Nothing has not only made headlines in the smartphone sector – the design of their past earphones have caused a stir, just like their phones. One more time, Nothing seems like it’s back with another pair of earbuds, and an official teaser has been released by the company. Watch the trailer here, posted by Nothing on X.
The video doesn’t give away too much. There’s a frog, there are some cool close motion photography shots and then the text ‘Nothing (R)’ is displayed. Maybe the leap of the frog has something to do with the leap the third iteration of the earphones will take over its predecessors, the Nothing Ear (2).
The Ear (2) True Wireless Earbuds came with advanced features such as Hi-Res Audio and LHDC 5.0 technology. Custom sound tuning was also possible through the companion app, Nothing X, so this is the least we can expect from Nothing Ear (3). With 11.6mm custom drivers and a new dual-chamber design, the Ear (2) were quite a trendsetter. Plus, personalized ANC support offered up to 40 dB of noise reduction, and the adaptive noise cancellation mode automatically adjusts noise reduction levels based on the surroundings. Maybe this time around, we can expect an improvement on the battery life. Who knows?
To commemorate their 90th anniversary in February 2024, Fujifilm unveiled a special edition X100VI camera. This unique offering boasts several features that set it apart from the standard model. For instance, each X100VI in this limited edition sports the historic Fujifilm logo used in 1934, a subtle yet significant nod to the company’s rich heritage. But what truly elevates its collectability to the next level is its limited production; only 1,934 units will be available worldwide. To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, Fujifilm has partnered with the Shanghai Dongfang Notary Office. On March 29th, a computerized random selection process will choose the 265 lucky winners in mainland China.
1934 units signify the founding year of the brand – 1934.
The exclusivity extends beyond the numbering. The X100VI limited edition comes in a special silver color and is packaged in a commemorative gift box. This collector’s kit includes a unique camera strap, a special shutter heightening button, and a commemorative card detailing Fujifilm’s journey through the years.
For customers in mainland China, the 90th-anniversary edition offers an even more enticing package. The gift box goes beyond the standard limited-edition contents to include a lithium battery, a customized camera bag, and a generous 256GB SD memory card.
It’s important to note that due to the limited nature and unique serial numbering, Fujifilm does not accept returns or exchanges for the 90th-anniversary X100VI. However, collectors can rest assured knowing their prized possession is covered by a two-year warranty, including a standard one-year warranty and an additional year of extended coverage.
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has taken the foldable phone world by storm, not just for its functionality but for its remarkably thin profile. But how did Vivo achieve this feat of engineering? Thankfully, the folks at WekiHome have taken it upon themselves to disassemble the phone and reveal its inner secrets in a recent teardown video.
The motherboard uses a dual-stack layout to house the triple camera setup
After removing the SIM card slot, applying some heat and prying it open with a tool, the back cover of the phone detaches. While thin, it’s constructed from a reinforced fiber composite, ensuring durability without adding unnecessary bulk. Peeling back this layer reveals the other side of the phone, dominated by a large sheet of copper foil. This acts as a thermal conductor, keeping the display panel cool even during intense use. Tucked beneath it, we find a second-generation Qualcommultrasonic fingerprint scanner for secure unlocking.
The journey continues with the motherboard, a marvel of compact design. It utilizes a dual-stacked layout to neatly house the triple camera system. But that’s not all! This clever design also integrates a unique plastic cover that not only protects the cameras, but also serves as a functional hub for the flash cable, microphone, ambient light sensor, and laser focus module. The teardown even provides close-up shots of these camera components, along with sample photos to pique our curiosity about their image quality.
Next, we dive deeper to encounter the powerhouse of the phone – the motherboard. Here, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip takes center stage, supported by the performance of Samsung‘s LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Vivo’s own V3 imaging chip also makes an appearance. But keeping all this processing power from overheating is an important task, entrusted to a copper vapor chamber positioned beneath the motherboard.
We also get a closer look at the speakers, microphones, and the vibration motor. The dual-cell 5,700mAh silicone anode battery, cleverly split into two 2,850mAh cells for optimal space utilization, is also revealed. Finally, the teardown concludes by showcasing the pièce de résistance – the lightweight carbon fiber hinge. Weighing in at an impressive sub-15 grams, the hinge is a big contributor to the phone’s remarkably thin design of the device.
Researchers from Northwestern Polytechnical University in China have made a huge breakthrough in assisting the country’s 17 million visually impaired people. Their development of an AI guide dog using an artificial intelligence language model holds a lot of promise for providing navigation and companionship.
Unlike cold machines, the AI guides can understand human instructions & converse
This AI guide dog goes beyond the limitations of previous electronic navigation aids. Unlike “cold machines” programmed for specific tasks, this AI companion can understand human instructions and even engage in conversation. The ability to navigate environments like streets, elevators, and indoor spaces offers significant support for daily activities.

“Smart guide dogs using the language model can offer them more convenient and safe navigation, effectively improving their quality of life,” said Sun Zhe, an associate professor at the university. Traditional guide dogs, while exceptional, are expensive to train and limited in availability in China.
The research team is still in the early stages of development, but their findings published in the Communications of the Chinese Computer Society demonstrate the feasibility of the concept. This collaborative effort between the university and the China Telecom Artificial Intelligence Research Institute holds the potential to change how visually impaired people navigate. While a number of challenges remain before widespread adoption, the researchers are committed to further developing this technology. Their dedication could soon translate into improved quality of life and greater independence for millions.
If you’re a technology enthusiast, you probably do a lot of research before buying anything. Watching review videos and reading articles is definitely the best way to make a smart choice for yourself. However, if you’re really into tech, a normal review might not be enough. You might want to know everything about the product you’re going to buy, not just its features. If that sounds like you, and the Galaxy A55 is on your shopping list, you’re in luck. Someone took the phone apart and made a video, and it shows that it’s very easy to fix. Here are the details…
Samsung Galaxy A55 Teardown Shows Simplicity
Smartphones are truly engineering marvels; that much is certain! From entry-level to top-of-the-line, each phone is made up of dozens of parts working together. Assembling these pieces is more complex than it might seem. While this creates amazing products, it also raises concerns about repairability.
But the Samsung Galaxy A55 could be a game-changer. According to a teardown video on the PBKreviews YouTube channel, the Samsung Galaxy A55 is remarkably easy to repair – and that applies to the entire phone! Opening it up requires only a heat gun (similar to a hairdryer) and a suction-cup tool. Check out the first few minutes of the video for the steps.
After that, things get even simpler. The motherboard, battery, cameras, processor, and other components are all easily accessible and replaceable. This will undoubtedly benefit both the phone’s initial price and future repair costs. If you’d like more details, you can watch the entire video below:

Earlier in January this year, we got a first look at Google’s Pixel 9 and 9 Pro smartphones in leaked renders. These were shared by reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka Onleaks). Now, there’s a twist to that story. He has revealed that the standard and pro models that were previously leaked will be marketed as Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL respectively. The latter would mark the return of the XL moniker that was last found on the Pixel 4 years ago.
This also begs the question of whether Google will launch the standard Pixel 9. The answer seems to be yes, as it has surfaced in leaked renders.
Google Pixel 9 surfaces in leaked renders, previous leak was about the 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL
As per the leaked renders, the Google Pixel 9 will also share the same design as the Pro and Pro XL variants. It looks compact with a boxy design and flat frame. The phone also has curved corners. The power and volume rocker buttons are on the right side. Meanwhile, the back panel sports a big protruding pill-shaped camera bridge that does not extend to the corners like its predecessors.
The renders reveal the Pixel 9 with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout display surrounded by symmetrical bezels on all sides. The key difference between the standard and pro models is that the former will have a slightly smaller 6.03-inch screen compared to 6.1 inches on the latter. The standard model will also have dual camera setup and lack a periscope lens as seen on the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL.
Dimension-wise, Onleaks says that the Pixel 9 will measure 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, and 12mm with the rear camera bump.
Samsung is expected to unveil the sixth-generation Galaxy Z foldable in early July this year. Leaks and rumours are gathering pace about the upcoming foldable phones. Now, both the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 have bagged China’s 3C certification. It reveals the charging speed of the foldable devices and it seems that things won’t change this year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6 bag 3C certification
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is listed with model number SM-F9560 whereas the Z Fold 6 has SM-F7410 model number on the 3C certification platform. As per the regulatory listing, these phones will support Samsung’s charger with model number EP-TA800. It does not explicitly reveal the charging speed but going by the charger’s model number, it will max out at 25W.
Samsung has limited the battery charging speed to 25W on the Galaxy Z foldables since the original models. There’s a possibility that this won’t change if the latest 3C certification of the sixth-generation offerings indeed turns out to be true. The batteries of Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 appeared on Safety Korea certification earlier this month. It mentioned that both phones will have a dual-cell battery setup.
Leaked renders have revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will feature a boxier design and sharp corners whereas the Z Flip 6 will not have any cosmetic changes. The former is also rumoured to sport a titanium frame. The colour variants of both foldable phones have also been tipped recently.
Just a few years ago, the Covid-19 pandemic changed the world. People stayed home to avoid getting sick, and many countries had lockdowns. With more time at home for work, school, and boredom, people bought a lot of electronics like smartphones, game consoles, and computers. Companies couldn’t even make enough to keep up. But as the pandemic got better and life returned to normal, electronics sales slowed down. The computer market especially saw a drop. Luckily, this slowdown looks temporary, with the PC market in China and India expected to grow in 2024. Here are the details…
India & China Lead PC Market Growth in 2024
The PC market in both China and India is poised for significant growth in the coming years, according to Canalys. The Chinese market is expected to see a rebound in 2024, with growth of 3%. This growth is projected to accelerate to 10% in 2025. This surge is primarily driven by commercial sector demand for PC upgrades. Meanwhile, China’s tablet market is also expected to experience steady growth of 4% in both 2024 and 2025, fueled by deepening digitalization initiatives.
Similarly, in India PC market, including desktops, notebooks, and tablets, is forecast for a robust 14% year-on-year increase in 2024. All segments are expected to contribute to this growth, with tablets leading the charge at an impressive 24% year-on-year rise. Notably, despite the projected overall growth, Q4 2023 shipments saw desktops lead with a 27% increase, followed by notebooks at 3%. Interestingly, tablets in India experienced a 9% decline in shipments during the same period.
The rise of AI-powered PCs and locally manufactured devices are key trends driving this growth in India and China. Different companies will benefit from PC market growth in India and China. In India, Samsung is the biggest winner with 26%, followed by Lenovo (14.8%) and Apple (13.3%). China is different, Lenovo is far ahead with 38%, while Huawei and HP tie for second place with 10% each. The complete breakdown of market shares is as follows:
Back in October 2023, Qualcomm unveiled the highly anticipated Snapdragon X Elite. This chipset is claimed to be faster than the Apple M2 Max chipset. Now, we have a better idea of its gaming performance as the chip was recently seen running Baldur’s Date 3.
Snapdragon X Elite’s Adreno GPU can run Baldur’s Gate 3
To recall, Qualcomm promised that the Snapdragon X Elite won’t require porting of x86-based games since they will run smoothly on the ARM chipset. The new processor will be featured on the next gen laptops and the official announcement confirms that it will support most games that are available on Windows PCs. Developers that want to run their games on the ARM processor can either run natively on ARM64, run hybrid on ARM64EC, or run x64 based emulation.
It is worth noting that only the first two options guarantee a better performance overall. For those unaware, the Snapdragon X Elite’s Adreno GPU is capable of outputting 4.6TFLOPs and supports DX12, DX11, Vulkan, OpenGL, as well as legacy support for DX9 and OpenGL 4.6. As per official notes, the chipset was seen offering an 80 percent performance uplift against the AMD Radeon 780M iGPU.
In a video shared by Devin Arthur, we can see the chipset in action running Baldur’s Gate 3. On 1080p resolution, the game was capable of painting a framerate of around 30 frames per second. Unfortunately, the finer graphics settings are unknown. But this does paint a positive picture for gaming on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon powered laptops. The company isn’t claiming a powerhouse in gaming with this chip, but we can expect to see improvements in the performance over time with optimizations and driver updates.
