Red Magic is releasing a new mobile cooling fan, the Magnetic Cooler 6 Pro+. This comes after the recent Cooler 8 Pro launch. The accessory is currently available for reservation on Chinese e-commerce sites and goes on regular sale on July 31 for 209 yuan ($30), with an early-bird price of 189 yuan ($28).

The device operates at a sustained 30W and can peak at 33W. To manage thermal transfer, Red Magic is using a thermoelectric cooling (TEC) plate, which is the same high-density component found inside its Red Magic 8 Pro smartphones. This plate includes 124 pairs of semiconductor junctions spread across a 1,640 mm² surface area.
Alongside the TEC plate, the cooler includes a dual-layer thermal silicone pad that sits against the back of the phone, a cold-forged aluminum heatsink, and a seven-blade fan that spins at up to 6,000 RPM. The fan operates at around 34 decibels, which is relatively quiet given the rotational speed.
According to Red Magic, the device can reduce a phone’s temperature by up to 77 degrees Celsius under load, and the cooling surface itself can drop to -21 degrees Celsius in ideal lab conditions. As with most manufacturer testing, everyday users likely won’t see numbers quite that extreme in a standard room-temperature environment, but the 33W power limit indicates it should be more than capable of handling standard mobile processor heat.
You can control the cooler through a companion app. The software includes a smart mode that adjusts the fan speed based on how hot the phone gets, a manual adjustment mode, and a maximum output setting that Red Magic calls Destroyer Mode.
The unit weighs 102 grams and attaches to the back of a phone using a standard 14N magnetic ring. If a phone doesn’t have built-in magnets, there is an optional clip attachment, though it is sold separately. It runs off a standard USB-C connection and features an air duct design meant to push warm exhaust air away from your hands while holding the phone horizontally.
