<p>The Asus ROG Phone 7 series will be globally launched on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/23/asus-rog-phone-7-global-launch-date-revealed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">April 13</a>, and specifications along with images of the ROG Phone 7 Pro have already been leaked online. Recently, tipster Evan Blass shared a render of both the vanilla ROG Phone 7 and the Pro models.</p>

<p>Starting with the vanilla model, the renders reveal that the phone will have a similar design to its predecessor with curved sides and a curved back. The back will feature three cameras and an LED flash, while the right side is shown to feature a volume rocker and a power button. The Pro model will come with the same design, however, it will have an additional display on the back displaying the Republic of Gamers logo.</p>

<h2>Asus ROG Phone 7 specs (rumored)</h2>

<p>The ASUS ROG Phone 7 is expected to come with a massive 6.78-inch E4 AMOLED display featuring a 165Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, with an under-display fingerprint scanner. It&#8217;s anticipated to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/13/asus-rog-phone-7-geekbench/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Geekbench</a> listing shows a 16 GB RAM variant.</p>

<p>The device will likely operate on Android 13 OS and ROG UI, with a 32-megapixel front camera and a rear camera featuring a 50-megapixel primary lens, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel camera. The phone will pack a 6000mAh battery with 65W fast charging and will have an IP54-rated waterproof and dustproof chassis weighing under 240 grams.</p>

<p>Rumors suggest the base model of the ROG Phone 7 will cost around $580 and will be launched on April 13 in various markets like the US, China, Taiwan, and India. Leaked images of the device suggest it will have a similar design to the previous model with a white-colored rear panel and dot-matrix lighting cutout. The phone will also have dual speakers, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and power and volume buttons on the right edge.</p>

<p>The ROG Phone 7 Pro from <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/asus">Asus</a> is near with an official launch event scheduled <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/23/asus-rog-phone-7-global-launch-date-revealed/">for April 13</a>. As the latest gaming phone from the company, it will bring some serious hardware specs, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 165Hz AMOLED display, and more. However, it seems there will not be many cosmetic changes on the device as some leaked renders show it with a design similar to last year’s ROG Phone 6 Pro. Here are the details.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro-1024x576.webp?x10805" alt="Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro" class="wp-image-527782" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro-747x420.webp 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Asus-ROG-Phone-7-Pro.webp 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Asus has gradually simplified the design of its Republic of Gamers (ROG) phones, as seen with the ROG Phone 6 series. While the initial ROG Phone 3 and ROG Phone 4 models had a stealthier design, the later generations have been aesthetically toned down. This trend continues with the ROG Phone 7 Pro, which features a design that is almost identical to its predecessor.</p>

<p>Some high-resolution renders of the smartphone, shared by tipster Evan Blass, show it with a triple rear camera setup, with text that reads 8K. There is also a secondary display on the rear that can be configured to react to certain events, like receiving a call, starting a game, or charging.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="753" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-1024x753.jpg?x10805" alt="ROG Phone 7 Pro Front" class="wp-image-527785" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-1024x753.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-300x221.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-768x564.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-1536x1129.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-696x512.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-1068x785.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-1920x1411.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-571x420.jpg 571w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/ROG-Phone-7-Pro-Front.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The front of the ROG Phone 7 Pro is pictured with thin bezels on the sides and relatively thicker borders on the top and bottom. There’s a front camera in the top-left corner of the display. The aero cooling module, designed to cool the smartphone during prolonged gaming sessions, remains unchanged from the previous generation gaming phone. It will activate automatically to help regulate the device&#8217;s temperature during intense gameplay.</p>

<p>The ROG Phone 7 Pro will arrive as an upgrade over its predecessor and feature a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It will run Android 13 out of the box and boast a 6.78” <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/29/asus-rog-phone-7-full-specifications-tipped-before-april-13-launch/">AMOLED display</a> with a 165Hz refresh rate.</p>
