HAYLOU has launched the Flowbuds N55, a new pair of true wireless earbuds built for everyday use. The focus is on stable performance, simple controls, and long battery life instead of adding unnecessary features.

The Flowbuds N55 comes with real-time adaptive active noise cancellation that can reduce ambient noise by up to 54dB under optimal conditions. The system automatically adjusts based on the surroundings, whether it is traffic, public transport, or crowded indoor spaces. There is no need to switch modes manually. The earbuds respond as the environment changes, helping reduce distractions while keeping the experience simple.

For sound, the earbuds use a 12.4mm titanium-coated dynamic driver. They are certified for Hi-Res Audio and support LDAC. The tuning focuses on balanced clarity, controlled bass, and clear detail. Vocals remain sharp, bass does not overpower, and finer details stay intact. Haylour is a Chinese accessory brand. The company is primarily known for its affordable lineup of smartwatches. It was once part of the Xiaomi ecosystem.

Some of its products are sold under a different brand. For instance, the OnePlus Nord Watch (review) is a rebranded Haylou RS4 Plus.

The company has recently released a new wearable in China. The device officially goes by Haylou Watch R8. Let’s check out everything it has to offer.

Haylou Watch R8 Specifications

The Haylou Watch R8 features a classic design. It sports a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display, which is surrounded by a metal bezel.

The screen offers a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, 376 PPI, and a 60Hz refresh rate. It supports multiple watch faces and AOD (Always-on Display) functionality.

The wearable is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. Thus, it can be worn in all kinds of weather. It uses a 22mm strap and weighs 85g.

The smartwatch comes with more than 100 sports modes. It can be used for heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen level tracking, stress monitoring, and more.

The watch connects with devices running Android 6.0 / iOS 9.0 or higher via Bluetooth 5.3 and a companion app. Interestingly, it comes with NFC for contactless payments and supports Baidu Maps navigation.

The smartwatch is backed by a 300mAh battery and charges wirelessly. The brand claims up to 7 days of battery life with mixed usage and up to 20 days in basic mode.

The Haylou Watch R8 is priced at ¥269 (~$40) in China. It is up for sale in its home country via JD and other retailers.

The company is yet to announce the product for global markets. If and when that happens, the wearable should be available on the brand’s global website and third-party retailers.

Xiaomi‘s ecological chain partner Haylou has launched its latest smartphone for the global market. The watch dubbed Haylou RS4 Plus comes with some health and fitness tracking features including SpO2, heart rate, blood pressure monitoring, and a thermometer. It also has gravity and pedometer sensors, multiple sports modes, and several functions embedded.

The Haylou RS4 Plus smartwatch was launched on March 26 and is already available in several online retail outlets including Aliexpress. You can use the Haylou RS4 Plus to monitor and manage your health status in real-time. The smartwatch is suited for both male and female use and it has an IP68 waterproof rating. Some other functions present in the Haylou RS4 are distance measurement, step counting, calorie consumption, and sleep monitoring. Other features are an intelligent alarm clock, female health monitoring, and camera control.

There are more than 100 different sports modes in the Haylou RS4 including running, badminton, basketball, cycling, skipping, and football. The 1.78-inch AMOLED display offers a clear view with some pretty bright colors. The 230mAh battery of the smartwatch offers up to 10 days of use on a single charge and 40 days of standby. Haylou RT (LS05S) Design

The Haylou RT retains the same round 1.28-inch TFT color screen as the Haylou Solar with 240 x 240 resolution. The Haylou RT has a slightly rugged finish, especially with the two massive buttons on its right side. The older Haylou Solar had one simple, non-intrusive button. Xiaomi backed Haylou is generally famous for its Smartwatches. Accordingly, the company has a wide variety of models. In fact, some of the brand’s interesting portfolio includes LS05 Solar, Smartwatch 2, and more. However, the company also launches Truly Wireless Earbuds(TWS) every now and then. It recently announced the Haylou T16 TWS with ANC for just 279 yuan($42). Now, a Haylou Wireless earbuds has appeared on FCC suggesting an imminent launch.

Dongguan Xingji Electronics Co., Ltd has applied for equipment in America’s FCC(Federal Communications Commission). Accordingly, the product code BC-T05. It is classified as a Digital Transmission System and is noted as Haylou Wireless Earbuds. Further, the description on FCC says the operating frequency range is 2402MHz-2480MHz.

All this confirms that the product is indeed a Truly Wireless Earbud from the company. Talking about the design, the images uploaded on the FCC website shows that the charging case design shows similarities with Haylou T16 TWS. As you can see below, the case is a rounded rectangle. It has the Haylou Logo, along with the brand name on top. At the rear, you get a Type-C charging port.

Although the images don’t show how the case looks from the inside, the earbuds are shown to have a unique design. Precisely, the stems of the earbuds are shorter than the ones on its Haylou T19. And they also have the charging contact points halfway through the stem and not at the bottom top. If you ask me, it looks like it has got cues from Apple’s AirPods Pro but with certain tweaks.

That said the case is slightly different from the ubiquitous design found on many TWS of Apple, Xiaomi, and more. In any case, the earbud looks refreshing compared to the bulkier ones on the T16, and even the earlier models like the Haylou GT1 Pro. However, we aren’t sure if this will carry over features like ANC, big battery from T16 considering its size and the mic placement. At least from the images, it seems to have only one microphone on the inside.

Anyway, the listing doesn’t reveal anything apart from the design. Also, we aren’t sure if this would debut under the T lineup or the GT lineup. Hence, let’s wait for a bit to know more about them.

Xiaomi-backed Haylou has a new smartwatch in the market — Haylou Smart Watch 2, which has been listed online on JD.com. It seems that the official launch announcement from the company will take place soon.

The device is listed online for a price of 129.9 yuan, which is about $19, although the regular retail price seems to be 169 yuan (~$24). It is listed to come with features like 12 different sports modes and 20 days of battery life on a single charge.

The Haylou Smart Watch 2 features a 1.4-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and uses 2.5D curved tempered glass. The display seems bigger and better than the one found on Haylou Solar Smartwatch.

It is also revealed that the smartwatch, which weighs 38 grams, has been IP68 certified, making it waterproof to prevent raindrops and sweat. Currently, it has been listed on JD.com as “Sold Out” and the sale date is not yet known.

Earlier today (4th June 2020), Xiaomi launched the Haylou LS04 Solar Smartwatch through its Youpin platform. The smartwatch features a heart rate sensor housed within a metallic body, with 30 day long standby battery life.

Looking at the Haylou LS04 Solar Smartwatch, its design follows a minimalistic philosophy. The watch dial is round and sports a 1.28 inch TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 240px. While the body of the dial is metallic, the band is made from silicon, which has been designed to be comfortable when worn for long periods of time.

The wearables have a built in heart rate sensor that monitors users’ heartbeat 24 hours. The device is powered by a lithium battery that offers up to 30 days of standby on a single full charge, up from 14 days over the older LS01 variant. Haylou (pronounced as “Hello”) is one of the first companies under Xiaomi’s ecosystem. Established in 2015, the company was originally known for its audio products including TWS earbuds. However, it wasn’t really popular until it announced its very first “smartwatch” – the Haylou LS01 – which costs just ¥99 (~$14). The Chinese company is back with another smartwatch called the Haylou Solar and this too packs some really nice features matched with an affordable price tag.

The Haylou Solar has a round dial like a regular watch and Haylou says they have adopted a minimalist design that appeals to the younger generation. The screen is a 1.28 TFT color 240 x 240 display that is sharp and bright even under direct sunlight. It is surrounded by a metal frame and attached to it are 22mm silicone breathable straps that can be comfortably worn for long.

The Haylou Solar can track a total of 12 different physical activities:

The Haylou Solar has a 30-day battery life (340mAh) but it drops by half if 24-hour heart rate monitoring is turned on. While it is called the Haylou Solar, it doesn’t charge via solar but has charging pins at the back. The watch also has an IP68 rating which means you can take it swimming or wear it in the shower.

The Haylou Solar connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and there is a dedicated app called the Haylou Fit for setting up the watch and for more detailed info on your physical activities. It works with both Android (Android 4.4+) and iOS (iOS 8.0+) devices. The watch is 264 millimeters long and weighs 54 grams.

Just like the LSO1, the Haylou Solar (LS05) is really affordable with its price tag of ¥149 (~$21). It has crossed its crowdfunding goal and will begin shipping May 18, 2020.

On top of that, the device also features an excellent 14-day battery life, and very attractive price tag of just 99.9 yuan, or $14.

The Haylou LS01 smartwatch has a square watch face that accommodates a 1.3 inch coloured LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. The smartwatch measures 40.9 x 35.7 x 11.6 mm and it weighs 34 grams. The Haylou LS01 ships with a 26.3 mm wide silicone strap which can be easily swapped and with straps that can be bought separately.

To Haylou Smart Watch is IP68 rated which makes it both dustproof and waterproof upto 1.5 metres for a maximum period of 30 minutes. It is capable of function normally with temperatures ranging as low as -20 degree C and as high as 45 degrees C. It also features a heart rate monitor sensor.

It also supports activity tracking, step counter, sleep tracking and 9 different sport modes. The Haylou Smart Watch is currently available for purchase only in China at a crowdfunding price of 99.9 Yuan ($ 14). All in all, it seems like an excellent value for money product that not only offers a wide variety of features but also looks good for its price.
