Vivo has quietly introduced a new budget 5G smartphone in China called the Vivo Y6a. The device focuses on long battery life, durability, and a smooth display experience while offering a Snapdragon chipset and the latest OriginOS software at an affordable price point.
Vivo Y6a specifications and features

The Vivo Y6a features a 6.75-inch LCD display with a 1570 x 720 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The smartphone packs a massive 7,200mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. Vivo claims the battery is designed to retain its health for up to six years, with a rated lifespan of 1,800 charging cycles. The device offers a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It also supports an additional 8GB of virtual RAM and runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

The Y6A comes with other features, such as stereo speakers, NFC, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, dual SIM support, and IP69/IP68-rated water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, and support for aptX Adaptive audio codecs.
Vivo Y6a price and availability
The Vivo Y6a is offered in a single 8GB + 256GB configuration priced at 1,999 Yuan, which is approximately $295. Buyers can choose from Obsidian Black, Galaxy Silver, and Phoenix Gold color options. This phone is a rebranded version of the existing Y500i.
