If you’ve been eyeing a high-end Samsung phone but didn’t want to drop the full retail amount, there’s finally a solid new option. For the first time, Samsung is selling its official Certified Re-Newed Galaxy phones directly on Amazon. That means you can get a manufacturer-backed refurbished phone instead of gambling on some random third-party refurb.

Right now the lineup focuses on selected models from the Galaxy S24 and S25 series. Prices start at $489 for the Galaxy S24 FE (128GB). The regular Galaxy S24 starts at $519, the S24+ at $649, and the S24 Ultra at $849. From the newer generation, the S25 begins at $599, the S25+ at $749, and the S25 Ultra at $979. Higher storage versions cost more, as you’d expect. Each model is currently available in just one color: Graphite for the S24 FE, Onyx Black for the S24 and S24+, Titanium Black for the Ultra models, and Silver Shadow for the S25 and S25+.

These aren’t your typical refurbished phones. Samsung specialists actually service every device using 100% genuine Samsung parts, including a brand-new certified battery. The phones have to clear 147 quality checks before they earn the Certified Re-Newed badge. They ship in fully recyclable packaging with a quick-start guide, data cable, and SIM ejector tool, and they come with a one-year limited manufacturer warranty. You can also add Samsung Care+ if you want extra protection against drops and other accidents.

One thing to note: the Galaxy S26 series is already available through Samsung’s own Certified Re-Newed store, but it’s not on Amazon yet. Foldables are also missing from the current Amazon selection.

New flagship prices have been climbing thanks to rising component costs (especially memory), so a lot of people are looking for ways to get premium hardware without the full hit. Samsung’s long software support, up to seven years of OS and security updates on recent flagships, helps these refurbished models stay useful for a long time. And the fresh battery removes one of the biggest complaints people have with older phones: battery life that just doesn’t last like it used to.
