<p>On March 23, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> is set to host a mega spring event in Shanghai, China, where it will unveil a range of new flagship products. Among the devices to be launched are the premium Huawei P60 series and the highly anticipated Mate X3 foldable. Today, the brand has confirmed this year’s MatePad refresh will also be arriving on the same day. MatePad 11 (2023) has been teased to feature some interesting improvements. Here are the details.</p>

<p>As per official teasers, Huawei MatePad 11 tablet (2023) will offer a paper-like reading and writing experience. This device will also feature a smooth screen with anti-glare eye protection, marking Huawei&#8217;s first foray into this type of tablet. The tablet&#8217;s panel boasts impressive capabilities, as it can eliminate up to 97% of the distracting light in the surrounding environment.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="661" height="365" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Huawei-Matepad-11-2023.png?x96852" alt="Huawei Matepad 11 2023" class="wp-image-523079" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Huawei-Matepad-11-2023.png 661w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Huawei-Matepad-11-2023-300x166.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px" /></figure></div>

<p>Separately, TUV Rheinland has shared the device’s renders, which reveal its design. The tablet can be seen to have a single camera on the rear and a notch-less display on the front. The selfie camera is embedded vertically on the upper bezel. The MatePad 11 tablet has received the TUV Rheinland&#8217;s reflection-free certification, which means that it can shield users from the negative effects of indoor ambient light, resulting in a better overall experience.</p>

Due to the increasing demand for online classes, portable tablets are back in the spotlight. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Before the pandemic, most of us didn’t care about alternatives to the expensive Apple’s iPad series. But in 2021, we see that players like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-pad-5-pro/">Xiaomi</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> are refocusing on their tablet product lines, and new entrants like Realme are also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/02/more-renders-realme-pad-appears-online-gold-variant/">expected to bring us surprises</a>. Even Lenovo, a veteran player in the industry, returned to the battleground with their affordable Yoga tablets and Xiaoxin Pads, which we<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/15/lenovo-xiaoxin-pad-pro-2021-tablet-review-this-affordable-tablet-has-real-potential/"> reviewed a few weeks ago</a>. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405466" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 tablet Review featured 05" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-tablet-Review-featured-05.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But today we’re excited to show you another amazing model, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-matepad-11-2021/">Huawei MatePad 11</a>. In my limited experience time, I have to admit that it’s even more surprising than the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021. And more importantly, it’s almost at the same price point as the Xiaoxin Pad Pro! So what exactly does it offer at its sub-500 Euro price tag? </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let’s find out!</span></p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="HUAWEI MatePad 11 Review: One of The Best Tablets in 2021" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/uApliaRrpF0?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<h3><strong>Huawei MatePad 11: Design &amp; Display</strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Huawei’s MatePad 11 comes with a 10.95-inch screen, which is more portable than the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021. The device is as thin as 7.25 mm and weighs about 485g. It has the compact size of a magazine and can easily fit into a backpack. Even if you are carrying it for your long travels, it won’t cause any obvious discomfort.</span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405465" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review thickness" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-thickness.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 11-inch LCD display has a 2K resolution and supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, which is rare at such price point. By far we’ve only seen the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-ipad-pro-11-2021/">Apple iPad Pro</a>, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Pro, and the MatePad 11 featuring such a high refresh rate of 120Hz. But if you’ve checked the other twos’ pricing, you will finally realize how special the MatePad 11 is. Although it’s an LCD panel, the display quality looks excellent. In our internal tests, we found that it covers 98.6% of sRGB colors and 91.7% of DCI-P3 gamut. Compared to the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021, the MatePad 11 is more portable, which brings a more detailed graphics under the same resolution.    </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405464" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-stylus.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The audio is definitely a surprise on the MatePad 11. It features 4 speakers to produce stereo sound, which are tuned by Harman Kardon. It sounds much better than a smartphone, and surely better than other tablets that you can buy at this price point.</span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405453" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review harmon kardon" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmon-kardon.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And look at its appearance. The tablet’s frame is made of metal while the rear cover uses plastic. However, we can still feel the excellent build quality of the tablet. </span></p>

<h3><strong>Huawei MatePad 11: Hardware &amp; Performance</strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As for the performance, the MatePad 11 is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset, which is the best Android chipset from 2020. Even now, although it’s a bit weaker than the Snapdragon 870 used on the Xiaoxin Pad Pro, it is still one of the most powerful chipsets with excellent thermal design and good power consumption. From the results on the benchmarks we ran, we can see that the MatePad 11 has almost the same performance as the flagship smartphones in 2020. So we were really looking forward to how it performs in heavier games. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405477" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review benchmarks" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-benchmarks.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Well, in our gaming test, PUBG Mobile didn’t create any trouble for the tablet. It stably ran at the best level that we could access in the game. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, in heavier games like Genshin Impact and Nimian Legend, the tablet didn’t look like it was at its full strength yet. But thanks to the relatively conservative GPU strategy, the tablet had an excellent thermal performance, which was much better than most smartphones. Meanwhile, lower power consumption also suggested it might have good battery performance. Later we will show you more details. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In shooting games like ACE Force which can run up to 120fps, the MatePad 11 no doubt is one of the best devices to enjoy an excellent gaming experience.   </span></p>
<h3><strong>Huawei MatePad 11: HarmonyOS Software </strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And thanks to Harmony OS, the MatePad 11 offers more versatility than a traditional tablet. A tablet used to be a transitional product between a Smartphone and a notebook. However, since most tablets ran a similar software to smartphones, it just made them look like a smartphone with a bigger display. Most brands are simply thinking about how to make their tablets look and feel like a Notebook. But on the MatePad 11, Huawei no doubt was more creative with its software. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405467" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review HarmonyOS Multi-screen Collab 01" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-01.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let’s look deeper at the Harmony OS powering the MatePad 11. The optimized interface is really delightful, especially when we view all the contents through the 120Hz display. App-opening speed is also fast with super fluent animations. Some of you might worry the compatibility of the Harmony OS. Well, of course, Google apps are not available on the MatePad 11 for reasons that are well known. However, in addition to Huawei’s App Gallery, you are allowed to install other Android Apps through APK installation files. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405455" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review HarmonyOS UI" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-HarmonyOS-UI.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Harmony OS is currently the best mobile OS for multi-device collaboration. So it’s no surprise that the MatePad running Harmony OS is multi-device friendly. If you want to connect with a smartphone, users can get a real-time projection of the smartphone with one click. And amazingly, the latency is almost unperceivable. Almost all the smartphone operations are enabled on the MatePad, and you can even drag files between the two devices. This has highly improved the efficiency of data transfer and has turned the MatePad into a data processing center. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405469" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review 09" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-09.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">For example, you can use the connected smartphone to collect data, such as capturing or searching for high-quality images, or even record voices of important people speaking. And then you can organize them all on the Matepad. You can immediately drag the photo from the phone into the tablet’s Notepad, and even use its voice input feature to convert the recording to text. This way, you can easily generate a simple report or a work note. But please note that this convenient collaboration feature is only available with HUAWEI phones.</span></p>

</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you want the tablet to work with a PC, Harmony OS creatively offers three working modes for seamless cross-platform operation. First, under expansion mode, you can set the tablet as a wireless expanded screen for the PC. Or just transform the tablet into a sketchpad by copying the PC screen. Paired with the HUAWEI M-Pencil, you can draw, mark, and easily share the PC contents onto your tablet. The third mode is the Share Mode, in which the PC and the tablet run independently but share a single set of keyboard and mouse. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405454" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review harmonyos phone connect" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-harmonyos-phone-connect.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This mode truly breaks the boundaries between a PC and a tablet. You can use a single set of keyboard and mouse to control both your devices, and achieve cross-system data transfer by freely dragging and dropping files between them. Any work that has been done on one device can be easily dragged to the other, and users can synchronize work processes on the tablet, no matter from PC to tablet or from tablet to PC. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To improve multitasking efficiency, Huawei has developed a smart Multi-window feature for the MatePad series. With the Multi-window feature, users can open up to 4 apps at once using 2 floating windows and split-screen view.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition, to take full advantage of the landscape display, there’s another interesting feature called app multiplier. It allows you to open dual tasks within the app, but either of them can be operated independently. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Once you get used to the features of multi-window and app multiplier, the whole experience is much more delightful than before. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Especially when you’ve got tired of switching between apps on a tablet, you must understand the pleasure of smooth operation with multi-task mode on a mobile device.  </span></p>
<h3><strong>Huawei MatePad 11: Stylus</strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now let’s talk about the official stylus, the latest HUAWEI M-Pencil. The Pencil feels like a true pencil that we use on paper, not just because it’s lightweight, but also because of the comfortable grip. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405475" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review 27" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-27.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a>Huawei claims that their latest Penkit solution can reduce writing latency down to 2ms. Well, it’s hard to tell whether this is true or not, but we were satisfied with its low latency. Huawei has also opened up the HUAWEI Penkit to app developers. So make sure to check whether your everyday drawing application supports the HUAWEI Penkit optimization. That said, the M-pencil is almost the best low-latency stylus that I’ve used on a non-Apple tablet.</span></p>

<h3><strong>Huawei MatePad 11: Battery Life</strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">About the tablet’s battery performance, it’s much better than what we expected. Especially when compared to the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021, the MatePad 11 still has around 20% of power left after running our standard battery-life test. </span></p>
<h3><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405476" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="MatePad 11 Review battery life" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-battery-life.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></h3>
<h3><strong>Huawei MatePad 11: Verdict</strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the review of XiaoxinPad Pro 2021, we predicted that there will be more competitive tablets coming out in the second half of 2021. But we didn’t really expect a surprise from HUAWEI. As most tablet manufacturers are focusing on hardware of the tablets, HUAWEI stands out as it tries to improve user experience by making the MatePad more like a true tablet, and an efficient one at the software level.  So on the MatePad 11, although it is running the initial version of the Harmony OS, we can already see its potential, especially when it comes to multi-device collaboration.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-405470" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-1024x576.jpg?x96852" alt="" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MatePad-11-Review-11.jpg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />
</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">So that’s all about the HUAWEI MatePad 11, which is probably the best tablet that you can find at this price point.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />

<p>Back in June 2021, the Chinese tech giant held the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/harmonyos-2-0/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HarmonyOS 2.0</a> and new product launch conference, which also had the brand unveil its new MatePad tablets that are equipped with the proprietary operating system. While the top of the model was a 12.6 MatePad Pro, Huawei had also teased the arrival of a 11 inch tablet as well. We had previously reported on rumors that the company would be<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/02/huawei-matepad-11-launch-july-6-sd865-120hz/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> launching this device on June 6</a>, which has now been officially confirmed.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the company&#8217;s announcement of the tablet&#8217;s launch date did not include any finer details regarding its specifications. Although, we do have some information from past reports to go on at the moment. As per these reports, the MatePad 11 will launch with an 11 inch panel on the front that supports 120Hz high refresh rate and features 2.5K resolution. Under the hood, the device is expected to sport the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-865/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Qualcomm Snapdragon 865</a> SoC.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-395921 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/huawei-matepad-11-3.png?x96852" alt="Huawei" width="600" height="459" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/huawei-matepad-11-3.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/huawei-matepad-11-3-300x230.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/huawei-matepad-11-3-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/huawei-matepad-11-3-549x420.png 549w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>For memory, the firm will launch the tablet in multiple storage variants, including a 64GB, 128GB, and even 256GB version that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. Other features include support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Huawei is also expected to launch the MatePad 11 in four color variants in China. So stay tuned, as we will be covering the launch event tomorrow.</p>

We can not tell the same about the newly-announced <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s7-fe">Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE</a>, an affordable version of the Galaxy Tab S7 series, but this tablet still has its own advantages. Another affordable tablet with flagship-class specifications is the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/apple-ipad-air-2020">iPad Air 2020</a>, even though it is a bit older. Which tablet is worth buying now? This comparison will hopefully clear your ideas in regards.</p>

<h2></h2>
<h2>Design</h2>
<p>The Apple iPad Air is more elegant and beautiful than its two rivals by Samsung and Huawei because it has a thinner profile, it is lightweight and it has an aluminum body. It also comes with a fingerprint reader, unlike the Huawei MatePad 11 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is comfortable because it has a magnetic slot for the S Pen.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Display</h2>
<p>If you need the best display, you should opt for the iPad Air 2020. Its Liquid Retina IPS LCD display has a better color reproduction, it supports a wider color gamut and the True-tone technology which adapts the colors to the environment. The iPad Air also comes with a 4:3 aspect ratio which is great for viewing images and reading. The second place goes to the Huawei MatePad 11 2021 packing an IPS display with the highest refresh rate: 120 Hz. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is inferior with its TFT display coming with a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. All of these tablets have a Quad HD+ resolution.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Hardware/Software</h2>
<p>The most advanced performance is provided by the Apple iPad Air 2020: not only it has a stronger Apple A14 Bionic chipset, but it also comes with a well-optimized operating system able to guarantee higher stability and speed. But the Huawei MatePad 11 remains a flagship tablet with its Snapdragon 865 processor, up to 128 GB of internal storage, and 6 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is just a mid-ranger with its Snapdragon 750G. But there is an important thing to note: iPad Air 2020 does not support 5G, while Huawei MatePad 11 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE do.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Camera</h2>
<p>The iPad Air 2020 provides the best camera: we are talking about a 12 MP sensor with a bright f/1.8 focal aperture and 4K video recording up to 60 fps. The selfie camera is great as well with its 7 MP resolution, HDR, and 1080p video recording at 60 fps. The Huawei MatePad 11 comes right after with a 13 MP rear camera paired with an 8 MP front camera, while the camera found on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is a bit disappointing with its 8 MP resolution.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Battery</h2>
<p>The most important pro of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is the battery: with its capacity of 10,090 mAh it is a lot bigger than its rivals and it provides a great battery life. Further, it supports a faster 45W charging technology.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Price</h2>
<p>Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Apple iPad Air are priced at about €650/$788 in the global market, while Huawei MatePad 11 starts from €400/$485 in the Chinese market and it is still not available globally. Overall, the iPad Air 2020 looks like a better choice due to its better camera, display, and operating system (at least for those who want to work with their tablet).</p>
