The Legion Y7MG is designed to pair with their recently launched R7 RT75 magnetic switch keyboard. One of the biggest talking points besides the high polling rate is how light the mouse is. It measures 119.22 × 62.05 × 38.20 mm and weighs just 59 grams.
Lenovo achieved this with an aluminum-magnesium alloy top shell and button covers, paired with an ABS plastic bottom. The Y-shaped hollowed design helps cut weight while still feeling solid in the hand. It also has a 500mAh battery for wireless use.
Under the shell sits a PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor, a popular high-performance option for accurate tracking. Clicks come from Kailh 100M optical switches, and the scroll wheel uses a TTC dustproof gold-plated encoder with an aluminum alloy roller for smooth, reliable operation.
Connectivity is tri-mode: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. Both the wired and 2.4GHz modes support an 8,000Hz polling rate, which is great for ultra-low latency in competitive games. RGB lighting is built in with a light diffuser that works with the cutouts to create a cool lighting effect.
This mouse clearly follows the current trend of sub-60g design. The alloy construction gives it a more premium feel than typical plastic mice, while the hollowed design helps with both weight and aesthetics.
Launched alongside the matching R7 RT75 keyboard, it’s part of Legion’s push to offer a coordinated high-performance peripherals setup.
Pricing and availability:
At 499 yuan (~$74), the Legion Y7MG is aiming at competitive players who want high-end features without paying top-tier esports brand prices. It’s currently only available in China, and the brand has not confirmed an international release.
The battery life and the software customization would require real-life testing. But on paper, the Y7MG looks like a strong contender. It packs a flagship-level sensor, optical switches, high polling rate, and an ultralight alloy body into a package that doesn’t break the bank.
