Keychron has launched its latest mechanical keyboard in the V Max series. Called the Keychron V2 Max, it’s a compact 65% keyboard with a sleek design and different customizable options for users. Let’s delve into its details here.

Keychron V2 Max Specifications

The V2 Max comes with a Gasket mount structure and PC positioning plate, promising a smooth, refined typing experience. It arrives as both a barebones kit and a fully assembled keyboard, allowing you to tailor your setup. 

Since customizability is a priority here, you can choose your ideal switches from Keychron’s selection of Gateron Jupiter switches — Jupiter Red (linear), Jupiter Tea (tactile), or Jupiter Banana (tactile).

The V2 Max also features hot-swappable sockets which means you can freely replace the switches without soldering them. It’s a great convenience to any keyboard enthusiast.

For those who want further personalization, you can take advantage of QMK/VIA support that lets you change the keymap on your keyboard without needing to reflash firmware.

As for connectivity, the keyboard seamlessly transitions between wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless connection modes for maximum compatibility. It even includes dual 2.4GHz receivers and adapters for both USB-A and USB-C devices.

• V2M-Z kit (barebones): Priced at 438 yuan (roughly $63 USD) with a promotional discount bringing the price down to 381 yuan (roughly $55 USD).
• V2M-D (fully assembled): Includes your choice of Gateron Jupiter switches, and OSA PBT keycaps. Priced at 558 yuan (roughly $80 USD) but a promotional discount brings the costs down to 485 yuan (roughly $70 USD).
