Portronics has released the AuraTrio, a new modular Bluetooth speaker system designed around a detachable three-piece form factor. Rather than relying on a single unit to project audio across a room, the AuraTrio consists of a central 60-watt speaker and two 15-watt satellite speakers that magnetically dock to the sides of the main body.

When attached, the system functions as a standard, single-unit Bluetooth speaker with a combined 90-watt output. However, the two satellite units can be physically removed and placed in different locations around a room or outdoor area to physically separate the audio source.
The main unit is built with a 100 x 120mm woofer, two 45mm tweeters, and two passive radiators. It also includes a built-in carrying handle and a switchable Bassboost mode for adjusting lower frequencies. The entire system is wrapped in a black, textured fabric exterior.
To keep the three separate units playing in sync, the AuraTrio uses Bluetooth 5.4 and Auracast technology. Auracast allows the main speaker to broadcast its audio directly to the two satellites without requiring users to download a separate companion app to manage the connection.
Because it uses the Auracast standard, the system can also broadcast to other compatible third-party speakers. Alternatively, the satellite speakers can be used entirely independently from the main unit. For wired connections, the system includes standard USB and AUX inputs, and the satellite units feature built-in DAC support.
All three components of the AuraTrio carry an IPX6 water resistance rating, meaning they can withstand rain or direct splashes of water. Power is supplied by a 4,500mAh battery in the main speaker and individual 2,000mAh batteries in each of the satellites.
Portronics says the system will last for up to six hours of continuous playback. The speakers charge via USB-C and support 30W Power Delivery. The main unit requires roughly two and a half hours for a full charge, while the satellites take about three hours.
Pricing and Availability
The AuraTrio is available now in India. It has a standard retail price of Rs. 24,999 ($260), but is currently selling at an introductory price of Rs. 14,999 ($156). It can be purchased through the Portronics website, Amazon India, Flipkart, and various offline retailers, and it includes a standard 12-month warranty.
