Bugatti unleashed details about their beastly new V16 engine destined for the upcoming Chiron successor at the “Automotive Future Summit” in London. This hybrid powerhouse throws out the turbochargers of the past, stretches nearly a meter long, and signifies the end of the classic W16 engine as Bugatti wraps up production of the Mistral and Bolide.

The new V16 muscles its way into a plug-in hybrid system, churning out over 1,000 horsepower by itself. But wait, there’s more! Three electric motors join the fray, two for the front wheels and one for the rear, bringing the total system output to a mind-blowing 1,800 horsepower. Bugatti boasts the car can launch from 0 to 200 km/h in a mere 5 seconds, hit 300 km/h in 10 seconds, and reach a staggering top speed of 445 km/h. For those wanting a taste of electric driving, a 24.8 kWh battery offers an 80-kilometer electric range.

Leaked spy photos suggest the interior will embrace a retro theme, drawing inspiration from the intricate design of Swiss mechanical watches. Production is expected to be extremely limited, possibly even below 300 units.

Luxury automaker Bugatti has partnered with Bytech to release its first e-scooter the Bugatti 9.0. The Bugatti 9.0 is a kick scooter with a top speed of 18.5mph (30km/h) and is foldable. The Bugatti 9.0 scooter offers a range of 22 miles (35km) and it is already on sale for between $900 and $1,200.

Bugatti is well known for its super-fast and expensive luxury cars. The French automaker is a late entrant into the two-wheeler market. Bugatti 9.0 is the culmination of Bugatti’s partnership with electronic accessories maker Bytech. The diminutive Bugatti 9.0 comes with a lightweight, shiny, and foldable design. It weighs less than 16kg and has a magnesium alloy frame.

The Bugatti 9.0 e-scooter sports a nice-looking design. Its packaging ensures you’ll get your product without any scratches or damage. There is sufficient lighting for night trips. The lighting includes the headlight, tail light, and front/rear turn signals. Deck lighting and the EB projection monogram beams at the rear. The LED display provides ride information and notifications like battery capacity and range.

The Bugatti 9.0 can be charged using its charger which is part of the accessories. The kickstand is sturdy and there is a lock that latches the handlebar when the e-scooter is folded. The 9-inch tires of the Bugatti 9.0 run without suspension in place. The e-scooter has a dual brake system consisting of a front handbrake and electronic ABS at the rear.

The Bugatti 9.0 is on sale for $1,200 via the Bugatti Scooters website. Three colors were available namely: silver, black, and Agile Bleu. Some Costco outlets still have models for $900. The silver-colored model seems to have been sold out.

Bugatti has carved a niche for itself as a carmaker with luxury and speed considerations at the heart of its design philosophy. The carmaker is working on its electric hypercar but it has announced the release of its first electric vehicle, albeit it is an electric scooter with standard specifications. The new e-scooter is the result of Bugatti’s partnership with Bytech International.

The scooter weighs just 15.8 kg and is constructed with magnesium alloy and according to Bugatti, it is aerodynamic and functional. The e-scooter has a top speed of 30 km/h, thanks to its 700W electric motor. To put this machine in its right perspective, the Bugatti Veyron has a power rating that’s 1,000 times above the new e-scooter. The scooter is made for short city commutes and it is not certainly a hyperbike, maybe that could be under development through the Bugatti-Bytech partnership.

The frame of the e-scooter is accentuated with taillights that provide an aesthetically nice view while the vehicle is in motion. Sidelights project downwards from the deck to also create a nice illumination while the vehicle cruises. It also has turn signals, while the LED screen displays an array of notifications relating to battery usage, riding mode, speed, and light status. The scooter offers a range of 35 km with its 360 Wh battery which can be recharged easily via a standard wall socket.

The EV market is drawing rapid interest from traditional carmakers and Bugatti seems to be pursuing its business model along this line, although there is no word yet on a possible release date for the e-scooter. Of course, the pricing information is also lacking for the scooter, but it is projected that the company could attempt to leverage its pedigree as a luxury carmaker in fixing the price of the e-scooter.

The impressive-looking bezel is made of scratch-resistant ceramic. The cover is forged from lightweight titanium. Up to two weeks of use could be gotten from the 445mAh capacity battery of the smartwatches. The Bugatti smartwatches also have a hi-res 390 x 390 pixel LED touchscreen within the sculpted sapphire glass housing.

As for the pricing, the three new smartwatches won’t cost as much as a Bugatti sports car but are priced as luxury watches, thanks to the premium materials used in their production. They are available for early-bird buyers for €899. A five-year warranty is available for each of the models which are believed to be in limited supply.

Bugatti is entering the home audio business with the ‘Royale’

Bugatti, the known luxury sports car maker, is entering the home audio business. The automobile manufacturer is apparently partnering up with another brand to launch “the Bugatti of home audio.”

Similar to its ultra high end sports cars, Bugatti is planning on launching premium home audio systems as well. In an announcement earlier this week, the company said that it would be collaborating with a German based audio company called Tidal. This partnership will create “the Bugatti of home audio,” with its first pair of luxury speakers being dubbed “Royale.” Any sports car enthusiast would have heard of Bugatti, and its sports cars that are one of the fastest in the entire world. But the new move to enter the home audio is a bit surprising to say the least.

The Royale speakers are large floor standing loudspeakers that house a combination of four woofer speakers, a single three way driver, and a tweeter with a diamond diaphragm. As per a CNet report, these new audio products from Bugatti are active speakers. In other words, each individual speaker has its own built in amplification. For those unaware, most audiophile speakers are passive and are driven by a separate amplifier and preamp. The Royale speakers will pair with a Bugatti branded controller, which will allow users to connect to a variety of different audio sources to the speakers.

At the moment, the company is only planning on producing 30 pairs of the Royale speakers in two special editions, namely Edition Noir and Edition Blanc, which are black and white respectively. Notably, Bugatti will offer limitless amounts of customization on the massive speakers that weigh approximately 352 pounds (roughly 160 kilograms). Unfortunately, the automobile maker has yet to disclose the speakers’ price.
