The Vivo V5 Plus was launched on January 19 2017 and later released in the same month to countries such as India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.
On April 4 2017, Vivo unveiled a limited edition variant of the smartphone to India in a matt black finish.
Since September 7 2017, the V5 Plus has been superseded by the Vivo V7 Plus.
The V5 Plus is a upper-mid-tier smartphone sporting a Snapdragon 625 paired with 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The 5.5 inch FHD IPS display is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is housed in a metal uni-body, coated in soft gold paint.
The smartphone features a 16-megapixel (f/2.0) sensor, capable of recording 4K video at 30 frames-per-second. The Vivo V5 Plus’ main feature is the front-facing dual-camera setup; sporting a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens and 8-megapixel (f/2.0) sensor.
