Last month, Motorola unveiled the Edge series including the Motorola Edge 20 and Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Now, yet again, the company has released these phones but, the new versions are for enterprises. Motorola has launched the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite Business Edition versions with enhanced safety and security-related features.

The Business Editions of the phones are nothing different than the regular versions in terms of specifications. The only difference is that the Business Editions come with Lenovo’s proprietary ThinkShield technology and have some software security features. It comes with two major OS updates and three years of security updates.

Moreover, the devices have the ‘Zero Touch’ feature that allows you to control your phone remotely from a desktop PC. This can be handy when you need to switch and share files between the phone and PC simultaneously.

The Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. The smartphones come with a high refresh rate and modern aspect ratio. The Edge 20 comes with a triple rear camera system with a 108MP main lens, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and lastly a telephoto lens. It boasts a 32MP camera at the front, The Edge 20 Lite on the other hand has a 108MP main, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP depth sensor.

At the helm, the Edge 20 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The Edge 20 Lite has the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. The Edge 20 has a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, whereas, there’s a 5,000mAh battery in the Lite with a 30W fast charging system.

At the end of the previous month, Motorola silently unveiled the Edge 20 series of smartphones. According to popular tipster Mukul Sharma, the Lenovo-owned company will be announcing a pair of Edge 20 series of smartphones in August.

As it is known, the Edge 20 includes three models such as Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro, and Edge 20 Lite. While the Edge 20 smartphone is expected to launch in India with a pricing of around Rs 30,000 (~$403), it is unclear whether the second model could be the Pro or Lite handset. Hopefully, newer leaks will reveal all the relevant information of the Edge 20 lineup for the Indian market.

Motorola Edge 20 series specifications

The Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro, and Edge 20 Lite are equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The Lite model has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, whereas the Edge 20 and 20 Pro gets an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Snapdragon 778G, Snapdragon 870, and Dimensity 720 powers the Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro, and Edge 20 Lite smartphones, respectively. They are fueled by a 4,000mAh, a 4,500mAh, and a 5,000mAh battery, respectively. All three phones support 30W rapid charging. A recent report revealed that the Edge 20 Pro will be debuting as the Motorola Edge S Pro in China.

The Edge 20 series has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The Edge 20 Pro has a 108-megapixel primary snapper, a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x zoom support. The Edge 20 features an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom instead of periscope. The Lite model has a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.

The Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro are expected to go official on Aug. 5 in China. The two other Edge 20 series phones called the Edge 20 Lite and Edge 20 Fusion are also expected to debut in the coming month. Reputed tipster recently shared the leaked press renders of the Edge 20 Pro, now he is back with fresh renders of the Edge 20 lineup.

The Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20, and Edge 20 Pro smartphones can be seen from the left to the right in the above-shown image. In the images below, the Edge 20 Lite can be seen in colors like Lagoon Green and Electric Graphite, the Edge 20 can be seen in Frosted Gray and Frosted White colors, and the Edge 20 Pro in Midnight Blue and Vegan Leather Blue.

The renders of the Edge 20 Fusion have not appeared yet. As it is known, the Edge 20 will come in two different versions for North America and global markets. It is being speculated that the North American may arrive in other markets with the Edge 20 Fusion moniker.

The publication has shared an image that showcases the official marketing name of the Edge 20 series of smartphones. While it reveals the existence of the Edge 20 Fusion, there is no information available on its specifications and design.

Past reports have shown that Edge 20 has two variants, one for North America and the other one for the global markets. While they are powered by the Snapdragon 778G, both phones have different specifications. Hence, there is a possibility that the North American could be coming to the global market as the Edge 20 Fusion.

After taking a sabbatical for a couple of years, Motorola returned to the flagship market by launching the Motorola Edge+ smartphone. The company also announced the upper mid-range Motorola Edge handset. Earlier this year, it announced the Motorola Edge S in China, which arrived in global markets as the Moto G100. Recent reports have revealed that the company is working on new Edge series of smartphones. Last week, reputed tipster Evan Blass shared the key specifications of the upcoming Edge 20 models. A fresh tweet by the leaker has revealed the names of three Edge 20 series of smartphones.

Past leaks have revealed that the new Edge models are codenamed as Berlin/Berlin NA, Kyoto, and Pstar (aka. Sierra). It is now revealed by Blass that these phones will be releasing in the market as Edge 20, Edge 20 Lite, and Edge 20 Pro. These phones are expected to debut by the end of this month.

The Edge 20 will have a global variant (codenamed as Berlin) and a Verizon-bound edition for North American (codenamed as Berlin NA) markets. As can be seen in the image below, both phones are driven by the Snapdragon 778G. The Edge 20 global edition has downgraded display and battery, but better cameras as compared to its North American edition.

The Edge 20 Lite is a midrange phone driven by the Dimensity 720 chip, and it will be the most affordable phone in the Edge 20 family. This phone will have a global edition, and a variant heading to India.

The Edge 20 Pro that appears to the successor for the Edge+ from last year will be heading to multiple markets such as Asia, Europe, Australia, Latin America, China, and India. While it seems to be a flagship phone, it features the Snapdragon 870 chip, and not the more powerful Snapdragon 888 SoC. The variant heading to China will have a downgraded front camera as compared to its variant releasing in other markets.
