The upcoming OnePlus Ace 7 series is packing some seriously high refresh rates, with a clear focus on faster touch response and more stable networking. It’s pretty clear they’re aiming the Ace 7 series at people who take mobile gaming seriously.

OnePlus Ace 7 series

The company confirmed the series will come with a self-developed “e-sports triple chip” setup. That includes the touch response chip T3, the e-sports network chip G3, and the super display chip P4. The T3 supports a 520Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate and works with official game-coordinated zone touch for more precise control.

The G3 network chip is said to cut cellular game stuttering by 46%, reduce cellular game latency by 17%, and improve Wi-Fi network grabbing ability by 37%. On the display side, the P4 chip enables continuous 185Hz output, which should help keep motion looking cleaner during high-frame-rate gameplay.

Design-wise, the phones take a few cues from flagships. There’s a “hidden” air intake that uses aerodynamic principles for better airflow, plus a customizable “Interstellar Light Effect” breathing light for gaming vibes and notifications. They also get a metal frame and a new AG silk glass finish.

OnePlus Ace 7 series dual-path airflow system

The Ace 7 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and introduces an industry-first dual-path airflow system. The idea is to keep frame rates stable while keeping temperatures under control. The whole lineup shares the same Oriental screen as the OnePlus 16, with a global 165Hz refresh rate that jumps to 185Hz in supported games. Camera-wise, there’s a 200MP main sensor, and the Pro model adds a 3.5x periscope telephoto.

Power comes from a big 9000mAh “glacier” battery paired with 100W super flash charging. OnePlus claims this setup can handle up to 7 hours of continuous 185fps gaming or 24 hours of video playback. The Ace 7 series is set to be unveiled on October 29.
