Tecno Camon 40 has been officially announced on March 3, 2025.
The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth visual experience and an impressive 89.8% screen-to-body ratio. With a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels (~393 ppi density) and an always-on display, it delivers vibrant and sharp visuals.
Running on Android 15 with HIOS 15, it is powered by the Mediatek Helio G100 Ultimate (6 nm) chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU (2×2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for efficient performance. The phone comes in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB, both paired with 8GB RAM.
For photography, the dual rear camera setup includes a 50 MP wide lens (f/1.9, 23mm, PDAF, OIS) and an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, supported by dual-LED flash, HDR, and panorama. The 32 MP front camera ensures high-quality selfies. Audio is enhanced with dual speakers, while connectivity features include GPS, NFC, an infrared port, FM radio, and USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support.
Security is provided by an under-display fingerprint sensor along with multiple sensors. Tecno Camon 40 houses a 5200 mAh battery with 45W wired charging. Available in Emerald Lake Green, Galaxy Black, Glacier White, and Emerald Glow Green.
