DIZO Watch R relaunching in India on March 16 after software fix

In January this year, accessories manufacturer Realme Techlife unveiled the DIZO Watch R alongside the DIZO Buds Z Pro. The smartwatch was immediately listed on Flipkart and reportedly raked in a staggering 10,000 units in sales in just five minutes. The joy was soon short as the watch was discontinued after early buyers raised complaints related to the software. The watch was reported to have been plagued with vibration and battery drain issues.

The company has now pushed a new firmware update that fixes the vibration and battery drain issues. Consequently, the DIZO Watch R is now scheduled to go on sale once again from March 16, 2022. The company will be making available both the Black and Silver color variants. The wearables which will be sold exclusively on Flipkart will also receive a slight price cut and will retail for Rs. 3,599 (~$47) instead of the original Rs. 3,999 (~$52) price tag.

To refresh your memory, the DIZO Watch R features a 1.3-inch circular AMOLED screen with 550 nits brightness and a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. It also utilizes a 2.5D curved glass screen and a metal frame coupled with a slim body that is just 9.9mm. DIZO claims the watch has the biggest AMOLED display and also has the thinnest build among smartwatches in the segment.

Furthermore, the watch features support for over 110 sports modes while also bringing features such as a 5ATM waterproof build, music and camera controls,anti-fingerprint coating, and Bluetooth 5.0. The watch packs a 280mAh battery which is said to deliver up to 12 days of battery life.

You also get other health and fitness-centered features such as heart rate sensor, blood oxygen measurement, running distance and route tracking via GPS,
sleep detection, steps counting, idle alert, activity records, mensural cycle tracker, drink reminder, and breath training.

Global smartwatch and accessories manufacturer DIZO has launched a new smartwatch and TWS earbuds in India. The new products are the much anticipated Dizo Watch R and Dizo Buds Z Pro. So let’s take a look at the features, specs, and pricing of these new devices.

DIZO Watch R Features

The Watch R features a round-shaped dial with a 1.3-inch AMOLED display and 360 x 360 pixels resolution. The smartwatch is equipped with a premium metallic frame and offers 5ATM water and dust resistance. Additionally, the device also features a fancy 2.5D curved glass.

The Dizo Watch R comes with the Always-On Display (AOD) feature and more than 150 customizable watch faces. The Watch R offers up to 12 days of battery life and fully charges in about 2 hours. The Dizo Watch R offers a bunch of health and fitness features like a heart rate tracker, SpO2 tracker, 110+ sports modes, sleep monitor, and more. The Watch R also offers the usual smartwatch functionalities such as music playback control, phone camera control, check notifications and incoming calls, etc.

Dizo Watch R Price in India

The Dizo Watch R is launched for an introductory price of Rs 3,499 (~$47) in India. After which the price will be hiked to Rs 3,999 (~$54). The watch will go on sale on Flipkart on January 11 at 12PM.

Dizo Buds Z Pro Features

The Dizo Buds Z Pro comes with a 10mm dynamic driver and delivers enhanced audio output thanks to the Bass Boost+ algorithm. It offers Active Noise Cancellation (up to 25dB) and comes with a transparency mode. It also features Dual ENC in both mics for calls.

The Dizo Buds Z Pro can provide playback up to 7 hours which can be extended to 25 hours with the charging case. The earbuds can provide up to 2 hours of playback with just 10 minutes of charging. the Buds Z Pro uses Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity and feature an 88ms low latency mode. The earbuds are IPX4 certified and have touch controls on the earbuds.

The Dizo Buds Z Pro comes in two colors, namely Blue and Red, and each earbud comes with 3 ear tip sizes and weighs a mere 3.9 grams.

Dizo Buds Z Pro Price in India

The Dizo Buds Z Pro will go on sale on Flipkart on January 11 at 12PM. The earbuds will initially be available for an introductory price of Rs 2,499 (~$34) which will jump up to 2,999 (~$40) after a set period of time.

Smartwatch and accessories manufacturer DIZO has announced January 5, 2022, as the date for the India launch of its latest next-gen smartwatch – the DIZO Watch R, and the DIZO Buds Z Pro with active noise cancellation. The prices of these new products are yet to be released by DIZO but they will be available via Flipkart from January 5 – barring any last-minute changes.

The DIZO Watch R has a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with 500 nits brightness, a 2.5D curved glass screen, and a metal frame. The Watch R has a 9.9mm body which is as slim as it can get. Indeed, DIZO is touting the Watch R as the thinnest smartwatch having the biggest AMOLED screen in the segment. More than 150 watch faces are available for the DIZO Watch R.

Blood oxygen and heart rate monitoring are available 24 hours, and there are more than 100 sports modes for a variety of fitness regimens. The Watch R also comes with music and camera controls, a 5ATM waterproof body, and up to 12 days of activity on a single charge.

The DIZO Buds Z Pro is a pair of TWS earbuds with active noise cancellation (ANC). The Buds Z Pro reflects a natural light design, features 10mm, dynamic drivers, with Bass Boost+ and super-low latency. The DIZO Buds Z Pro earbuds are compatible with the realme Link companion app, and the earbuds offer up to 25 hours of playback on a full charge.

It is unclear whether the pricing details of the DIZO Watch R and Buds Z Pro will be released before or during their unveiling on January 5th. We’ll keep tabs on the two products for any further developments.
