As per the latest Google announcement, the company will host its annual developer conference on May 10th at Mountain View California’s Shoreline Amphitheater. The conference will have a limited in-person audience and will be live-streamed for free to viewers worldwide. Registration for the event is free and is now open. By registering, attendees will receive updates on the conference’s schedule and content, along with relevant developer news via email. Registrants can also create a developer profile to tailor the digital experience by saving and viewing content that is relevant to them.

While the keynotes will be available to view live or on-demand, sessions will be available on-demand only. Those who don’t register can still watch the keynotes and sessions, but they might potentially miss out on receiving updates and tailored recommendations based on their interests.

In previous years, tickets for Google I/O were sold to anyone who could afford them, and attendees were given valuable gifts. However, for I/O 2023, only those who register for the event will be able to enjoy the digital experience.

At the upcoming event, Google might release a preview of Android 14. By May, the beta version of Android 14 should be available to Pixel users. Additionally, we may hear more about upcoming devices like the mid-range Pixel 7a, which is rumoured to have a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 64MP Sony IMX787 image sensor behind the primary camera, and an ultra-wide camera driven by the 13MP Sony IMX712 sensor. The device will also come equipped with the Google Tensor 2 SoC as per reports. Additionally, Google could also reveal more about the Pixel Fold, the Pixel Tablet, and the Pixel 8 series. Pixel smartphone users will be hoping for more information regarding the next Pixel Feature Drop for the month of March, that’s for sure.

Apple has announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2020 will start on 22nd June and all the sessions, including its software-focused keynote will be held online virtually.

The later than usual date and the company’s decision to take the event online is the result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The coronavirus outbreak has resulted in cancellation or virtualisation of several events, including MWC 2020, Google I/O 2020, GDC, and more.

Making the announcement, Phil Schiller, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Apple said in a statement: “WWDC20 will be our biggest yet, bringing together our global developer community of more than 23 million in an unprecedented way for a week in June to learn about the future of Apple platforms.” He further added that the company is eager to share all the new tools that they’ve been working on to help developers create even more incredible apps and services.

The company has confirmed that the conference will be free to access for all the Apple developers. Further, the company will also put up videos of all the sessions along with related documentation on Apple’s website, similar to previous years.

Tech giant Google had revealed a “Collaboration of the Cosmos” puzzle earlier today. As soon as the collaborative online game to restore a fictional satellite network was completed, the constellation of satellites spelled out the dates for the upcoming Google I/O.

With this, the search engine giant has now confirmed that its next developer conference — Google I/O 2020, will kick-off on 12th May. The conference will be held for three days — 12th May, 13th May and 14th May.

Along with the dates, the company has also confirmed that it will be held at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California which is situated right next to the Googleplex. This marks the fifth year that the company is hosting its annual developer conference at the Shoreline Amphitheater.

With the dates for Google I/O 2020 revealed, the company will now reveal more details related to ticketing and pricing. While it has not yet revealed anything related to this, we expect that the application window to attend the conference will open next month.
