<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to the chart released by Omdia, the iPhone 11 was the most shipped smartphone in 2020 with 64.8 million units in shipments and $754 ASP (Average Selling Price). For those unaware, this handset’s predecessor (iPhone XR) topped the list in 2019 but the units were less at 46.3 million and the ASP was a bit more at $777.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Further, the second, third, seventh, and tenth positions were also occupied by </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Apple/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Apple</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> with the 2020 iPhone SE (24.2 million), iPhone 12 (23.3 million), iPhone 12 Pro Max (16.8 million), and iPhone 12 Mini (14.8 million). The ASP of these models were $451, $896, $1,232, and $796 respectively.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interestingly, the iPhone 12 Mini shipped more than the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-12-pro/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">iPhone 12 Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> although </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/10/apple-iphone-12-mini-sales-decline-low-appeal-small-devices/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">numerous reports</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> stated poor sales. The latter phone is not even included in Omdia’a top 10 chart.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Further, with Apple sitting in five places, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Samsung/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Samsung</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> captured four positions. The South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy A51 ($269), Galaxy A21s ($192), Galaxy A01 ($115), and Galaxy A11 ($158) came fourth, fifth, sixth, and eighth respectively. The shipments of these devices stood at 23.2 million, 19.4 million, 16.9 million, and 15.3 million units.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lastly, the Redmi Note 9 Pro by </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> was in ninth place with 15 million units in shipments and $161 ASP.</span></p>

Surprisingly, a new Umidigi S5 Pro unboxing appears revealing its better performance, improved design, and vibrant display than the Samsung Galaxy A51. Similarly, Umidigi&#8217;s entry-level smartphone Umidigi A7 will rival the galaxy A11 in head to head comparison.</p>

<p>Umidigi S5 Pro <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/06/umidigi-s5-pro-goes-official-as-affordable-flagship-king-with-helio-g90t-soc-and-6-39-inch-amoled-display/">was announced a few days ago</a> and is slated to go live on May 26th at Umidigi Fan Festival 2020. It is the affordable yet powerful smartphone and competes against devices such as Galaxy A51. Before discussing the specifications of the smartphones, first, let&#8217;s see the video of S5 Pro unboxing.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ksFp2w8r4KM?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<h6 style="text-align: center"><strong>Must See: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/04/09/umidigi-s5-pro-launch-official-giveaway/">Umidigi S5 Pro goes official with a Giveaway</a></strong></h6>
<h3><strong>Umidigi S5 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy A51</strong></h3>
<p>Both the Umidigi S5 Pro and<a href="//www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-a51/"> Samsung Galaxy A51</a> are affordable devices offering brilliant specifications. However, there are some differences between both the smartphones where Umidigi S5 Pro overtakes the Korean giant&#8217;s mid-range smartphone.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-323532" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-1024x540.jpg?x10805" alt="S5 Pro-1" width="696" height="367" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-1024x540.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-768x405.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-696x367.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-1068x563.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-797x420.jpg 797w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-1-1920x1012.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<h4><strong>Design</strong></h4>
<p>As seen in the video, the Umidigi S5 Pro comes with a beautiful design, 4-sided 3D curved glass back for comfortable handling, and shining texture. It is much better than the plastic back of the Galaxy A51.</p>
<h4><strong>Display</strong></h4>
<p>Unlike the galaxy A51&#8217;s punch-hole display which bares the display view, the Umidigi features a full-view display. Thanks to the pop-up selfie camera module which comes handle to bring better viewing experience and even enhances the security. It&#8217;s quite a positive trade that the Umidigi S5 Pro possesses.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-323527" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-1024x540.jpg?x10805" alt="umidigi s5 pro" width="696" height="367" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-1024x540.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-768x405.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-696x367.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-1068x563.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-797x420.jpg 797w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/S5-Pro-4-1920x1012.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<h4><strong>Performance</strong></h4>
<p>The smartphone from Umidigi also fares well in the performance category. Umidigi S5 Pro uses MediaTek Helio G90T chipset coupled with an octa-core processor and scored 290L points on ANTuTU. However, the Korean giant&#8217;s mid-ranger with Exynos 9611 ended at 175K AnTuTu score.</p>
<p>Being  a$100 cheaper, the Umidgi is a sole winner as it also offers betterRAM as the A51 comes in 4GB RAM, where the S5 Pro houses a 6GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. It even houses a bugger 4680 mAh battery supporting a faster-charging technology.</p>

The handset is rumored to flaunt a triple-camera rear setup, although, the post on the publication could not confirm its presence due to a lack of physical sensors. If true, this would be a major update for the Galaxy A11, which hopes to compete with feature-rich smartphones from Realme and Xiaomi in the segment.</span></p>

The company shifted focus from launching only upper mid-range models on the A-series to churning out a rich blend of entry-level, lower mid-range and premium mid-range models on the series. The trend will definitely continue this year as the tech giant has already secured trademarks for the A-series models such as the Galaxy A11, A12, A13 etc.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-2.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-302046" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-2.png?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy A11" width="712" height="456" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-2.png 712w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-2-300x192.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-2-696x446.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-2-656x420.png 656w" sizes="(max-width: 712px) 100vw, 712px" /></a></p>
<p>Talking of the Galaxy A11, the device has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The certificate which has been listed on FCC&#8217;s website gives us some insight into the hardware in respect of the battery and camera configuration. This is coming just days after the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/01/17/samsung-galaxy-a31-and-galaxy-a41-battery-and-camera-specs-outed/">Galaxy A31 and A41</a> camera and battery specs were leaked.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/17/xiaomi-aqara-smart-home-products-amazon-us-pricing-availability">Xiaomi’s Aqara officially unveils its range of smart home products in the US</a></strong></h6>
<p>In this case, the Samsung Galaxy A11 which is expected to be the cheapest A-series model this year features a 4,000mAh battery. This is similar to what is on the Galaxy A10 but with software improvements and a better chipset, we may see better durability. The device is also listed to pack a triple camera setup as against a single sensor on the A10. The A11&#8217;s camera configuration wasn&#8217;t listed.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-302045" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11.png?x10805" alt="" width="640" height="530" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11.png 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-300x248.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/galaxy-a11-507x420.png 507w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>The Galaxy A11 which appears with the model number SM-A115F will be powered by the Snapdragon 625/626 chipset, which is more efficient than the A10’s Exynos 7884 as it doesn’t have any high-performance cores. The FCC document also shows the presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Some of the other specs, which were revealed in previous leaks and rumours, include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and Android 10 with One UI 2.0 out of the box. The Galaxy A11 will be available in white, red, blue, and black.</p>
<p>There is word yet as to when Samsung will announce the device, but it is expected to go official with this one in March, exactly one year after the Galaxy A10 was unveiled.</p>

<p>The base model of most of the Galaxy A-series arriving next year will have an internal storage of 64 GB. These new A-line smartphones are expected to offer up to 128 GB of native storage. Recent reports have revealed that the South Korean company is working on other A-series phones such as Galaxy A51, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/21/samsung-galaxy-a71-with-punch-hole-display-3d-renders-leak/">Galaxy A71</a> and Galaxy A81. <p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-245689" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Galaxy-A-series.png?x10805" alt="New Galaxy A series" width="720" height="420" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Galaxy-A-series.png 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Galaxy-A-series-300x175.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Galaxy-A-series-696x406.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
<p>The new Galaxy A series already has several members starting from the entry-level Galaxy A10 to the mid-range <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a40/">Galaxy A40</a> and to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a80/">Galaxy A80</a> which currently sits at the top. Samsung is planning to release more models such as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/10/galaxy-a90-geekbench-result-confirms-snapdragon-855-inside/">Snapdragon 855-powered Galaxy A90</a> and the budget Galaxy A10s.</p>
<p>According to the latest reports, the Korean smartphone company has already registered the names for next year&#8217;s models at the European Union Intellectual Property Office.</p>
<p>The document shows Samsung has registered the following names for 2020&#8217;s Galaxy A series:</p>
<ul>
<li>Galaxy A11</li>
<li>Galaxy A21</li>
<li>Galaxy A31</li>
<li>Galaxy A41</li>
<li>Galaxy A51</li>
<li>Galaxy A61</li>
<li>Galaxy A71</li>
<li>Galaxy A81</li>
<li>Galaxy A91</li>
</ul>
<p>We are not sure if these are all the Galaxy A phones that will launch next year, but knowing Samsung we are pretty sure there will be more with “e” and “s” suffixes.</p>
<p>We also believe some of these phones will launch under the Galaxy M line in some other markets. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a40s/">Galaxy A40s</a>, for example, is sold as the Galaxy M30 in markets outside China. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a60/">Galaxy A60</a> sold in China is also the same device sold as the Galaxy M40 in India.</p>
