Thuraya One has been officially announced in January 2025.
The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display (1080 x 2400 pixels, 90Hz, 700 nits brightness) with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is IP67 dust and water-resistant (up to 1m for 30 min) and weighs 230g. Built with a Gorilla Glass 5 front, plastic back, and plastic frame.
Powered by Android 14, Thuraya One runs on a Qualcomm QCM4490 (4nm) chipset with an octa-core CPU (2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) and Adreno 613 GPU. It offers 128GB storage with 6GB RAM (UMCP) and supports microSDXC (shared SIM slot). The triple-camera setup includes 50MP (wide, PDAF), 8MP (ultrawide), and 2MP (macro).
The 16MP selfie camera supports 1080p@30fps video recording. Additional features include LED flash, HDR, and panorama mode. It has stereo speakers but no 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and USB Type-C 3.1. The device lacks NFC and FM radio. The 3500mAh Li-Po battery supports 18W wired charging. Sensors include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and gyro.
