Motorola Android 17 beta program expansion

Over a dozen Motorola devices have already been a part of the Android 17 beta program, and now the list has just gotten bigger. The company has opened the beta registration for more devices, including popular Edge 70 series models, Razr models, and some affordable Moto G-series phones.

The announcement was made via multiple posts on the official community forum, along with details of the registration process and requirements. As always, Motorola accepts a limited number of users for the beta program, so you must submit your participation as soon as possible.

If you want to be a part of the beta program, you must opt in for MFN/beta testing for your Motorola device and then apply for an available testing opportunity. We have a detailed step-by-step guide you can follow.

It’s worth noting that beta builds are prone to having bugs and instability. If you still want to proceed, at least have a complete backup of your important data. Also, charge your device to at least 50% before hitting the install button.

After upgrading to Android 17 beta, you’ll have an updated notification panel and control center, new lock screen clock faces, and an updated Settings page. The update also introduces a new volume mixer and upgraded Live Activities that now also work with calls, music, and torch.
