Let’s delve into a comparison between the LG V30 and the OnePlus 6 smartphones. The long-awaited V30 was made available to the public in August last year, while the equally anticipated OnePlus 6 was launched in May 2018.

As far as cosmetic appearance is concerned, the LG V30 smartphone features a breathtaking 6.0 inches P-OLED, QHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. Up front, the phone houses a 5-megapixel f/2.2 camera for selfies and face-to-face video chatting.

Aside from carrying a fingerprint scanner, the V30 sports a 16-megapixels + 13-megapixels dual camera setup with dual-LED and AF on the back. Weighing in at 158 grams (with battery), the phone’s dimensions are 5.97 in x 2.97 in x 0.29 in (LxWxH).

Housed in a full metal body, the LG V30 smartphone is currently up for grabs in aurora black, cloud silver, Moroccan blue, and lavender-violet color options. In terms of protection, the device boasts military-grade MIL-STD 810G certification.

The OnePlus 6 smartphone features an eye-catching aluminum alloy and glass body design, which is further augmented with an equally appealing 6.28 inches Optic AMOLED 16M FHD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) full-screen display. Moreover, it comes with Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection.

There’s a fingerprint scanner along with a 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup with dual LED flash and AF on the rear. The OnePlus 6 smartphone also features a 16-megapixel front shooter for the selfie addicts.

The phone’s length is 155.7 mm, its width is 75.35 mm and its height is 7.75 mm. Even with the battery, the phone weighs in at only 179 grams.

Hardware & Performance

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998, 64-bit processor, the LG V30 is a power-packed smartphone that packs a robust Qualcomm Adreno 540, 710 MHz GPU, under the hood. The phone offers 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB/128GB ROM which can further be expanded up to 256GB.

The V30 is backed by a built-in 3,300 mAh Lithium-ion battery which is equipped with Quick Charging 3.0. There are 3 card slots i.e. microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC available on the phone apart from a slew of sensors such as fingerprint, accelerometer, compass, gravity, gyroscope, light sensor, proximity, and color spectrum.

The OnePlus 6 smartphone, on the other hand, packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 64-bit processor and uses a Qualcomm Adreno 630 graphics processing unit. The phone comes with 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of non-expandable onboard storage.

The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM) smartphone supports dual standby and draws its juices from a 3,300 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. This non-removable cell supports Dash Charge (5V 4A) feature.

Although the OnePlus 6 doesn’t include card slots, it boasts a broad range of useful sensors including an ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, hall sensor, sensor hub, step detector, step counter. You can even find a fingerprint sensor located on the back.


The LG V30 smartphone would set you back about $719 on shopping stores. The OnePlus 6 smartphone comes bearing a slightly lower price tag of about $680.
