Getty Images and Picsart, a popular photo editing platform, have joined forces to create a novel AI image generator. This unique tool aims to address copyright concerns plaguing current AI image generation models.
The training data will comprise exclusively of licensed stock images
The key difference lies in the training data. Unlike other models that might use a mix of sources, the Picsart and Getty generator will be trained exclusively on licensed stock images from Getty Images. This ensures all the content used to create the AI model is authorized for commercial use. The companies are touting this approach as a “responsible, commercially-safe” alternative. Images generated by this model will come with full commercial rights, allowing users to freely incorporate them into their projects without copyright worries.
Similar to Adobe’s recent attempt with their Firefly AI model, the Picsart and Getty tool will be a paid service accessible only to Picsart’s subscribing users. This approach avoids the controversy surrounding Adobe’s plan to potentially use user-generated content for training their AI model.
Getty seems committed to ethical practices. They’ve assured users that photographers whose work contributes to the training data will be “compensated creators included in the dataset on an annual basis.”
While a specific launch date remains unknown, the Picsart and Getty Images AI image generator is expected to be released later this year. It will be accessible through Picsart’s API services, allowing integration with various creative workflows.

Although not new to the foldable market, Honor has just launched its first clamshell folding phone, the Magic V Flip. Meanwhile, its former parent company Huawei has already released three flip phones, the latest being the Huawei Pocket 2. Both phones bring a stylish touch to the foldable trend, but which one is better? Let’s dive into a head-to-head comparison.
Both the phones come in a now-familiar clamshell design with a large, foldable main display. The Honor Magic V Flip features a 6.8-inch foldable LTPO OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR and Dolby Vision support, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
The Huawei Pocket 2, on the other hand, has a slightly larger 6.94-inch LTPO OLED screen with the same 120Hz refresh rate but a lower peak brightness of 2200 nits. However, both displays are bright enough to ensure good outdoor visibility.
Honor Magic V Flip
The cover screens, however, set these phones apart. The Honor Magic V Flip has a large 4-inch edge-to-edge screen with features carried over from the main screen, including a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR certification.
In contrast, the Huawei Pocket 2 has a small 1.15-inch cover screen below the camera module. While it allows you to check notifications, you need to flip open the phone for things such as to reply to messages. The Magic V Flip’s cover screen is large enough to handle most tasks without opening the phone.
When folded, both phones are incredibly thin, with the Honor Magic V Flip having a slight edge at 14.9mm compared to the Huawei Pocket 2’s 15.3mm. The Magic V Flip is also lighter, weighing 193g compared to the Pocket 2’s 199g. Both phones use an aluminum frame and offer a dual SIM slot, but neither has expandable storage.
2. Performance and Battery
For performance, the Honor Magic V Flip features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, an older but still high-end processor. Huawei has not officially disclosed the processor details for the Pocket 2, but it is believed to use the Kirin 9000S chip, similar to the one in the Mate 60 Pro.
Both devices offer memory options of 12GB and 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. The Honor Magic V Flip has a slightly larger 4800mAh battery compared to the Pocket 2’s 4520mAh battery.
They support 66W fast wired charging. However, the Pocket 2 offers additional features such as 40W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, which are not available on the Honor Magic V Flip.
3. Cameras
The camera department is often a key differentiator in smartphones, and these foldable phones are no exception. The Huawei Pocket 2 features a quad rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP spectral lens. The main and telephoto lenses have OIS support, delivering good-quality photos in most lighting conditions.
In contrast, the Honor Magic V Flip has just two rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Front-facing cameras are equally important for selfies and video calls. The Huawei Pocket 2 has a 10.7MP punch-hole selfie camera, while the Honor Magic V Flip has a higher resolution 50MP wide-angle lens.
4. Software
One of the biggest differences between the two phones is their operating systems. The Huawei Pocket 2 runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS, an alternative operating system developed in-house.
While HarmonyOS offers a smooth and user-friendly experience, it still lacks native access to popular Google apps and services like the Play Store, YouTube, and Gmail. This can be a deal-breaker for users who rely heavily on these services.
The Honor Magic V Flip, on the other hand, runs on Android 14-based MagicOS 8 with Google Mobile Services (GMS) pre-installed. So users have full access to the Google Play Store and all the apps and services they’re familiar with. It’s an advantage for Honor, especially in markets outside of China where Google services are widely used.
5. Price and Availability
The Honor Magic V Flip undercuts the Huawei Pocket 2 in terms of price. It starts at CNY 4,999 (~$689) for the base 8GB + 256GB variant, whereas the Huawei Pocket 2 starts at CNY 7,499 (~$1,044) for the base 256GB model. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the pricing:
Honor Magic V Flip:
8GB + 256GB: CNY 4,999 (~$689)
12GB + 512GB: CNY 5,499 (~$758)
12GB + 1TB: CNY 5,999 (~$827)
16GB + 1TB (Limited Edition): CNY 6,999 (~$965)
Huawei Pocket 2:
12GB + 256GB: 7,499 Yuan (~ $1,044)
12GB + 512GB: 7,999 Yuan (~ $1,113)
12GB + 1TB: 8,999 Yuan (~ $1,252)
Note that both these devices are currently only available in China.
6. Conclusion
The Honor Magic V Flip is a compelling competitor to the Huawei Pocket 2, particularly when considering the significant price difference.
It offers a larger cover display, possibly better performance with the Snapdragon processor, a high-resolution selfie camera, and a slightly larger battery. However, the Huawei Pocket 2 retains some advantages with its telephoto lens and wireless charging capabilities.
Additionally, users who prefer the Android ecosystem will find the Honor Magic V Flip more appealing, while those who have experience with HarmonyOS or prioritize features like wireless charging might lean towards the Huawei Pocket 2. Ultimately, the choice between these two phones depends on individual priorities and budget.
Samsung is set to unveil Galaxy Tab S10 series soon! While the exact launch date is currently unknown, we expect Tab S10 series to be introduced in 2025. Earlier this year, Oppo unveiled the Oppo F25 Pro 5G in India, and now the brand is back with a new F-series phone, the Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G. As a tech enthusiast always on the lookout for innovative gadgets, I was eager to get my hands on the F27 Pro+, especially given its bold claim of being the first all-around waterproof phone.
The Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G comes in Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy color options. In this post, you can see the latter, which according to the brand captures the serene tones of the night sky. In terms of appearance, it looks quite appealing with a beautifully designed vegan leather back and a curved-edge display on the front. In addition, the rear panel has a siloxane coating for stain resistance. The device is slim at 7.58mm and weighs only 177 grams.
The real star of the show, however, is the durability of the F27 Pro+. It is IP68 certified, safeguarding against dust and water immersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Additionally, the IP66 and IP69 certifications ensure protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets from any direction. This makes it truly “monsoon-ready” and capable of withstanding various harsh conditions. In addition, the display of the phone is usable with wet fingers. Speaking of the screen, it is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 2.
According to Oppo, the F27 Pro+ has received the Swiss SGS Premium Performance 5 Stars Drop Resistance Certification, demonstrating its ability to endure falls from up to 1.8 meters. The SGS testing included multiple angle drop tests, drop resistance tests with a limit height, and drop resistance tests with a limit number of times. Furthermore, the phone has passed the MIL-STD 810H military-grade shock resistance test, which encompasses multi-angle drop tests, high-intensity impact tests, and other demanding durability assessments.
While individual experiences may vary due to factors like device ageing and usage habits, these certifications and test results underscore the Oppo F27 Pro+’s resilience and ability to withstand real-world drops and impacts.
I took it out in a torrential downpour, and it performed flawlessly. I also submerged the phone for around 20 minutes, just for testing, and it worked fine without any hiccups. A word of caution: if your F27 Pro+ gets wet or submerged in water, make sure to completely dry it before charging it.
The retail package of the device includes: the Oppo F27 Pro+ handset, an 80W charger, a USB-C to USB-A cable, a SIM ejector tool, a Quick Guide, a Safety Guide, and a protective case.
2. Display
The 6.7-inch AMOLED panel of the F27 Pro+ is vibrant and sharp, perfect for binge-watching my favorite shows. The screen supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 950 nits of brightness, which makes it usable in direct sunlight. Without dual speakers for stereo output, the bottom-firing speaker comes with ultra-volume mode, supposedly increasing the sound output by 300 percent. In the real world, it offers an output similar to that of dual speakers. However, since there is only one speaker, it sounds a bit screeching when the volume is set to the highest setting. ‘
3. Performance
Performance-ise, the F27 Pro+ offers a Dimensity 7050 chipset, LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. Apps open quickly, multitasking is seamless, and it’s sufficient for playing casual games. The ColorOS 14.1-layered Android 14 offers a smooth user experience without any lag or slowdown in my usage. However, it still comes with many preinstalled apps, which some users may not like. It is confirmed to receive two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. There is no expandable storage slot on the device.
The 5,000mAh battery easily lasts me a full day of normal usage, and the 67W fast charging is fast enough. I can go from 0 to 100% in around 50 to 55 minutes. The following images show the F27 Pro+’s performance on CPU Throttle, AnTuTu, and Geekbench.
4. Cameras
The Oppo F27 Pro+ gets the flagship-grade 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B main sensor, which captures detailed photos with vibrant colors, and the portrait mode produces impressive results. However, there is no support for optical image stabilization for the main camera. The AI features, like the portrait retouching and AI eraser, are surprisingly useful. I was able to remove some unwanted photobombers from my vacation pics with ease. The main snapper is joined by a 2-megapixel camera, and on the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. Shown below are some camera samples.

5. Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G price in India
The Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G has arrived in India in two options:
8GB+128GB: Rs 27,999 (~$335)
8GB+256GB: Rs 29,999 (~$360)
Colors: Dusk Pink and Midnight Blue
Oppo is now receiving preorders for the F27 Pro+ via Amazon, Flipkart, and the Oppo India website. The first sale of the device will be carried out on June 20. When it comes to offers, buyers will get 6 months of accidental and liquid damage protection worth Rs 1199, no-cost EMI for up to 6 months, and consumer loans for up to 9 months without a down payment. Customers can also benefit from an exchange bonus of Rs 1000 and an additional Rs 1000 loyalty bonus for existing OPPO customers. Lastly, there is 10% instant cashback on HDFC, SBI, and ICICI Bank cards.
Historically, Oppo’s F series has been popular for its “Selfie Expert” phones, emphasizing front-facing camera features to cater to selfie enthusiasts. This trend has evolved over time, with recent F series models expanding their focus to include other aspects like overall performance, display quality, and fast charging. For photography enthusiasts, Oppo seems to be focusing on the Reno series of smartphones.
The Oppo F27 Pro+, as detailed in this post, exemplifies this shift. While it is packed with solid specs, it also emphasizes durability, a unique feature not typically associated with the F series. This suggests a new direction for the F series, possibly catering to users who prioritize a rugged and long-lasting smartphone alongside other features. Nevertheless, it offers the best durability features compared to any other phone in its price segment. I would recommend the F27 Pro+ to anyone looking for a durable midrange phone with a stylish design and decent specs.
Disclaimer: All of the opinions in this Oppo F27 Pro+ 6 5G hands-on review are mine and based on my own experiences. There has been no editorial input from Oppo.
Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra in several regions. Since the beginning of the year, Samsung has been rumored to be adding a mysterious “Ultra” model to its Galaxy Z Fold lineup. While rumors have been circulating about this foldable smartphone, Android Headlines has come across some remarkable information. The new Z Fold 6 Ultra was rumored to be limited to Korea and was not expected to be introduced in other regions. However, the AH team has officially confirmed that the Z Fold 6 Ultra will be introduced in China.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra won’t only be sold in Korea
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and 6 Ultra were confirmed to have internal model numbers Q6 and Q6A. Also, it was stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra would come with the model number SM-F958N, and users were given sad news. The Z Fold 6 Ultra was first speculated to be a Korea-only model. Now everything has changed with the emergence of the new Z Fold 6 Ultra with the model number SM-W9025. So why is this model number so unique?
Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra SM-W9025 Q6A
Samsung is selling its Z Fold models in the global market under a different name in China. The Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip 5 were sold as the Galaxy W24 and W24 Flip. The South Korean company has registered the model number SM-W9025, which means that the Z Fold 6 Ultra will be sold in China. Of course, this foldable device will probably be introduced in China not as “Z Fold 6 Ultra” and possibly as “Galaxy W25 Ultra”.
Market naming is not yet certain and has not been confirmed by Samsung. The only thing confirmed here is that the Z Fold 6 Ultra will not be limited to Korea. Maybe Samsung will also sell the Z Fold 6 Ultra in the global market with limited stocks, but it’s too early to tell. It is not strange that the brand is introducing this device in 2 countries due to costs, it is completely normal. The new Z Fold6 is rumored to be much more expensive than the previous Z Fold 5. Therefore, we expect the Z Fold 6 Ultra to be unveiled in only 2 countries. The new “Ultra” foldable device is scheduled to be introduced in 2025 along with the Galaxy Tab S10 and S25 series.
HMD seems to be gearing up to launch several new devices. Last week, separate reports revealed that HMD Skyline and HMD Atlas are in the works. Now, a new leak from tipster HMD_MEME’S suggests another device called the HMD Ridge Pro is also in development at the company.
The tipster shared a render of the phone, which features a plain back with three camera rings and an LED light. In terms of specs, the Ridge Pro is said to have a 6.64-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of brightness.
According to the leaks, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, a budget-oriented chipset from Qualcomm. It will come with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage via microSD.
The Ridge Pro’s camera system is rumored to include a triple-sensor rear setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is also expected to be a 50MP sensor.
Additionally, the tipster suggests the phone will have a large 5,500mAh battery, support for 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will also have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, adding to its durability. The device will reportedly run on Android 14 and is expected to come in three colors: Mocha, Snow, and Glacier Green.
It’s important to note that these details are based on leaks, and the source, HMD_MEME’S, is relatively new. So it’s wise to take these details with a pinch of salt. We’ll need to wait for an official announcement from the HMD itself to confirm all the specifics about the phone.

Following the April release of the mid-range Nord CE 4, OnePlus is preparing to launch another Nord-branded phone. A teaser page has gone live on Amazon India revealing that a new “all-day entertainment companion” will be revealed on June 18 at 7 PM Indian time.
Although the teaser doesn’t explicitly name the phone, the page title and image file name confirm it’s the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. The company hasn’t shared much about the phone, but rumors suggest it will be a rebranded version of the Oppo K12x, launched in China back in March.
If this is accurate, we can expect a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate—a significant upgrade over its predecessor’s LCD screen. The new model may also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Regarding performance, the Oppo K12x debuted with the Snapdragon 695 chipset, but rumors suggest it might be replaced with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor. However, don’t expect a major performance boost, as both chipsets share similar core architecture. The SoC will likely be paired with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
For the camera setup, the device is expected to have a dual-lens system on the back with a 50MP and a 2MP sensor. The front could feature a 16MP selfie camera. The battery is expected to have a capacity of 5,500mAh, with support for 80W fast charging.

The early versions of Android 15 are already out, giving us a sneak peek at the exciting features and enhancements coming to our devices. However, it’s only the stable build that promises to unleash the full force of the next Android version.
Google follows a three-step strategy for the Android OS release, and that applies to Android 15 as well. First, we have developer preview builds, followed by more public beta releases, and finally, the stable build is out for the public.
Google has already released the Android 15 timeline, and it’s very similar to Android 13 and Android 14. Let’s dig deeper through the official timeline to know when the stable build is coming out for the public.
Android 15 Release Timeline
The first phase, developer preview, began on February 16, 2024, when we had the first official look at Android 15. The second build arrived next month, revealing more details about the new OS.
These developer preview builds are intended for developers, as they might be highly unstable and contain many non-working features.
After two developer builds, Google announced the first beta release in April, allowing anyone to try out the new features and changes before the official release. Multiple beta builds are already out, with the latest one being Beta 2.2, which went live on June 3.
According to the official timeline, we will have Android 15 Beta 3 this month and Beta 4 near July-August. There will be a few incremental beta releases in between. By the time Beta 4 is out, the new OS gets closer to its final testing for the official release.
Here’s a quick look at the important dates:
Android 15 DP1 — February 16, 2024
Android 15 DP2 — March 21, 2024
Android 15 Beta 1 — April 11, 2024
Android 15 Beta 1.1 — April 22, 2024
Android 15 Beta 1.2 — April 25, 2024
Android 15 Beta 2 — May 15, 2024
Android 15 Beta 2.1 — May 20, 2024
Android 15 Beta 2.2 — June 3, 2024
Google doesn’t reveal the month for the stable release of its upcoming OS. However, Android 15 is likely to follow last year’s pattern, as reports believe that it could be released alongside the Pixel 9 series in October.
So, we’re still a few months away from the official release. However, smartphone brands, including OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and Realme, are giving access to Android 15 beta on select devices. We already have a detailed guide on how to install Android 15 beta on Android phones. Check it out if you want to get an early taste of the upcoming OS.
Google Pixels are generally the first ones to receive the latest Android OS update. In fact, they receive the update as soon as the stable build is announced.
Other smartphone brands, such as Realme, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus, take additional time to polish their custom skins to work smoothly with the latest OS. It can take a few days to weeks. Most of them are already offering Android 15 beta to select devices. However, the stable build is likely to start rolling out around November.
As always, newer flagship phones will be the first to receive the latest OS, followed by mid-range and budget devices.
Android 15 Features
1. App Archiving: It lets you unarchive apps to save storage while keeping the user data around. So far, this feature has been limited to apps installed from the Play Store, but Android 15 integrates this feature at the OS level, allowing archiving/restoring of any apps, even those installed outside of the Play Store.
2. Improved Health Connect: The new OS includes new data types across fitness, nutrition, and more. Beta 2 brings skin temperature and training plans as additional data types.
3. Private Space: It protects your sensitive files and apps with an additional layer of security. This is similar to the Secure Folder on Samsung phones. This new feature creates a separate space hidden from the regular space.
4. Partial Screen Sharing: Another useful feature in Android 15, which lets you share or record a single app rather than the entire screen.
5. Notification Cooldown: This new feature prevents users from getting overwhelmed by successive notifications from the same app by lowering the volume.
6. App Pairs: Android 15 will allow users to save their favourite split-screen combination for quicker access. A shortcut will be created on the home screen to instantly open both apps in the split-screen mode.
The battery capacity of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 has been leaked, revealing a “same same, but different” scenario compared to its predecessor. According to a report by Galaxy Club, the S25 will retain the same 4,000mAh battery as the Galaxy S24.
The Galaxy S20 and S21 also featured 4,000mAh batteries, but the S22 saw a concerning dip to 3,700mAh. The S23 partially addressed this by bringing the capacity back up to 3,900mAh, and the S24 finally returned to 4,000mAh. Now, it seems the S25 will hold steady at that level.
While a 4,000mAh battery is decent, it’s important to consider the increasing demand placed on smartphone batteries. Processors are becoming more powerful, displays are getting brighter, and features like high refresh rates contribute to higher power consumption.
The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip is said to have high power demands, with performance reportedly clocking at over 4GHz. Samsung will use an exclusive “Made for Galaxy” version of this chip in their upcoming S-series phone, which will have even higher clock speeds and require more power.
So a 4,000mAh battery might struggle to provide enough power to run the chip at its best. Conversely, there are rumors that Chinese brands are opting for bigger 6,000mAh batteries in their Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered flagships.
The latest detail of the Galaxy S25’s battery aligns with a previous report suggesting no improvements in battery capacity but suggested that the phone might have better battery life thanks to AI.
The phone will reportedly have an AI-powered battery-saving mode that will eliminate unnecessary background processes that drain system resources to increase battery life.
It’s important to remember that these are just leaks, and Samsung’s final specifications could differ. However, more and more leaks are now suggesting there will be no change in battery capacity.
Infinix is known as a brand that attracts attention with its price-performance products in the technology world. As part of its strategy to expand its product range, the company has started developing its first tablet. We have spotted Infinix’s first tablet with the name “Infinix XPAD” in our database.
Infinix XPAD is coming soon
Infinix is gaining popularity in the smartphone market with its affordable and high-performance devices. The company aims to continue the same success in the tablet market. Infinix is preparing to introduce a tablet with the name “Infinix XPAD”. The model number will be “X1101B“. We do not know the technical details of the product yet.
Infinix XPAD
Infinix’s first tablet will probably have mid-range specs, we don’t expect this device to have the features available on flagships. This is in line with Infinix’s current strategy of offering high performance at an affordable price. It is also that the tablet will have SIM Card support. The tablet’s SIM card support allows users to access the internet via mobile data without the need for Wi-Fi network. This could significantly increase the usability of the tablet.
This step by Infinix shows that the brand is not only limited to smartphones but is also starting to have a presence in different technological product segments. The pricing strategy of the tablet and which user base it will appeal to are not yet clear. With the official announcement, it will be possible to get more detailed information about the technical specifications and price of the Infinix XPAD.
Honor has just unveiled the Magic V Flip in China as its first ever clamshell folding smartphone. But how does it compare to one of the most popular flip phones in the market, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5? So let’s have a look at this battle of the flip phones.
Honor Magic V Flip (L) vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 (R)
1. Honor Magic V Flip vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5: Honor with taller screens
The Magic V Flip is Honor’s first attempt at a clamshell folding design, but despite that, it offers a notable advantage in screen space. Both its primary and cover screen are taller than the one offered on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The Chinese brand’s Magic V Flip has a tall 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display that offers an FHD+ Resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 21:9 aspect ratio, HDR, 3000 nits of peak brightness, and Dolby Vision. Meanwhile, its external panel is a 4-inch LTPO OLED panel with 1200 x 1092 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, Dolby Vision, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a 6.7-inch Dynamic 2X AMOLED main display with HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and 1,750 nits of peak brightness. Its cover panel is a smaller 3.4-inch Super AMOLED that has a 720 x 748 resolution. This means that the Honor device has a brighter display, and its cover screen is more practical thanks to its larger size.
2. Samsung takes the lead in performance
The South Korean swings back in round 2 with an edge on performance. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is a flagship-grade processor from last year. Meanwhile, the Honor Magic V Flip unfortunately comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which dropped back in 2022. In everyday use, both chipsets are more than enough to handle most tasks. Even in performance hungry processes, both models are capable but the newer chip is still more advanced.
3. Camera
Honor’s latest flip phone and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 offer a similar number of cameras. Two at the back, and one at the front. But there are plenty of differences. The Magic V Flip features a 50-megapixel primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1/1.56″ size, and OIS support (Optical Image Stabilization). This is paired with a 12-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. For selfies and video calls, you get a 50-megapixel shooter.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 also comes with a dual camera setup but with two 12-megapixel sensors. The main camera offers an f/1.8 aperture, 1/1.76″ sensor size, 1.8µm pixel size, and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), which is paired with a 12-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. It has a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the front. On paper, it may seem like Honor is better for photography, but camera resolution alone doesn’t mean a better camera performance. Software algorithms also play a big role. But hopefully, Samsung does update its camera setup on the next-gen Galaxy Z Flip 6.
4. Pricing & Verdict
The Honor Magic V Flip has officially launched in China for a starting price tag of around 690 US dollars for the base 8GB + 256GB option. This is quite a bit cheaper than the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which was first announced for 999 US dollars. So with an over 200 US Dollar price gap, Honor is an impressive deal. Samsung is rumored to be making the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 even more expensive so the Magic V Flip is definitely a better deal for those that can’t shell out 1000 dollars for a phone.
