Its specs sheet is similar to Honor Play 7, so Huawei should launch it around the $100 price range, at least in China. The handset has just been listed on the official website of the company, on which we can see all its specs and features. It will be available in two variants: DRA-L02 and DRA-L22. They will differ for the dual SIM slot which will only be present on the latter. Further, the DRA-L22 variant will feature a dedicated micro SD slot, so you will be able to use both the SIM slots and the micro SD at the same time.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-191849" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y1.jpg?x44794" alt="huawei y5 2018" width="768" height="768" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y1.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y1-270x270.jpg 270w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></p>
<p>Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) measures 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3 mm and it has a weight of just 142 grams. It comes with a 5.45-inch display which boasts an 18:9 aspect ratio and an HD+ resolution with 720 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood, there is an unnamed quad-core SoC with a max clock frequency of 1.5 GHz. Given its specs, we guess it will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a>&#8216;s Snapdragon 430. This is way better than Honor Play 7 featuring a quad-core MediaTek MT6739. Alongside the chipset, there are 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. On the rear side, there is a single main camera with a resolution of 13 MP, while on the front side there is a 5 MP snapper.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-191850" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y2.jpg?x44794" alt="huawei y5 prime 2018" width="768" height="768" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y2.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y2-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y2-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y2-270x270.jpg 270w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></p>
<p>The selfie camera will also support Face Unlock, just like most of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> devices, but it will be available only after an OTA update. Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) is powered by Android 8.1 Oreo customized with EMUI 8.1. It has a battery with a capacity of 3020 mAh and the Power Saving 6.0 technology which will provide up to 62 hours of music playback and up to 13 hours of video playback. The handset will be available in Black, Blue, and Gold, but its price and availability are still unknown.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-191851" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y3.jpg?x44794" alt="huawei y5 prime 2018" width="728" height="628" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y3.jpg 728w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/y3-300x259.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px" /></p>

The images of the company&#8217;s three upcoming smartphones &#8212; Y3, Y5 Prime and Y6 (2018) have surfaced online.</p>
<p>Evan Blass has posted images of the Huawei&#8217;s budget Y-series of smartphones, giving us a glimpse at the design of Huawei&#8217;s Y3, Y5 Prime, and Y6 (2018).</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186686 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-300x186.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-768x477.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y3-2018-540x335.png 540w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>In the leaked images, the Huawei Y3 2018 appears to have a metal finish design, but there&#8217;s a high possibility that the phone will have a plastic body. There are thick bezels surrounding the display, especially on the top and bottom and no fingerprint sensor appears on the device.</p>
<p>The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right side. On the back side, there&#8217;s a single camera, LED flash and a speaker grille. The leaked image doesn&#8217;t have capacitive navigation buttons, hinting that the phone will have on-screen buttons.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186687 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-300x186.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-768x477.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/huawei-y5-prime-540x335.png 540w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Huawei Y5 Prime also appears to have been crafted out of metal. Compared to the Y3, the Y5 Prime seems to have a premium design language. There&#8217;s a single camera sensor on the back side, coupled with an LED flash.</p>
<p>Apart from these two, there&#8217;s Huawei <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/04/12/huawei-y6-2018-with-full-view-189-display-sd-450-android-oreo-unveiled/">Y6 (2018)</a>, which is expected to the premium device among the three. This device too could come with on-screen navigation buttons.</p>
<p>On the back side, the camera module is placed on the top-left corner. The camera sensor is placed along with an LED flash in a horizontal bar, giving it a look as if the phone carries a dual camera setup, although it doesn&#8217;t.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-186688 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018.png?x44794" alt="" width="805" height="456" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018.png 805w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018-300x170.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Huawei-Y6-2018-768x435.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 805px) 100vw, 805px" /></p>
<p>Surprisingly, there&#8217;s no fingerprint sensor on any of the three devices. However, there&#8217;s a possibility that the company could opt to offer a facial recognition feature. Even with face unlock support, the exclusion of a fingerprint sensor is an odd step.</p>
<p>While the specifications related to these devices have not been revealed in this new leak, previous leaked has revealed the specs of Huawei Y3. The phone is expected to carry a display with screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek/">MediaTek</a> MT6737 processor. It&#8217;ll have 1GB RAM and 8GB RAM, and will be running Android 8.1 Oreo and pack 2,200mAh battery.</p>
<p>The Huawei Y6 (2018) has already been announced by the company. However, the company has not yet revealed its pricing and availability details. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes equipped with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a microSD card support for up to 256GB. For the photography, it comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. Running on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-oreo/">Android Oreo</a> out-of-the-box with EMUI 8.0 on top, the device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.</p>
