Design
The Samsung Galaxy S23 has a more compact design, making it easier to hold and use with one hand. It is even more beautiful than its rival, thanks to its cameras placed directly on the rear cover instead of bringing a camera island. It also features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back, which provides extra durability. Last but not least, it is waterproof with the IP68 certification, unlike its opponent. The OnePlus 11 has a larger display and a slightly heavier weight, as well as bigger dimensions. It offers a bit of resistance against water, but it has the IP64 certification and it is not waterproof. Both phones have a glass back and an aluminum frame, so the materials are good, but the build quality of the Samsung Galaxy S23 is superior.
Display
The OnePlus 11 has a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, HDR10+ certification, Dolby Vision support, and the ability to show up to one billion colors. The Samsung Galaxy S23 has a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. Both devices come with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification, and an in-display fingerprint reader. But the OnePlus 11’s display is wider and has a higher resolution, making it better suited for multimedia consumption. Its panel is also wider, so better for gaming and productivity. The only advantage of the Samsung Galaxy S23 is the very compact dimension of its display.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 and OnePlus 11 are powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, but the Samsung Galaxy S23 has a slightly higher clock speed of 3.36 GHz because it has a customized version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 made for Galaxy flagships. The OnePlus 11 is available with higher storage and RAM configurations of up to 512GB and 16GB respectively, while the Samsung Galaxy S23 maxes out at 512GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S23 runs on One UI 5.1, while the OnePlus 11 runs on OxygenOS, but these phones both come with Android 13 out of the box.
