The Infinix S5 Lite is the newest Infinix phone to go official in India. It has arrived as a weaker sibling of the Infinix S5 phone that is selling with a price tag of Rs. 8,999 (~$125) in India. Priced at Rs. 7,999 (~$111), the Infinix S5 Lite comes with some attractive features like punch-hole display, triple rear cameras and a large-sized battery. The same phone was recently made official in Nigeria.

Infinix S5 Lite Specifications and Features

The Infinix S5 Lite impresses with its 6.6-inch Infinity-O TFT display that offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio. The Chinese firm claims that the phone offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5 percent. The punch-hole present at the top-left corner of its screen has an AI driven 16-megapixel HDR+ selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It can capture better shots in low-light conditions thanks to the 4-in-1 Super Pixel technology. The front camera is optimized to capture beautified selfie shots relying on AI. The phone also supports face beauty in WhatsApp video calling. The selfie snapper also supports AR emojis.

The rear side of the Infinix S5 Lite has a quad smart flash enabled triple camera system. It includes a 16-megapixel autofocus enabled main lens, a 2-megapixel fixed focus lens and an AI sensor. The rear camera supports bokeh mode, hybrid focus, AI scene detection and full HD+ video recording.

The device comes with 64 GB of native storage and there is a microSD card slot onboard for additional storage. The smartphone also features face unlock support and a rear-positioned fingerprint reader.

Budget smartphone manufacturer Infinix teased a new device for the Indian market on Nov. 12. The Infinix S5 Lite is scheduled to launch at 12:00 PM on Nov. 15, on the e-commerce platform Flipkart. The official teaser page of the S5 Lite on Walmart-owned Flipkart shares a few highlights of the device like a punch-hole display, triple-camera setup at the rear and a price tag below Rs. 10,000. Detailed specifications of the device are currently unknown, but that will change post the launch event tomorrow.

According to previous reports, the Infinix S5 Lite flaunts a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a punch-hole design. It carries support for a display resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset with 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. The memory is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. 

In terms of optics the S5 Lite sports a triple-camera setup. The primary lens uses a 16-megapixel sensor with an aperture rating of f/2.0. it is mated to a 2-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel QVGA sensor. The front camera uses a 16-megapixel sensor that sits within the punch-hole. Camera aids include 4-in-1 super pixel technology for greater clarity, Bokeh Mode, AR Emoji and AI Scene Detection. 

The Infinix S5 Lite smartphone is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with Xcharge fast charging and runs on Android 9.0 Pie with XOS 5.5 on top. Connectivity options include dual-SIM connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MicroUSB, and 3.5mm AUX port.

Infinix S5 Lite, the company’s upcoming budget smartphone for the Indian market, has been teased by online marketplace Flipkart. The teaser poster of the device reveals that it will be launched for a price of ₹7,999, which is roughly $112.

The smartphone is teased to get launched in three days which means that the launch will take place on 15th November. The teaser also shows the upcoming phone’s render, revealing that it will come with a punch-hole display.

The upcoming Infinix S5 Lite is expected to be a stripped-down model of the Infinix S5 smartphone launched in India last month, carrying a price tag of ₹8,999, roughly $126.

While nothing much is known about this upcoming smartphone, the render of the phone reveals some key features. It shows that there will be a punch-hole display with a cut-out in the top-left corner for housing the front-facing camera.

On the back side, the device will come with a triple-camera setup where the sensor will be aligned vertically in the top-left corner, along with an LED flash. We can also see a fingerprint sensor on the back panel.

Currently, there’s no official information about the phone’s processor, RAM or internal storage capacity, as well as the software version and battery capacity. In the camera department, the device will have a triple-camera setup on the back with 16MP primary sensor, 2MP secondary sensor and a QVGA camera. On the front side, there will be a 16MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

We expect the Infinix S5 Lite smartphone to come in multiple variants and at least in two gradient color options — Green and Black. To know more about this smartphone, we’ll have to wait for a couple of days more, till the device goes official in India on 15th November.

The Infinix S5 launched in India last month but it didn’t launch in Nigeria until a few days ago, and when it did, it arrived alongside a less-expensive model called the Infinix S5 Lite.

The Infinix S5 Lite keeps the punch-hole LCD display of the S5. However, it ditches the quad rear sensors for triple cameras and the 32MP selfie camera has been replaced with a 16MP sensor. The S5 Lite is available in two configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB and 3GB RAM + 32GB, and comes in black, purple, and green.

The S5 Lite has a 6.6-inch HD+ (1600 x 760 display with 2.5D glass with a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the same Helio P22 processor as the Infinix S5. The phone draws power from a 4000mAh battery.

The triple rear cameras include a 16MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a QVGA camera. There is a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device too. The phone has support for dual-SIMs and storage expansion. It also has a MicroUSB port at the bottom alongside an audio jack.

Infinix ships the phone with XOS 5.5 based on Android 9 Pie. The S5 Lite is priced at NGN 46,500 (~INR 9160) for the 4+64GB version and NGN 42,500 (~INR 8372) for the 3+32GB version. The phone is available for pre-order on Slot and on Pointek. Those who pre-order will get a free HD Bluetooth Headset.

It ha been reported by The Mobile Indian that the Infinix S5 Lite will be making its way to India by the end of November. The price should be cheaper in India since the Infinix S5 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at INR 8,999 (~NGN 45,682) but it sells for NGN 53,000 in Nigeria.
