Ugreen has released a new entry into the Bluetooth tracker market, addressing one of the most common hardware complaints about Apple’s AirTag: it actually fits inside a wallet. The Ugreen FineTrack Slim Duo 2 is a card-style tracker that has officially launched in the US and European markets, available through Amazon for $29.99 in the US and starting at €29.99 across the Eurozone.
Ugreen FineTrack Slim Duo 2 Specifications
The tracker features cross-platform compatibility, supporting both Apple’s Find My network on iPhones and iPads running iOS 14.5 or later and Google’s Find Hub network on Android devices running Android 9.0 or newer. However, it can only be connected to one ecosystem at a time and cannot use both networks simultaneously.
Physically, the tracker is very thin, measuring between 1.7mm and 1.9mm thick. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, so it should survive rain or an accidental drop in a puddle. If you misplace your wallet around the house, you can trigger a built-in buzzer that gets as loud as 110dB to help you locate it, provided you are within a 10-meter Bluetooth range.
The battery life is estimated to last between five and seven years. Because the device is so thin, the battery is completely sealed and cannot be replaced. When it eventually dies, you will have to dispose of the tracker and buy a new one. This is a standard trade-off for card-style trackers, but it remains an environmental downside.
Ugreen also included a couple of extra utilities. The card features built-in RFID shielding to block unauthorized scanning of the credit cards sitting next to it in your wallet. It also supports Left Behind alerts that ping your phone if you leave the tracker somewhere, though Ugreen says this specific notification feature only works on iOS for now.
