Design
Weighing 200g and measuring 163.6 x 74.3 x 8.9mm, the Redmi Note 12T Pro is the heaviest and biggest of the three (but also the most beautiful in my opinion), suggesting a robust build and comfortable screen size for media consumption. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo, at 181g and 161.1 x 75 x 7.9mm, provides a balance between weight and size. The Redmi Note 12 4G, being the lightest and slimmest, comes at 183.5g and 165.7 x 76 x 7.9mm.
Display
All three phones provide Full HD+ resolution, ensuring sharp and vivid images. However, their display types differ. The Redmi Note 12T Pro comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo sports a 6.67-inch OLED panel, and the Redmi Note 12 4G features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. While all offer excellent display quality, the AMOLED on the Redmi Note 12 4G will deliver deeper blacks and more vibrant colors, followed closely by the OLED of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
Specs & Software
The Redmi Note 12T Pro, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra, an octa-core chipset clocking at 3.1 GHz, offers substantial speed and efficiency. It’s followed by the Redmi Note 12 Turbo with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 at 2.91 GHz. Lastly, the Redmi Note 12 4G houses a Snapdragon 685 clocked at 2.8 GHz. The 12T Pro and the Turbo both offer generous memory options starting at 8 GB and going up to 16 GB, with storage of up to 1TB on the Turbo. The Note 12 4G starts at a modest 4 GB, maxing at 8 GB, with storage options up to 128 GB, but includes a micro SD slot. All three phones with the exception of the vanilla version run on the latest Android 13 with Xiaomi’s MIUI interface, ensuring up-to-date security patches, features, and a smooth user experience. Both the Redmi Note 12T Pro and the Redmi Note 12 Turbo offer Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, allowing faster wireless connection speeds. The Redmi Note 12 4G lags behind slightly with Bluetooth 5.0 but maintains Wi-Fi ac standard.
Camera
Camera-wise, the Redmi Note 12T Pro and Redmi Note 12 Turbo are identical, sporting a triple setup of 64 + 8 + 2 MP and a 16 MP front camera. The Redmi Note 12 4G isn’t far behind with a triple rear setup of 50 + 8 + 2 MP and a 13 MP front camera. All three devices offer high-resolution imaging, but the higher megapixels on the Pro and Turbo mean more detailed pictures.
Battery
Battery performance is crucial, and here, the Redmi Note 12T Pro leads with a 5080 mAh battery, followed by the Turbo and the 4G, both with a 5000 mAh. However, both the Pro and Turbo come with a 67W fast charging feature, which far outpaces the 33W charging of the Note 12 4G.
Price
The Redmi Note 12T Pro starts from about €340 or $373, the 12 Turbo starts from €270 or $295, and the vanilla version from less than €200 or $220.
