Casio is adding two new models to its Baby-G lineup this July: the BGD-10KG-2JR and BGD-10KG-4JR. These are priced at ¥11,550 ($72) in Japan and lean into the ongoing Y2K hardware trend, featuring translucent resin bands and glitter-infused dials.

Casio BGD-10KG Specifications
These watches come with a modular physical design. The center digital module of the watch can be popped out of the standard resin wristband and inserted into an included silicone holder.
This holder comes with its own strap, allowing you to use the watch as a standalone time-telling charm clipped to a backpack, belt loop, or lanyard, rather than wearing it on your wrist. Casio says that users can customize the silicone holder with their own decorations, though the company warns against using metallic straps that might tear the mounting holes.
Beyond the modular case, the BGD-10KG is a straightforward, reliable digital watch. It maintains the durability metrics expected from the Baby-G line, including a shock-resistant resin build and water resistance up to 100 meters, making it perfectly fine for swimming or daily wear.

The watch is relatively compact, measuring 42.8 x 39 x 14.7 millimeters, and weighs just 33 grams. The digital display is protected by standard mineral glass.
Inside, the watch runs on a CR1616 coin-cell battery, which Casio estimates will last about three years before needing a replacement. The feature set includes the usual digital watch staples: world time covering 29 time zones and 30 cities, a stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, and five daily alarms.
It also includes a white LED backlight that stays on for two seconds to help you read the time in the dark, alongside a full auto-calendar.
Availability
Both watches are now available for pre-order through Casio’s official online store in Japan ahead of their release later this month.
In related news, Casio has recently launched four Luxe Black G-Shock 2100 series watches with an all-black minimalist design in the US.
