Again White Lenovo ZUK Edge Render Leaks Ahead of Launch

Ahead of its December 20 launch, yet another render of the Lenovo ZUK Edge has leaked revealing both the front and rear views of the sleek device. The image is that of the white-colored variant of the ZUK Edge. The device is likely to come in white and all black variants.

The ZUK Edge, it could be recalled, was initially thought to be unveiled on December 7 but that didn’t happen and now a new poster pointing at a December 20 launch was spotted online. The Edge looks very much like the Xiaomi Mi Mix and could be termed Lenovo’s response to Xiaomi’s concept phone. It utilizes a design that sees the display occupying almost the entire screen. There are also ultra-narrow bezels at the sides.

Specs wise, the Lenovo ZUK Edge features a 5.5-inch 1080p display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor backed by 4GB of RAM. There will also be 64GB of internal storage as well as a 3,000mAh built-in battery with fast charging support onboard the flagship. In addition, the device is touted to come with USB Type-C interface, an 8MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, running Android Nougat and many other cool features.

Lenovo ZUK Edge To Go On Sale Wednesday Dec. 7, Official Teaser Reveals

Lenovo VP has been the source of several official teasers concerning the ZUK Edge all along. The VP today shared yet another teaser containing the black variant that again reveals the Lenovo ZUK Edge will officially go on sale starting from Wednesday, December 7, 2016, on Jingdong (JD.com). He had earlier shared a similar teaser containing the white version.

From all indications, there won’t be an official press conference where the ZUK Edge would be unveiled but rather the sleek device would be released directly via e-commerce website Jingdong in China. There is no price tag attached to the device just yet but it is believed that when it is launched, a price tag will be ascribed to it. One unique thing to note from the teased image announcing the device is that the black version looks like the Galaxy Note 7 in design and sleek looks. That isn’t very obvious, though.

As a reminder, the Lenovo ZUK Edge will launch with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It will also join the ranks of Huawei’s Mate 9 to be one of the few Chinese phones launching with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. In adition, the ZUK Edge will have a 13MP primary camera on the back, and an 8MP sensor in front for selfies. The phone will be powered by a 3000mAh battery.

Lenovo ZUK Edge Render, Likely Specs & Price Revealed in New Leak

The Lenovo ZUK Edge is expected to be launched sometime this week and just before that happens, there has been another leak of the device’s render. Not that this is the first we’ll be seeing but this new render leaked via Slashleaks is an high-definition image of the front view of the ZUK Edge. Indeed it shows all the front features and design clearly as opposed to previous renders.

The render reveals once again the design of the device, with a large display occupying about 90% of the screen and very narrow bezels at the edges. There is a home button, though, just under the display. The home button is touted as housing the fingerprint sensor which is said to be a non-aperture sensor in that it might be under the glass and would be flat.

The leak also reveals the Lenovo ZUK Edge would sport a 5.5-inch 1080 pixels display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset which would be backed by 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a 3000mAh built-in battery on the device with support for fast charging technology and a USB Type-C interface. Further, the ZUK Edge is listed as packing a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The device is also given a dimension of 142.9 x 74.5 x 7.68 mm and weight of 160 g.

Slashleaks also leaked the likely price of the ZUK Edge as 2,699 Yuan ($388). The device will drop any moment from now, so we’ll wait to see the official price.
