Yesterday, GSMArena shared a leaked render of the upcoming Honor Play 5 smartphone. Today, popular tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the entire specifications of the device. He claimed that the Play 5 will be launching soon in China.

The tipster revealed that the Honor Play 5 engineering prototype is equipped with a 6.53-inch OLED panel that supports a Full HD+ resolution. The device measures 7.46mm in thickness and weighs 179 grams.

The Dimensity 800U chipset is present under the hood o the Honor Play 5. The device is backed by a 3,800mAh battery that supports 66W rapid charging. The rear camera setup of the device has a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors. The other details of the smartphone are under wraps.

The leaked render that emerged yesterday revealed that its display features a waterdrop notch. The back panel of the phone has a rectangle-shaped camera module. The edges of the phone appear flat, and it features a SIM card slot on the left edge and a microphone on the top edge.

The volume buttons could be present on the right side of the Play 5. It is unclear whether the phone has a side-facing fingerprint scanner or whether it is embedded under the screen. Also, the leakster did not utter anything on the pricing of the phone. It is expected to cost higher than the recently announced Honor Play 5T Youth, which was introduced with a pricing of 1,299 Yuan (~$200). The smartphone is likely to go official by early May in China.
