Ugreen has launched its new Max5s over-ear Bluetooth headphones in China. It is priced at 169 yuan ($25) and is now available on JD.com.

Ugreen is using 40mm custom dynamic drivers equipped with a dual-layer PET polymer diaphragm. The company notes this setup is designed to balance low, mid, and high frequencies. The Max5s support the LDAC codec for higher-resolution wireless audio transmission and carry both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications. It also includes the 3D spatial audio feature and a sensitivity rating of 113dB.
For noise management, the Max5s feature adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) that can reduce ambient sound by up to 45dB. According to Ugreen, the system monitors environmental noise and adjusts the cancellation level dynamically, performing 375,000 calculations per second. The headphones offer five adjustable ANC levels and several specific listening modes.
The headphones offer multiple noise control modes, including adaptive ANC, wind noise reduction, and enhanced isolation, while a five-microphone system helps deliver clearer voice calls by reducing background noise.
Ugreen also includes a built-in AI assistant. The software provides voice-to-text transcription, real-time interpretation, and conversation translation. When connected to a smartphone, the system can translate spoken language in real time and route the translated audio directly into the headphones.
The device is powered by an 800mAh battery. Ugreen estimates this provides up to 112 hours of playback with ANC turned off, and up to 74 hours with ANC enabled. Charging is handled through a USB-C port, requiring approximately two hours for a full charge.
The headphones weigh 238g and feature protein leather ear cushions, a 90-degree fold-flat design, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, and dual-device pairing support.
