Oppo has just revealed a list of smartphones that it will be rolling out the Android 13 OS based ColorOS 13 custom skin. The company is bringing the beta and official version to a number of its existing smartphone models. So here are all the devices that will be getting the major update.

The Chinese tech giant is currently rolling out the Beta version of the ColorOS 13 build to the F21s Pro 5G, the F19s, F19, and even the A77s model. Furthermore, it also plans on bringing the beta ColorOS 13 version to the Oppo F19 Pro later this month on 14th February 2023. Apart from this it it is also currently in the process of rolling out the official build of the custom skin with the latest Android operating system for a number of its other devices.

As of right now, the major update is also being released for the Find X2, Reno8 Pro 5G, Reno8 5G, Reno7 Pro 5G, Reno7 5G, Reno6 Pro 5G, Reno6 5G, Reno5 Pro 5G, F21s Pro, F21 Pro 5G, F21 Pro, F19 Pro+, K10 5G, K10, A96, A76 and A74 5G. Similarly, the brand is even planning on bringing the new ColorOS 13 official version to the F21s Pro 5G on the 7th of February 2023. On the other hand, the Oppo F91s, F19, and A77s are set to receive the official version of ColorOS 13 on 22nd February 2023.

With the new update, Oppo aims on improving the user experience on these existing smartphone models through its customizable IO and features. It also comes with the new Aquamorphic design, Dynamic Computing Engine, Always On Display, and more.

Oppo recently revealed the ColorOS 13 December update timeline for a sizable number of devices (via ITHome). The company will release stable and beta builds of the Android 13-based software to Reno 7 SE 5G, Reno 6 series, Reno 5 series, and Oppo Pad. The OnePlus Ace Pro will also be receiving a stable update in December. Do note that the timeline is for the Chinese region. The company may announce the update plan for the global market soon.

In the latest development, the firm has commenced ColorOS 13 beta recruitment for a bunch of new devices, including the OPPO Reno 6 Pro, 6 Pro Plus, and Reno 5 Pro Plus.

As per recent announcements on the community forum, OPPO has kicked off the ColorOS 13 beta program for the OPPO Reno 6 Pro (In India), Reno 6 Pro, and Reno 6 Pro Plus (In China). Users of these smartphones can now get an early taste of the software and also help the company improve the overall experience.

In India, the company is looking for 5000 Reno 6 Pro users to test the beta software. Interested users can submit the application for the same by going to the “Software Update” section in the device settings. Tap on the settings icon and select “Apply for Beta Version.” Next, fill out the application, and you will receive the beta update on your device once your application is accepted.

However, note that since it’s a beta release, you may encounter some bugs. You can report the bugs through the ‘Feedback’ APP on the desktop or by opening the Google Dialer and typing *#800#.

If we talk about the update itself, the ColorOS 13 (review) introduces a bunch of new features and improvements. Back in August, OPPO showed off its latest custom Android skin— ColorOS 13. Shortly thereafter, the company rolled out stable builds of the software for this year’s flagship Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. In the latest development, the firm has kicked off ColorOS 13 closed beta program for the older OPPO Find X2 series in China. Let’s look at the details.

According to the announcement post, OPPO is seeking Closed Beta Testers in China who can assist the company in improving the software on the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro by testing ColorOS 13 beta builds (via ITHome). The testers will be required to communicate regularly with the brand to report issues and provide suggestions.

Users of the two special edition smartphones in the series— Find X2 League of Legends S10 Limited Edition and Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition— will also be able to apply for closed beta recruitment. OPPO will conduct the review of the applications in batches within 5 working days after the recruitment ends (noon, October 22) and the firmware will be released after the review within 3 working days.

It is worth mentioning that the beta build of the ColorOS 13 is reported to have several known issues that can significantly affect your daily usage. In addition, many common third-party apps are incompatible with the software.

Now, OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, 9R, and 9RT will receive the ColorOS 13 Beta update in China next week. Here are the details.

According to a post by ColorOS China’s official Weibo handle, the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, as well as the OnePlus 9R, and 9RT will receive the Android 13 OS-based ColorOS 13 Beta update on October 10. The post revealed the update plan for all the Oppo and OnePlus smartphones that will receive the ColorOS 13 update.

For those who don’t know, OnePlus smartphones run OPPO’s ColorOS in China. While the Global variants are equipped with OxygenOS. Although they are essentially the same, some contend that ColorOS offers a better user experience.

To recall, the ColorOS 13 update brings a slew of features and updates. It comes with an aquamorphic design and packs all the new features Google introduced in the latest version of Android. In addition, OPPO has added a few exclusive features such as a Shadow-Reflective Clock widget, an IoT device control module, media playback controls for the updated Control Center, a Meeting Assistant, and a number of multitasking improvements.

Additionally, ColorOS 13 supports Large Folders, Global Search banners, and new Home Screen widgets. Moreover, the company has updated its Always-on Display (AOD) functionality, which now allows you to control apps and access additional information without unlocking the phone.

Oppo has been running ColorOS 13 Alpha and Closed/Open Beta programs for multiple smartphones for the last few weeks. The company has now announced when it will start delivering the stable update. At the same time, it has also disclosed the list of devices that will be added to the Open Beta initiative this month.

Oppo is known for revealing its software rollout plan at the beginning of each month. Hence, the company has announced its update plan for September 2022 covering both Chinese and international markets.

The firm says that it will begin the stable rollout of ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 on September 16. Interestingly, it will start first in global markets, followed by in China on September 23.

Unsurprisingly, Oppo Find X5 Pro and Oppo Find X5 will be the first phones to receive the ColorOS 13 stable update, followed by OnePlus 10 Pro.

Further, talking about ColorOS 13 Open Beta program, 9 more devices will be added to the initiative throughout this month.  Six of them will be joining on the same day as the commencement of the stable rollout.
