<h3>1. Honor Magic V6 and Robot Phone</h3>

<p><strong>Launch date: March 1, 2026</strong></p>

<p><strong>Honor Magic V6</strong></p>

<p>Honor Magic V6 is the company’s next-generation foldable smartphone, focusing on enhanced durability, higher battery capacity, and an even slimmer design profile.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/honor-Magic-V6-red-images-1-1.png?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/honor-Magic-V6-red-images-1-1.png?x44794" alt="honor Magic V6" class="wp-image-728354" width="416" height="407" /><figcaption>honor Magic V6 </figcaption></figure></div></a></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/honor-magic-v6/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Magic V6</a> is expected to feature a 200MP primary camera and a 7,150mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The brand claims full-level waterproofing and support for Beidou satellite communication. Recent leaks say the Magic V6 could feature Honor’s self-developed C1+ radio frequency enhancement chip and the E2 energy efficiency enhancement chip.</p>

<p><strong>Honor Robot Phone</strong></p>

<p>Alongside the Magic V6 foldable phone, Honor will also unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/honor-robot-phone/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Honor Robot Phone</a> at the MWC event on March 1. The company offered a sneak peek of the device at CES 2026 in January 2026, and we’ll soon have the complete picture.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Honor-Robot-Phone.jpg?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Honor-Robot-Phone.jpg?x44794" alt="Honor-Robot-Phone" class="wp-image-711011" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Honor-Robot-Phone.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Honor-Robot-Phone-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Honor-Robot-Phone-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Honor-Robot-Phone-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Honor-Robot-Phone-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></a></div>

<p>Honor calls it the industry’s first “robot phone,” featuring a hidden robotic-arm gimbal that deploys with a single tap. This allows the phone to physically move for automatic composition, subject tracking, and enhanced stabilization, claimed by the brand.</p>

<p>The Honor Robot Phone integrates a powerful AI system that can see and respond in real time. The company says it can proactively suggest content, coordinate with other devices across its ecosystem, and function as a digital assistant that feels more personal and context-aware.</p>

<h3>3. Apple iPhone 17e</h3>

<p><strong>Launch date: March 4, 2026 (unconfirmed)</strong></p>

<p>Apple is expected to unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iphone-17e/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone 17e</a>, along with a bunch of Other products, at the upcoming event on March 4. The device is expected to feature the A19 chip, the same chip powering the iPhone 17, but could have a downclocked CPU and GPU. It’s also said to bring an upgraded display engine, ISP, and Neural Engine to improve the on-device AI performance.</p>

<p>iPhone 17e could get a MagSafe upgrade, boosting charging speed to at least 15W. Furthermore, we might also see an upgraded Apple’s C1X modem. The iPhone 17e will likely retain the same display, camera, and design as the 16e.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple</a>’s next budget-tier iPhone, the iPhone 17e, has once again appeared in an early leak. This time around, the next generation budget iPhone from the brand has surfaced in a GeekBench listing, with a suspicious amount of RAM and lacklustre performance. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h2>What the GeekBench Leak Claims (and Why It Raises Eyebrows)</h2>

<p>According to the GeekBench 6 listing shared by leaker Abhishek Yadav on X (formerly Twitter), a device labelled iPhone99,11 was put through the benchmark test. This model could be the upcoming iPhone 17e model, which is the next budget phone from Apple. Earlier rumors had hinted at the iPhone 17e being equipped with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/13/iphone-17e-leak-design-a19-chip-launch-details/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">binned version of the A19</a> processor, and this synthetic performance reflects the same. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="IPhone 17e render" class="wp-image-726910" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Apple iPhone 17e Alleged Render</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The GeekBench 6 listing shows a single core score of 2,560 points, while the multi core test had it achieve 8,553 points. The alleged Apple iPhone 17e was running on the iOS 26.1 operating system and 10GB of RAM. At first glance, those scores don’t seem terrible for a mid-range iPhone running Apple’s next-gen silicon. The bump in RAM from 8GB in the iPhone 16e to 10GB sounds like a welcome improvement, but only if it were true.</p>

<p>There are several red flags here:</p>

<ul><li>The base clock frequency of 3.76 GHz is lower than expected for a next-gen Apple chip.</li><li>The device identifier (“iPhone99,11”) doesn’t match Apple’s usual naming logic.</li><li>The motherboard name in the listing doesn’t match any recently known Apple parts, making it more likely this score was either spoofed or belongs to a different prototype entirely.</li></ul>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple">Apple’s</a> upcoming iPhone 17e has surfaced in a fresh leak by FrontPageTech, offering an early look at its expected design changes, hardware upgrades, and positioning within the company’s lineup. The leak reveals that it could arrive sooner than usual, possibly through a press announcement later this month, signalling Apple’s renewed push in the affordable premium segment.</p>

<h3><strong>iPhone 17e key specifications, design</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render-1024x512.png?x44794" alt="IPhone 17e render" class="wp-image-726908" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render-1024x512.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render-300x150.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render-768x384.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render-696x348.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render-1068x534.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render-840x420.png 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render.png 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>iPhone 17e render by FPT</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZKEPROweXs">FPT</a>, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-17e">iPhone 17e</a> may drop the traditional notch in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/30/iphone-17e-notch-free-leak/">favor of Dynamic Island</a>, aligning its appearance more closely with higher-end models. The device is expected to feature a 6.1-inch display, although reports indicate it may retain a 60Hz refresh rate, which could remain one of its compromises.</p>

<p>Apple appears to be targeting users looking for a relatively accessible entry into the iOS ecosystem, especially in markets where mid-range competition is strong. The handset is also tipped to introduce an upgraded<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/23/iphone-17e-18mp-camera-a19-chip-2026-launch/"> 18-megapixel front camera</a> with Centre Stage functionality, improving video calls and content creation.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="IPhone 17e render" class="wp-image-726910" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-render2.png 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>iPhone 17e render by FPT</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the rear, a single 48-megapixel Fusion camera is likely to continue, relying on improved processing from the newer chipset to deliver better imaging results rather than major hardware changes. Its rear design is almost identical to the previous generation.</p>

<p>Internally, the iPhone 17e is said to run on a lower-binned <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/18/iphone-17e-specifications-leaked/">A19 processor </a>paired with 8GB RAM, enabling support for Apple Intelligence features. Connectivity improvements may come via Apple’s C1X networking chip, while MagSafe charging is reportedly making its way to this tier for the first time.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1-1024x512.png?x44794" alt="iPhone 17e render by FPT" class="wp-image-726909" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1-1024x512.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1-300x150.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1-768x384.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1-696x348.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1-1068x534.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1-840x420.png 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/IPhone-17e-render1.png 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>iPhone 17e render by FPT</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Pricing is said to start at around $599, keeping it in line with its predecessor. Standard Black and White color options are likely, with a possible Lavender variant under consideration.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple</a> may not be planning much of an upgrade for the iPhone 17e, at least if the latest leaks are to be believed. According to a Weibo leaker and Bloomberg’s <em>Mark Gurman</em>, the next “e” model could end up being more of a quiet refresh than a meaningful redesign.</p>

<p><em>Fixed Focus Digital</em> on Weibo claims the iPhone 17e is essentially the iPhone 16e with one major internal change: the new A19 chip. The leaker says there are no notable updates to the display, Face ID system, or overall hardware features.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="300" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-design-chip-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726383" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-design-chip-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-design-chip-leak-300x100.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-design-chip-leak-768x256.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/iPhone-17e-design-chip-leak-696x232.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>In fact, they go as far as saying Apple hasn’t even changed the phone’s mold, which means the physical design and dimensions will remain the same.</p>

<p>That assessment lines up closely with what Mark Gurman is reporting. In his latest comments, Gurman largely confirms that the iPhone 17e will focus on internal upgrades rather than visible changes.</p>

<h2><strong>The changes are all internal</strong></h2>

<p>The phone is expected to run on the A19 chipset and will reportedly gain MagSafe support. The latter was missing from the iPhone 16e and was a common point of criticism from users.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="681" height="695" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-48.png?x44794" alt="iPhone 16e" class="wp-image-676821" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-48.png 681w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-48-294x300.png 294w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-48-412x420.png 412w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-48-356x364.png 356w" sizes="(max-width: 681px) 100vw, 681px" /><figcaption>iPhone 16e</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Beyond the processor, <em>Gurman</em> says the iPhone 17e will also feature Apple’s latest in-house wireless technology, including the C1X cellular modem and the N1 wireless chip. These upgrades fit Apple’s ongoing strategy of reducing its reliance on third-party suppliers.</p>

<p>Design-wise, the iPhone 17e will still skip the Dynamic Island and stick to a notch-style layout like the 16e. Expect no dramatic visual changes, and likely the same screen size and overall look.</p>

<p>As for pricing, both <em>Fixed Focus Digital</em> and <em>Gurman </em>suggest there will be no increase. If true, the iPhone 17e will launch at the same $599 price point as its predecessor. Gurman also notes that the launch could happen soon, with one leak pointing to a February 19 debut.</p>

<h3>1. Samsung Galaxy S26 series</h3>

<p><strong>Launch date:</strong> February 25, 2026 (expected)</p>

<p>This is one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of 2026. While the official launch date is still under wraps, strong leaks suggest a February 25 launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event.</p>

<p>The company will unveil the main trio at the upcoming event: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The remaining models, such as the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 FE, if planned, may launch later this year.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.jpg?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-709900" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Galaxy-S26-Ultra-color-options.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Galaxy S26 Ultra color options (leaked image)</figcaption></figure></a></div>

<p>Based on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-s26/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">past leaks</a>, we aren’t expecting significant upgrades to the Galaxy S26 series, but refinements across display, camera hardware, and bigger batteries. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ will reportedly feature the Exynos 2600 in some markets, including India, while the S26 Ultra will only come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. These will be the first phones to run One UI 8.5 software, based on Android 16.</p>

<p>iQOO will unveil its top-tier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo-15-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iQOO 15 Ultra</a> in China in the first week of February. <p>The leaked spec sheet for the iQOO 15 Ultra sounds pretty powerful, so I’m excited to see how it performs in real life. After this launch, we’ll see the brand unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo-15r/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iQOO 15R</a> in India, a premium mid-range phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This phone could offer an even larger battery at 7,600 mAh with 100W fast charging support.</p>

<p>A recent leak revealed the key specifications of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple">Apple</a> iPhone 17e, which is expected to debut by early 2026. Now, a new development reveals that the iPhone 17e will not feature a chunky notch like the iPhone 16e. A render based on imagination (via <em><a href="https://news.mydrivers.com/1/1089/1089580.htm">MyDrivers</a>)</em> suggests what to expect from the 17e’s display design. Here&#8217;s a look at what&#8217;s revealed.</p>

<h3><strong>iPhone 17e render</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="590" height="403" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/ipHone-17e-front.jpg?x44794" alt="iPhone 17e render" class="wp-image-717294" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/ipHone-17e-front.jpg 590w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/ipHone-17e-front-300x205.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/ipHone-17e-front-218x150.jpg 218w" sizes="(max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px" /><figcaption>iPhone 17e render</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The concept images suggest the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-17e">iPhone 17e</a> will closely resemble a single-camera version of the standard iPhone 17. The most significant shift involves the display interface; the device will finally abandon the legacy notch for the Dynamic Island, unifying the aesthetic across Apple&#8217;s portfolio. However, the screen technology might not see a corresponding leap, likely retaining a 6.1-inch panel with a standard 60Hz refresh rate.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="599" height="412" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/iPhone-17e-.jpg?x44794" alt="iPhone 17e " class="wp-image-717293" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/iPhone-17e-.jpg 599w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/iPhone-17e--300x206.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/iPhone-17e--218x150.jpg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/iPhone-17e--100x70.jpg 100w" sizes="(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px" /><figcaption>iPhone 17e</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Performance-wise, the handset is expected to run on the next-generation A19 chip, though it may feature reduced GPU cores to distinguish it from the standard model.</p>

<p>This targets users on older devices like the iPhone 11 who need a reliable upgrade. Combining the new hardware with the inherent fluidity of iOS, the device is projected to maintain smooth performance for several years.</p>

<p>A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/23/iphone-17e-18mp-camera-a19-chip-2026-launch/">previous report revealed</a> that the other major upgrade would be in the selfie camera, which may jump to an 18-megapixel sensor with Center Stage support. The rear is likely to house a single 48-megapixel wide camera.</p>

<p>Internal connectivity could also see a shift with the inclusion of Apple’s custom C1 modem and N1 wireless chip, designed to improve data transfer speeds and energy efficiency. If these specifications hold true, the phone will narrow the performance gap between Apple&#8217;s budget and flagship offerings.</p>

<p>In September, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple">Apple</a> will unveil the iPhone 17 series globally and it is expected to announce the iPhone 17e next year. Like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-16e/">iPhone 16e</a>, which debuted earlier this year, the iPhone 17e is expected to arrive as the most affordable phone in the iPhone 17 series. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed the key specifications of the iPhone 17e.</p>

<h3><strong>iPhone 17e specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="953" height="338" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-85.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-701870" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-85.png 953w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-85-300x106.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-85-768x272.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-85-696x247.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 953px) 100vw, 953px" /><figcaption>iPhone 17e specifications leaked</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Based on the information obtained from the supply chain, DCS claimed that the iPhone 17e will be equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED display, most likely the same 60Hz low-power panel used on the iPhone 16. It will reportedly carry the same Dynamic Island design and be powered by the Apple A19 chipset.</p>

<p>For cameras, the front is said to include a 12-megapixel sensor with 3D facial recognition, while the rear may house a 48-megapixel main camera. The overall design is expected to see significant changes, but the biggest highlight of the iPhone 17e could once again be its positioning as the most affordable iPhone in the lineup.</p>

<h3><strong>iPhone 16e receives a good reception</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="638" height="744" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-51.png?x44794" alt="iPhone 16e" class="wp-image-676826" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-51.png 638w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-51-257x300.png 257w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-51-360x420.png 360w" sizes="(max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px" /><figcaption>iPhone 16e</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>According to a research report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (<a href="https://cirpapple.substack.com/p/new-iphone-model-us-sales-data-iphone">CIRP</a>) for the June 2025 quarter, the iPhone 16e has established itself as a strong performer in Apple’s lineup. This was the first full quarter of results for the 16e, which was launched in February as a replacement for the long-running iPhone SE. The 16e has proven to be far more popular than its predecessor, easing earlier concerns that it might be priced too high for bargain hunters while offering too few specifications for higher-end buyers.</p>

<p>Instead, the iPhone 16e not only captured demand from existing SE customers but also drew sales away from older legacy models such as the iPhone 15 and 14. In the June 2025 quarter, the 16e accounted for 11 percent of all iPhone sales in the US, more than doubling the SE’s share of just 5 percent in the same quarter a year earlier. Meanwhile, legacy models dropped sharply from 28 percent of unit sales in June 2024 to just 15 percent this quarter, showing how the 16e has reshaped Apple’s lower-tier sales mix.</p>

<p>Based on the iPhone 16e’s strong sales performance, the iPhone 17e can be expected to continue as Apple’s most affordable yet widely appealing iPhone option.</p>

<p>After launching the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-16e/">iPhone 16e</a> earlier this year, Apple appears to be sticking to a yearly refresh cycle for its more affordable smartphone line. According to a new report, the iPhone 17e is already in the pipeline and is expected to arrive sometime in spring 2026.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1013" height="672" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-53.png?x44794" alt="iPhone 16e" class="wp-image-676830" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-53.png 1013w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-53-300x199.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-53-768x509.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-53-696x462.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/image-53-633x420.png 633w" sizes="(max-width: 1013px) 100vw, 1013px" /></figure>

<p>A <a href="https://www.thelec.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=37930">report</a> from South Korea’s <em>The Elec</em>—a reliable source for supply chain developments—claims the iPhone 17e will launch between March and May next year. This lines up with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple/">Apple</a>’s strategy of moving away from the sporadic iPhone SE releases (2016, 2020, and 2022) and toward something more consistent, akin to Google’s annual Pixel “a” series refreshes.</p>

<h2>No major display changes — but other upgrades expected</h2>

<p>The iPhone 17e is expected to retain the same 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display used in the iPhone 16e, featuring a 1170&#215;2532 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. This panel originally debuted with the iPhone 14, and multiple suppliers—including BOE, Samsung Display, and LG Display—are said to be involved again, with BOE reportedly supplying the largest share. While the display isn’t changing, improvements are likely coming elsewhere.</p>

<p>The company wants to maintain a distinct separation between the budget-friendly “e” line and its flagship models like the iPhone 17 Pro, to avoid overlap or cannibalization. The iPhone 17e is expected to retain its $599 price tag, though ongoing US tariffs could affect final pricing. With trial production already underway, rumors suggest a May 2026 release is likely.</p>

<p>The iPhone 17e will likely go head-to-head with Samsung’s rumored Galaxy S25 FE, which could feature the Exynos 2400e. Apple’s approach also focuses on cost-effective component reuse to keep pricing competitive.</p>
