePlus plans to follow the iQOO 13’s playbook by making a value flagship phone that caters to gamers with high end specs. Teasers have confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, while leaks have hinted at downgraded cameras. Another area OnePlus is cutting cost is by replacing the Hasselblad tuning in favor of its in house DetailMax Engine.

All of this will reportedly help make the OnePlus 15 more affordable, with a fresh leak from the OnePlus Club on X (formerly Twitter) revealing its pricing. Reportedly, the OnePlus 15 will start for just 3,999 Yuan (roughly 560 US Dollars) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. To recall, the OnePlus 13 launched for 4,499 Yuan or about 630 US Dollars. This makes the OnePlus 15 70 US Dollars cheaper than the 2024 flagship.
