The One UI 8.5 rollout is essentially done: it kicked off on May 6 in Korea, went global on May 11, and by mid-June Samsung had delivered the update to every confirmed device, with a few carrier and regional variants still trickling in. If you’re unsure whether your Galaxy was ever in line for this update or whether it already reached the end of its road, here’s the full picture.
The short answer: One UI 8.5 has rolled out to the Galaxy S23 series and newer, foldables from the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 onward, recent Galaxy A/M/F models, and current Tab S series tablets. The 2022 generation, Galaxy S22 series, S21 FE, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, and Tab S8 series, did not receive it: One UI 8.0 was their final version update.

It’s important to highlight that Samsung hasn’t published the eligible devices list yet. However, the One UI 8.5 update is almost certain to reach every Galaxy device that received the One UI 8.0 update or launched with it.
Yes, the list is too big for a minor One UI upgrade, given that past have typically been reserved for Galaxy Z and S series devices. However, this time, Samsung is preparing for a wider rollout.
Galaxy devices NOT receiving One UI 8.5
Samsung’s official eligibility started with the Galaxy S23 generation. The 2022 lineup missed the cut, despite having received One UI 8.0

The reason is technical as much as policy: One UI 8.5 is built on Android 16 QPR2, a newer branch with updated APIs, and these devices had already received the four OS generations promised at launch, Android 16 (One UI 8.0) was the final stop. A handful of other 2022 models, such as the Galaxy M53, M33 are in the same position.
