Motorola will be holding an unveiling event in China on Aug. 5. Last week, the company announced the Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro, and Edge 20 Lite smartphones in the global markets. The vanilla and Pro models are expected to go official later this week in China. Recent teasers by Motorola’s China division suggest that the Edge 20 Pro may debut in the Chinese market with the “Motorola Edge S Pro” moniker.

Shown above is one of the recently released promotional videos by Motorola China. It showcases the “Ready For” functionality of the Edge S Pro, which allows users to connect it to a larger display wirelessly. Earlier this year, Motorola announced the Snapdragon 870 SoC-powered Motorola Edge S phone in China, which was made available in global markets as the Motorola Moto G100. The Edge S Pro is expected to arrive as an upgraded version of the original Edge S as the name goes.

The Edge S Pro is expected to arrive with a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ display with a punch-hole design. The Snapdragon 870 is present under the hood of the device. It is likely to arrive in China with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
