RedMagic confirmed the chip for its next gaming flagship earlier today, and now a fresh leak fills in most of what that announcement left out. You’re looking at an 8,400mAh battery, 120W wired charging, and 80W wireless charging on the RedMagic 12 Pro+.
The brand already teased a redesign with tighter bezels cut down to 0.96mm, and the new leak backs that up while adding a wrinkle: the standard RedMagic 12 Pro is reportedly getting dropped from the lineup entirely, leaving the Pro+ as the only model when the series launches. If true, buyers won’t have a cheaper option as they did with the RedMagic 11 Pro and 11 Pro+.

Inside, you get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 that RedMagic already confirmed, paired with a new-generation under-display camera. RedMagic has been using under-screen selfie cameras since the 8 series, and the leak suggests further refinement in how well the sensor blends into the panel without visible discoloration or dips in image quality. Combined with the narrower bezels, the front of the phone should look closer to an uninterrupted slab of glass than any previous RedMagic model.
The screen refresh rate is also said to be climbing further, though exact numbers haven’t surfaced yet. Given the liquid-and-air cooling setup rumored for the series back in July, it looks like sustained performance and thermals remain the priority even as the design shrinks down.
RedMagic has already said the 12 Pro+ is meant to be its most comfortable phone yet to hold, and the thinner body with a bigger battery suggests the company found some real efficiency gains in the new chip and cooling combo to pull that off.
RedMagic is targeting a launch in October for the 12 Pro+. There’s also talk that national esports players have been training on RedMagic devices ahead of the Asian Games, though it’s not clear yet whether the 12 Pro+ itself will make an appearance there.
