After teasing the audio-focused Moto Pad 70 Groove earlier, the company has now revealed key details about the standard Moto Pad 70 on a Flipkart microsite. It’s expected to arrive around August 8.
You’re getting a big 12.1-inch display with 2.5K resolution and peak brightness of 800 nits (in High Brightness Mode), so it should stay readable outdoors. The tablet also comes with the Moto Pen included in the box, which is nice for note-taking, sketching, or just more precise control.
Power comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 6400, a 6nm chip that usually powers entry-level and lower mid-range 5G smartphones. It should handle basic multitasking, streaming, and light creative work just fine, with the larger chassis helping improve heat dissipation during longer use.
Battery life looks strong too: a 10,200mAh cell with 68W fast charging. The tablet itself stays reasonably portable at 530 grams and just 6.29mm thick.
Other highlights include full 5G support, a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, and Android 16 out of the box. Motorola is promising two major Android upgrades plus security updates until 2030, a decent commitment for this segment.
Specs-wise, the Moto Pad 70 seems closely related to the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus. It’s clearly aimed at students, professionals, and families who want a large-screen tablet with stylus support, good battery life, fast charging, and a near-stock Android software experience.
Motorola seems to be targeting different types of users with the Pad 70 lineup. The already launched Pad 70 Pro combines a 144Hz 3.5K display with a sub-flagship chipset, while the upcoming Pad 70 Groove is expected to step down to a mid-range chip but focus on entertainment with its nine-speaker JBL audio setup. The standard Pad 70 is likely to appeal to users who want a large display, stylus support, and strong battery life without paying for the higher-end models. Full pricing and storage/RAM options should drop closer to launch.
