Huawei Watch Fit Mini is finally up for pre-order in China. If the name rings a bell, it’s because the wearable launched in Europe back in October 2021. The Huawei Watch Fit Mini is a smaller version of the standard model and it comes with a long-lasting 180mAh battery and a 1.47-inch AMOLED touchscreen. There are several health and fitness features and up to 96 sports modes. The watch comes with all the basic monitoring sensors such as a heart rate sensor and a SpO2 measurement sensor.

The Huawei smartwatch features a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 368 x 194 pixels and 282 PPI. The panel carries support for touch input and uses gesture control. If we talk about the design, the watch has a rectangular body and a physical button on the side. The casing of the watch is made using aluminium, while the bottom has a plastic build. The wearable is built to be 5ATM water-resistant and dust resistant.

In terms of sensors, the smartwatch comes with a 6-axis IMU sensor, optical heart rate sensor as well as a SpO2 sensor for monitoring blood oxygen levels. In addition, it features 96 sports modes including running, cycling, swimming, yoga, and more. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support.

Huawei Watch Fit Mini comes with impressive battery life. The company claims that Its 180mAh battery can last for up to 14 days of normal use and up to 10 days of heavy use. The watch is claimed to charge fully in just 65 minutes.

Huawei Watch Fit Mini price, availability

The Huawei Watch Fit Mini will retail for CNY 499 (roughly $73). However, the watch is available for pre-order for CNY 399 (roughly $59). It is available in Frost White, Mocha Brown, and Taro Purple color options. It can be purchased from VMall in China.

Huawei‘s smartphone business may be in the lurch at the moment but the company has been pushing its ecosystem products in several markets. There were reports of the company planning to launch the Watch FIT New in India in the coming days. Before that will happen, the company has made a surprise unveiling of the Watch FIT Mini. The smartwatch is listed on Amazon Germany.

Both the new Watch FIT Mini and the unannounced Watch Fit New are offshoots of the Huawei Watch Fit that made its debut last year. The Watch Fit came with an elongated square-shaped design and was well-received both in China and overseas. The new iteration retains the same design as its predecessor but is a bit smaller.

In terms of specification, the Watch FIT Mini features a 1.47-inch display with a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels. In comparison, the Watch FIT packs a 1.64-inch screen which is 0.17-inches bigger and has a better resolution. But the display type is still an AMOLED panel.

The watch retains the sports and health-tracking features smartwatches are known for. Some of the health/fitness features include a SpO2 sensor, stress monitoring, and sleep tracking.

Furthermore, the watch features up to 96 sports modes, supporting activities such as swimming, cycling, walking, running, and many others. You won’t have to worry about taking it out jogging or while in the shower as it comes with 5 ATM water resistance.

The Huawei Watch Fit Mini carries a price tag of €99 in the EU. The watch crams a 180mAh battery under the hood which Huawei claims can last up to 14 days. We can’t say when the company will launch the watch in other markets soon.
