Motorola Edge 70 Pro and Google Pixel 10a target buyers looking for a premium smartphone experience without stepping into flagship pricing. While Motorola focuses on high-end hardware, fast charging, and versatile cameras, Google leans heavily on software optimization, long-term support, and computational photography. Choosing between them comes down to whether hardware advantages or software refinement matters more in daily use.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro delivers a more premium appearance with its eco-leather rear panel, slim profile, and IP68/IP69 protection. It also carries MIL-STD-810H certification, adding an extra layer of durability for users who spend time outdoors. The design feels modern and stylish while remaining practical for everyday handling.

The Google Pixel 10a takes a more straightforward approach with an aluminum frame and plastic back. Its build quality remains solid, and the IP68 rating ensures reliable protection against water and dust. The compact form factor makes it easier to use with one hand, which many users may prefer for daily convenience.

Display Quality

Motorola clearly prioritizes display specifications. Its 6.78-inch AMOLED panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR content, and an extremely bright 5200-nit peak brightness. The higher resolution and smoother refresh rate create a more immersive experience for gaming and media consumption.

Google’s 6.3-inch P-OLED display offers excellent color accuracy and HDR support with a 120Hz refresh rate. While not as impressive on paper, Google’s display tuning is known for delivering a natural and consistent viewing experience.

Verdict

The Pixel 10a wins for compact usability, but the Edge 70 Pro offers the more impressive overall package thanks to its premium finish, stronger durability credentials, larger screen, higher resolution, and significantly superior display specifications.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme paired with UFS 4.1 storage and up to 12GB RAM. The combination delivers excellent responsiveness, faster app loading, and stronger multitasking capabilities. Users who frequently game or run demanding applications will appreciate the additional performance headroom.

Google’s Tensor G4 focuses more on AI-driven experiences than raw speed. Every day performance remains smooth, and Google’s software optimization keeps the interface fluid. However, UFS 3.1 storage and lower memory options place it behind Motorola in pure hardware capability.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is a major strength for Motorola. The 6500mAh battery is among the largest in the segment and is paired with ultra-fast 90W wired charging, along with wireless and reverse wireless charging support.

The Pixel 10a’s 5100mAh battery remains respectable and should comfortably last a full day. However, its 30W charging feels considerably slower compared to Motorola’s solution.

Verdict

The Edge 70 Pro takes a clear lead in specifications. Faster storage, more memory options, stronger performance potential, a larger battery, and dramatically faster charging make it a more capable hardware-focused smartphone.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

Motorola equips the Edge 70 Pro with an unusually versatile triple-camera setup consisting of 50MP wide, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP periscope telephoto cameras with 3.5x optical zoom. The inclusion of a dedicated telephoto lens significantly expands shooting flexibility, especially for portraits and distant subjects. Video recording is also impressive with support for 4K at up to 120fps.

The Pixel 10a relies on a dual-camera system featuring a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. While the hardware appears less ambitious, Google’s image processing remains one of the strongest in the industry. Features such as Best Take, Ultra HDR, and Pixel Shift help produce consistently excellent photos.

Selfie Camera

Motorola’s 50MP autofocus selfie camera offers higher resolution and greater versatility. It is particularly useful for detailed selfies and video calls.

Google’s 13MP ultrawide selfie camera provides a wider field of view, making group selfies easier, though image detail is lower.

Verdict

The Edge 70 Pro wins on hardware versatility and zoom capability, while the Pixel 10a remains highly competitive through software processing. Users seeking maximum camera flexibility will likely find Motorola more appealing.

Pricing

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is priced around $400 (₹39,000), while the Google Pixel 10a is priced around $500 (₹50,000). This creates a noticeable price gap of roughly $100 or ₹11,000 between the two devices.

At its price point, Motorola delivers flagship-style features such as a 144Hz display, periscope telephoto camera, 6500mAh battery, 90W charging, UFS 4.1 storage, and wireless charging. The specification sheet feels unusually generous for the segment and competes with devices that often cost considerably more.

Google’s higher price is largely justified by its software strengths. Buyers receive seven years of Android upgrades, exclusive Pixel AI features, strong camera processing, and a clean Android experience. These advantages may hold long-term value for users who keep phones for many years.

Verdict

From a pure value-for-money perspective, the Edge 70 Pro delivers more hardware for less money. The Pixel 10a justifies its premium through software longevity rather than specifications.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, launch timing, and applicable taxes. Always check whether the listed price is for a China unit or a global/international variant when purchasing.

Conclusion

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro stands out with its 144Hz AMOLED display, 6500mAh battery, 90W charging, UFS 4.1 storage, and rare periscope telephoto camera. It is clearly designed for buyers who prioritize powerful hardware and feature-rich specifications.

The Google Pixel 10a differentiates itself through seven years of Android updates, Tensor-powered AI capabilities, advanced computational photography, Satellite SOS support, and Google’s highly optimized software experience. These strengths make it particularly attractive for users who value long-term reliability and software support.

Verdict

Motorola Edge 70 Pro is the stronger overall choice for most buyers. It offers a superior display, faster performance, better charging, a larger battery, and a more versatile camera system while costing less.

Google Pixel 10a remains an excellent option for users who prioritize software updates, AI features, and Google’s camera processing, but the Edge 70 Pro provides the more compelling overall value in this comparison.

Disclaimer: This comparison is based on the specifications provided and is intended for general informational purposes. Actual performance, camera results, battery life, and overall experience may vary depending on real-world usage, software updates, and individual preferences.

POCO X8 Pro and Motorola Edge 70 Pro take two very different approaches to the premium mid-range market. One focuses heavily on raw performance and ultra-fast charging, while the other pushes a more refined flagship-style experience with stronger cameras and cleaner software. With both phones offering powerful Dimensity chipsets, large batteries, and premium AMOLED displays, this comparison becomes less about specifications alone and more about which experience feels better in daily use.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The POCO X8 Pro focuses on a more performance-oriented flagship style with an aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and IP68/IP69K durability. It feels sturdy and practical, especially for users who prefer a solid in-hand experience. The flat-frame approach also gives it a sharper and more gaming-focused personality.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro takes a more premium lifestyle approach with its eco-leather finish and curved styling. It looks cleaner and more elegant in daily use, while the MIL-STD-810H certification adds extra confidence for durability. Motorola’s cleaner software experience also complements the refined hardware design well.

Display Quality

POCO offers a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and extremely high PWM dimming support, making it comfortable for long viewing sessions. Colors feel vibrant, especially while gaming or streaming.

Motorola counters with a larger 6.78-inch AMOLED panel featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and an impressive 5200 nits peak brightness. The smoother animations and brighter outdoor visibility give it a more flagship-like display experience overall.

Verdict

The POCO X8 Pro feels more performance-centric and durable, while the Motorola Edge 70 Pro delivers a more polished, premium design with a superior display experience. Users focused on media consumption and visual smoothness may naturally lean toward Motorola.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

Both smartphones are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500-series chipsets paired with UFS 4.1 storage, so everyday speed remains flagship-grade on both devices. The POCO X8 Pro appears slightly more aggressive in optimization, especially for gaming and sustained workloads. HyperOS 3 also adds several performance-focused tweaks that make the phone feel very fast under pressure.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro focuses more on balanced performance and smooth software refinement. Android 16 with guaranteed major upgrades makes it attractive for long-term users who prioritize consistency over aggressive tuning. Motorola’s cleaner interface often feels lighter and less cluttered during regular use.

Battery and Charging

Both devices pack large 6500mAh silicon-carbon batteries, which is excellent for heavy users. The POCO X8 Pro clearly wins in charging speed with 100W wired charging that can fully charge the device in under an hour. Reverse wired charging is another useful addition for accessories.

Motorola offers 90W wired charging, but adds wireless and reverse wireless charging support, which brings more flagship convenience.

Verdict

The POCO X8 Pro is the stronger choice for raw gaming performance and ultra-fast charging, while the Motorola Edge 70 Pro feels more balanced and future-ready thanks to cleaner software and wireless charging support.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

The POCO X8 Pro keeps things simple with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The primary sensor performs well in daylight with strong contrast and vibrant colors, especially for social-media-ready shots. OIS support also helps improve low-light stability. However, the secondary ultrawide camera feels more functional than flagship-grade.

Motorola takes a significantly more ambitious approach with a triple 50MP camera setup that includes a periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. This instantly gives it more versatility for portraits, zoom shots, and travel photography. Pantone-validated colors also help produce more natural skin tones and balanced images. The ultrawide camera doubles as a stronger macro shooter as well.

Selfie Camera

POCO’s 20MP front camera is reliable for casual selfies and video calls, though it remains fairly standard in this segment.

Motorola’s 50MP autofocus selfie camera delivers sharper detail and better flexibility for creators and vlog-style recording. Support for 4K selfie video also adds extra appeal.

Verdict

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro comfortably wins the camera battle thanks to its versatile triple-camera system, stronger zoom capabilities, and significantly better selfie hardware. The POCO X8 Pro remains good for casual photography but clearly prioritizes performance over camera versatility.

Pricing

The POCO X8 Pro is priced around ₹35,000, while the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is priced around ₹39,000. The difference is not massive, but the value proposition changes depending on user priorities.

POCO delivers excellent hardware value with flagship-level charging speeds, strong gaming performance, premium durability, and a vibrant AMOLED panel at a slightly lower price. For users focused mainly on gaming, battery life, and raw speed, the pricing feels extremely competitive.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro justifies its higher price through a more complete flagship experience. Features like the periscope camera, wireless charging, cleaner Android software, brighter display, and better selfie hardware make the extra cost easier to understand. The overall experience feels more polished and balanced rather than aggressively performance-focused.

Verdict

The POCO X8 Pro offers stronger value for performance-focused buyers, while the Motorola Edge 70 Pro feels worth the premium for users who want a more refined all-around flagship experience with better cameras and premium features.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, launch timing, and applicable taxes. Always check whether the listed price is for a China unit or a global/international variant when purchasing.

Conclusion

The POCO X8 Pro stands out with its 100W charging, gaming-focused optimization, durable aluminum-frame construction, and highly competitive pricing. It feels like a smartphone designed specifically for users who prioritize speed, battery endurance, and long gaming sessions without spending flagship-level money.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro differentiates itself through its cleaner, premium identity. The 144Hz display, wireless charging support, periscope zoom camera, Pantone color tuning, and refined Android experience make it feel more complete as a lifestyle flagship. The camera hardware especially creates a noticeable gap between the two devices in real-world versatility.

Verdict

POCO X8 Pro is the smarter choice for gamers and power users looking for maximum performance value. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro, however, emerges as the better overall smartphone for users who want stronger cameras, cleaner software, and a more premium flagship-style experience.

Disclaimer: This comparison is based on the specifications provided and is intended for general informational purposes. Actual performance, camera results, battery life, and overall experience may vary depending on real-world usage, software updates, and individual preferences.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro and OnePlus Nord 6 both aim at premium mid-range buyers, but their designs appeal to different audiences. Motorola focuses more on elegance and comfort with its eco-leather finish, curved styling, and slimmer overall profile. The phone feels cleaner and more refined in daily use, especially with the soft-touch rear panel that gives it a flagship-like character. The Nord 6, in comparison, adopts a more aggressive and performance-oriented look with a glass back and a bolder frame design. Both devices offer IP68/IP69 protection along with MIL-STD-810H certification, making durability a strong point on either side.

Display Quality

Both smartphones feature sharp AMOLED displays with 1B colors and identical resolution, but the tuning differs noticeably. The Nord 6 pushes a faster 165Hz refresh rate, giving animations and gaming a smoother appearance. Meanwhile, the Edge 70 Pro counters with higher peak brightness and stronger HDR optimization, making streaming and outdoor visibility more impressive. Motorola’s display feels more cinematic and balanced for multimedia, while OnePlus leans heavily toward responsiveness and gaming fluidity.

Verdict

The Edge 70 Pro feels more premium and polished overall, while the Nord 6 is better suited for users who prioritize ultra-smooth visuals and gaming-focused display performance.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The OnePlus Nord 6 clearly targets enthusiasts with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and Adreno 825 GPU. Gaming performance, multitasking, and sustained thermal management are stronger here, especially during heavier workloads. OxygenOS also keeps the software experience extremely fluid and responsive. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro, powered by the Dimensity 8500 Extreme, still delivers excellent day-to-day performance and reliable gaming capability, but its approach feels more balanced rather than aggressively performance-focused. Motorola’s near-stock Android experience also gives the device a lighter and cleaner feel in regular usage.

Battery and Charging

Battery capacity heavily favors the Nord 6. The global version carries a massive 7500mAh battery, while the Indian model stretches all the way to 9000mAh, giving it exceptional endurance for gaming and media consumption. However, Motorola answers with faster 90W charging, wireless charging support, and reverse wireless charging, features rarely available in this segment. The Edge 70 Pro feels more complete in terms of convenience, while the Nord 6 focuses purely on long-lasting power.

Verdict

The Nord 6 wins for raw performance and battery endurance, but the Edge 70 Pro offers a more balanced flagship-style experience with better premium hardware features.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

Motorola takes a major lead in camera versatility with its triple-camera setup. The Edge 70 Pro includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. This combination delivers far more flexibility for photography enthusiasts, especially for portraits and zoom shots. The Nord 6 uses a simpler dual-camera system with a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. While the main camera performs well in daylight and social media photography, the secondary sensor feels less impressive for this price segment.

Selfie Camera

The Edge 70 Pro also pushes ahead with a sharper 50MP autofocus selfie camera capable of 4K recording. The Nord 6 still produces respectable selfies through its 32MP front camera, but detail retention and focus consistency are noticeably stronger on Motorola’s device. Motorola’s image processing also tends to look more natural and balanced without excessive sharpening.

Verdict

The Edge 70 Pro is clearly the stronger camera smartphone overall. Its periscope zoom lens and higher-quality secondary cameras give it a more flagship-like photography experience.

Pricing

Both the Motorola Edge 70 Pro and OnePlus Nord 6 are priced around $400 or roughly ₹39,000, placing them directly against each other in the premium mid-range category. At this price, the competition becomes extremely close because both phones prioritize different strengths. The Nord 6 focuses heavily on performance, battery capacity, and gaming-oriented hardware. Buyers who want maximum endurance and stronger sustained gaming performance will likely find better value in OnePlus’ approach.

The Edge 70 Pro, however, feels like a more complete premium smartphone package. Wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, a dedicated periscope telephoto camera, and a more premium eco-leather finish help it stand out from typical mid-range competitors. These additions give Motorola a stronger flagship-like identity, especially for multimedia and photography-focused users. The decision ultimately depends on whether raw power or overall versatility matters more.

Verdict

The Nord 6 delivers stronger value for gamers and power users, while the Edge 70 Pro feels like the better all-around premium smartphone for the same money.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, launch timing, and applicable taxes. Always check whether the listed price is for a China unit or a global/international variant when purchasing.

Conclusion

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro stands out because it combines premium extras rarely seen in this segment. Wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, a periscope zoom camera, Pantone-validated imaging, and a cleaner, premium design help it feel more refined and feature-rich. It targets users who want a flagship-style experience without stepping into ultra-premium pricing territory.

The OnePlus Nord 6 takes a completely different route by focusing on raw hardware power. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, huge battery capacity, bypass charging support, and 165Hz AMOLED display make it one of the most performance-oriented phones in its category. It feels specifically designed for gamers and heavy users who prioritize endurance and speed above everything else. OxygenOS also continues to appeal to users who prefer a fast and responsive software experience.

Verdict

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is the better-balanced smartphone overall, especially for cameras, multimedia, and premium features. The OnePlus Nord 6 is the stronger choice for gaming, battery life, and long-term performance-heavy usage.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro target the same premium mid-range audience, but they approach the experience very differently. Motorola focuses on raw hardware value with a massive battery, flagship-style cameras, and faster performance, while Nothing leans into bold design, software polish, and visual identity. Both promise high-end features without entering true flagship pricing, making this one of the most interesting smartphone comparisons in the segment right now.

Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro take very different approaches to design. Motorola focuses on practicality with its eco-leather finish, slimmer profile, IP68/IP69 protection, and MIL-STD-810H certification. It feels cleaner and easier to grip, while the curved styling gives it a more premium in-hand experience. Nothing, meanwhile, leans heavily into visual identity with its aluminum unibody chassis and signature Glyph-style mini-LED setup on the back. The metal construction feels more flagship-like, though the glossy finish may not appeal to users who prefer understated designs.

Display Quality

Both phones offer 144Hz AMOLED panels with HDR support and excellent sharpness, but the experience differs slightly. Motorola pushes brighter peak brightness levels and delivers stronger outdoor visibility, while Nothing counters with richer HDR tuning and slimmer bezels for a more immersive look. The Nothing display feels more cinematic, whereas Motorola’s panel appears more aggressive and vibrant for gaming and scrolling.

Verdict

Motorola feels more practical and durable for daily use, while Nothing delivers a stronger visual personality. Users who prefer clean usability may gravitate toward Motorola, but Nothing stands out more in a crowd.

Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro clearly targets power users with the Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, UFS 4.1 storage, and faster CPU cores. App loading, multitasking, and gaming performance should feel noticeably quicker, especially during sustained workloads. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 paired with UFS 3.1 storage, which remains efficient and capable for everyday tasks, but it does not reach the same performance tier. Motorola also gains an advantage with Wi-Fi 7 support, making it feel slightly more future-ready.

Battery and Charging

Battery capacity is another major win for Motorola, thanks to its 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W charging. It also includes wireless and reverse wireless charging, features usually missing in this price segment. Nothing’s 5080mAh global battery and 50W charging are respectable, though less impressive considering the price. Charging speeds remain good, but Motorola simply offers more flexibility and endurance overall.

Verdict

Motorola provides stronger raw hardware value and a more complete battery package. Nothing focuses more on balanced efficiency, but Motorola feels better suited for heavy users and long-term performance needs.

Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

Both phones use a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom, making this one of the closest camera battles in the segment. Motorola gains an edge with its 50MP ultrawide camera, which should preserve more detail and consistency across focal lengths. Nothing uses an 8MP ultrawide sensor, which feels less competitive beside its otherwise premium setup. Video capabilities also favor Motorola with support for 4K at up to 120fps and HDR10+, while Nothing focuses more on Dolby Vision HDR tuning and cinematic processing.

Selfie Camera

Motorola again appears stronger on paper with a 50MP autofocus selfie camera capable of 4K recording. Nothing’s 32MP front camera is solid for casual use, but the lack of 4K selfie video makes it feel less premium. Motorola’s setup seems more creator-friendly overall.

Verdict

Motorola offers a more versatile and technically complete camera system. Nothing may produce more stylized processing and social-media-friendly colors, but Motorola delivers stronger consistency across all lenses.

Pricing

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is priced at around ₹39,000 ($400), while the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro sits near ₹40,000 ($500). Despite the small gap in India, the hardware difference is surprisingly noticeable. Motorola includes a stronger chipset, a larger battery, faster charging, wireless charging support, a higher-resolution ultrawide camera, and faster storage. On pure specifications alone, it feels aggressively priced for the segment.

Nothing justifies part of its premium through design identity, software polish, and the Glyph-inspired LED experience. The aluminum body and cleaner Nothing OS experience also add emotional appeal that some buyers may value more than benchmark numbers. It feels more lifestyle-oriented, while Motorola is clearly chasing maximum hardware value.

Verdict

Motorola Edge 70 Pro delivers stronger value for money and offers more flagship-grade hardware for the price. Nothing Phone (4a) Pro still appeals to buyers who prioritize unique design and software experience over raw specifications.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, launch timing, and applicable taxes. Always check whether the listed price is for a China unit or a global/international variant when purchasing.

Conclusion

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro stands out through its performance-focused approach. Features like the Dimensity 8500 Extreme chip, 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, wireless charging, Wi-Fi 7, and triple 50MP camera setup make it feel unusually complete for its price category. It targets users who want flagship-like hardware without crossing premium pricing territory.

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro focuses more on identity and software personality. Its Glyph-inspired LED system, aluminum unibody design, and clean Nothing OS experience create a device that feels different from mainstream Android phones. The interface and visual styling give it a more distinctive character, especially for users bored with conventional smartphone designs.

Verdict

Motorola Edge 70 Pro is the stronger all-rounder with better specifications, battery life, charging, and camera versatility. Nothing Phone (4a) Pro succeeds more as a design-first smartphone with a cleaner aesthetic and unique personality.

Buyers focused on value and power will likely prefer Motorola, while Nothing remains appealing for users who prioritize style and software experience.

Actual performance, camera results, battery life, and overall experience may vary depending on real-world usage, software updates, and individual preferences.

Global Motorola Edge 70 Pro specifications and price

In comparison, the Indian version of the Edge 70 Pro supports up to 5200 nits of brightness, and its display size is officially listed as 6.8 inches. It packs the same chipset and is available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants with 256GB of internal storage. It houses the same battery but lacks wireless charging support. The Indian version also misses out on the periscope telephoto camera and eSIM support.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus for the Indian market?

Recent reports have revealed that the Indian market may receive another model called the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus. In all likelihood, this model could be a rebranded version of the global Edge 70 Pro.

Motorola has officially hit its stride in 2026, delivering a smartphone lineup that perfectly balances premium features, clean software, and unbeatable value. Whether you are looking for a cutting-edge foldable, a stylus-equipped productivity machine, or a budget phone that refuses to die after a long day, Motorola has something tailored for you.

Our top pick for 2026 is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. It offers a masterclass in flagship-killer design, boasting a massive 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, blazing-fast 90W charging, and the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, all wrapped in a stunning 6.8-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display.

But why does Motorola stand out in a crowded market? It comes down to their value proposition. Motorola consistently offers near-stock Android experiences (now enhanced with intuitive Moto AI features), industry-leading battery life, and military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H) across almost its entire 2026 lineup.

Here is our comprehensive guide to the best Motorola phones you can buy right now.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and features a stunning 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with up to 5000 nits of peak brightness. You also get premium features like 68W fast charging and a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C camera.

Pairing a 5200mAh battery with the highly power-efficient MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and an LCD display, the G Power sips battery. For the average user, this is easily a two-day phone. When it does eventually die, the 30W fast charging gets you back up and running quickly. If battery anxiety is your main concern, the G Power line remains undefeated.

Buying Guide

What is the top Motorola smartphone right now?

The top Motorola smartphone in 2026 is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. It offers the best combination of performance (Dimensity 8500 Extreme), a massive 6500mAh battery, and premium camera hardware. If you prefer foldables, the Razr 60 Ultra is their top-tier flip phone.

What is the best budget Motorola phone?

The Moto G Power (2026) is the best budget option. At $299.99, it provides incredible value, featuring a 120Hz display, military-grade durability, and multi-day battery life.

Is Motorola better than Samsung?

It depends on what you value. Motorola generally offers better bang for your buck, especially in the budget and mid-range tiers. Motorola phones also feature a cleaner, near-stock Android experience (My UX / Hello UX) compared to Samsung’s heavier One UI. However, Samsung often holds an edge in ultimate camera zoom capabilities on their highest-end Ultra models.

Are Motorola phones good today?

Absolutely. In 2026, Motorola has addressed past criticisms by standardizing high-end features across lower price points. Almost all their new phones feature IP68/IP69 water resistance, MIL-STD-810H durability, massive batteries, and robust software update promises (up to 3 OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates on the Edge line).

Motorola is reportedly preparing to launch the Razr 70 series in China. Recently, the standard model was approved by the country’s TENAA certification, revealing all its specs ahead of launch. The same certification body has now approved the Razr 70 Ultra, listing its core specifications. Here’s a look at the details of the Ultra variant.

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra TENAA listing

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra’s leaked renders

The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, which carries the model number XT2655-4, has appeared on TENAA with a 6.9-inch foldable OLED display offering a resolution of 1224 × 2992 pixels. On the outside, it features a 4-inch OLED cover screen with a resolution of 1080 × 1272 pixels.

Although the chipset is only listed with a clock speed of 3.53–4.32GHz, it appears to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The TENAA listing reveals 8GB, 10GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM variants, along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options for the Chinese market.

The Razr 70 Ultra packs a dual-cell battery rated at 1125mAh + 3415mAh, with a total rated capacity of 4,540mAh. This suggests that its typical capacity could be around 4,700mAh, similar to the previous generation. It is likely to support 68W fast charging, as indicated by a recently spotted 3C certification listing.

Moving to the cameras, the TENAA listing reveals a 50-megapixel front camera and a dual 50-megapixel rear camera setup. For security, it will feature a side-facing fingerprint sensor. The device measures 171 x 73.9 x 7.2mm and weighs around 199 grams.

The dimensions of the Razr 70 Ultra’s Chinese edition are almost identical to the previous generation. However, recent reports suggest that the global version may measure around 7.8mm in thickness and could pack a larger 5,000mAh battery. It is advisable to wait for further reports to confirm whether there will be any differences in specifications between the global and Chinese editions of the Razr 70 Ultra.

While it is confirmed to feature a Sony LYT-710 50-megapixel primary camera, details about the rest of the cameras have yet to be revealed.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro color options

The Edge 70 Pro will be available in three Pantone shades: Lily White with a marble finish, Tea (green) with a satin luxe finish, and Titan (blue) with a tailored fabric finish. At present, there is no information about the device’s price, but considering that the Edge 70 was priced at Rs 29,999 at launch, it is likely that the upcoming Pro model could be priced under Rs 40,000.

Motorola is also reportedly planning to launch a device named the Edge 70 Pro+. There is no clarity yet on how the Pro+ variant will differ from the standard Pro model.

The Edge 70 Pro by Motorola is set to be announced in India soon. Ahead of the big reveal, the device has appeared on Geekbench, revealing its chipset and performance metrics.

According to details shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the phone appears on benchmark tests with 12GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box. The listing also reveals an octa-core chipset, believed to be part of MediaTek’s Dimensity 8000 series—likely the Dimensity 8500.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro will use a MediaTek chipset.

Dimensity 8500 SoC
1 core @ 3.40 GHz
3 cores @ 3.20 GHz
4 cores @ 2.20 GHz

Mali-G720 MC8 GPU
12GB RAM
Android 16

Geekbench scores:
Single-core: 1,727
Multi-core: 6,563 pic.twitter.com/LhBWWF0AFT
— Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) April 14, 2026

The chip uses a mix of cores, including four efficiency cores clocked at 2.2GHz, three performance cores at 3.2GHz, and a prime core reaching up to 3.4GHz. Graphics duties are handled by a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.

In terms of raw numbers, the device scores 1,727 in single-core and 6,563 in multi-core tests.

What to expect?

The benchmark leak comes shortly after a teaser microsite quietly went live on Flipkart. While the page doesn’t explicitly name the device, the design and finishes shown match previously leaked renders of the Edge 70 Pro. It is expected to come in three finishes: a fabric-like blue, a satin-style green, and a marble-inspired white.

Design-wise, the phone is expected to stick with familiar Motorola aesthetics, a curved display with a centered hole-punch camera, and a square-shaped module on the back housing a triple camera system. There is also mention of HDR10+ certification.

Moreover, certification listings suggest a 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90 W fast charging via USB-C. Other specifications have not been confirmed yet.

None of this is official just yet, but the pieces are starting to line up. Between the benchmark listing, leaked visuals, and the Flipkart teaser, it looks like Motorola is getting ready to formally introduce the Edge 70 Pro soon.

The design includes a curved display that wraps on both sides, paired with a slim, flat frame. On the rear, a square camera module houses three lenses. The camera setup includes an ultra-wide lens with a 12 mm full-frame equivalent focal length and a telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom with optical image stabilization. At least one sensor in the system uses Sony’s Lytia technology, pointing to a focus on improved imaging.

Certification listings indicate a 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90 W fast charging via USB-C. Other specifications have not been confirmed yet, but the launch is expected before the end of April.

Earlier coverage aligns with these details. Motorola had already teased the device with the tagline “Seize the Night,” highlighting low-light photography as a key feature. Leaks also pointed to finishes like satin-luxe green, marble white, and fabric-textured blue, along with a curved display and triple camera setup.

Additional reports suggest features such as wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6E, and NFC. The Edge 70 Pro is expected to join a broader lineup that includes the Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion, positioning it as a more feature-packed option in the series.

Motorola India has started teasing its next phone, the Edge 70 Pro, which will join the Edge 70 lineup after last month’s Edge 70 Fusion launch. A teaser on Flipkart shows the phone with a triple rear camera setup and the tagline “Seize the Night,” suggesting that low-light photography will be a key focus.

A recently leaked image shows the device in a green colour with what Motorola calls a satin-luxe finish. It is also expected to come in a blue variant with a tailored-fabric finish and a white option with a marble finish. The phone appears to have a curved display and a triple camera module on the back. Some reports also mention a wood grain finish for certain markets.

On the hardware side, the Edge 70 Pro is said to pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. Motorola has not confirmed full specifications yet, but more details are expected soon as the launch is likely to take place later this April.

Earlier leaks had already hinted at the device and pointed to the same “Seize the Night” tagline, reinforcing the focus on camera performance in low-light conditions. This is not new for Motorola, but it suggests the company may be pushing it further this time.

Design-wise, the phone is expected to follow Motorola’s recent approach. Leaks suggest a quad-curved display and back panel, along with a flat middle frame that has slightly contoured edges for better grip. There have also been mentions of finishes like wood grain and nylon-style textures, which could give it a different look compared to standard glass phones.

Certifications have revealed a few more details. The 6,500mAh battery is a step up from the 6,000mAh unit in the Edge 60 Pro, while charging speeds are expected to remain at 90W. Other features mentioned include wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6E, and NFC.

The Edge 70 Pro is expected to sit within a wider lineup that includes the Edge 70, Edge 70 Fusion, Edge 70 Fusion+, and the Motorola Signature. A Pro+ variant is also expected to follow.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro TDRA certified

As can be seen, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, which bears the model number XT2607-1, has been approved by the UAE’s TDRA certification platform. As usual, the TDRA listing does not reveal any specifications of the device.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ moniker spotted

Motoroal Edge 70 Pro+ HDR10+ certified

At the beginning of this month, tipster Evan Blass revealed that the Edge 70 Pro and Edge 70 Pro+ are in the works. These devices are codenamed Terrain and Terrain+, respectively.

In a new development, the Edge 70 series has appeared in the HDR10+ certification database. The listing reveals that the Edge 70 Pro+ has an SKU for the Indian market but does not seem to have variants for other regions.

At present, there is no clarity on what sets the Edge 70 Pro+ apart from the regular Edge 70 Pro. In terms of pricing, the Edge 70 Pro+ could be the most powerful Edge 70 series phone, positioning it just below the Motorola Signature.

The Motorola Signature’s base variant, packed with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at Rs 59,999 (~$645). Therefore, the Edge 70 Pro+ could be priced at around Rs 50,000 (~$540) to Rs 55,000 (~$590).

The Edge 70 Pro series will also have an Edge 70 Pro Lite variant, which is codenamed Terrain Lite. At present, there is no information

Motorola looks to be preparing a new addition to its Edge 70 lineup, with early leaks pointing to an upcoming Edge 70 Pro. Some promotional materials have surfaced online, giving a rough idea of what the company might be focusing on this time.

The images, shared by tipster @_intakhab_alam, highlight the tagline “Seize the Night,” which suggests Motorola is leaning into low-light photography as a key feature. That’s not entirely new for the brand, but it does hint that camera performance could be a bigger focus here.

In terms of design, the phone doesn’t seem to move too far away from what Motorola has been doing recently. It appears to feature a quad-curved display and back, paired with a flat middle frame that has contoured edges for a comfortable grip. Leaks mention materials like wood grain and nylon-style textures, which could help it stand out a bit from the usual glass-backed phones.

Certifications have revealed a few concrete details, though. The Edge 70 Pro is said to pack a 6,500mAh battery, a notable increase over the 6,000mAh unit of the Edge 60 Pro. Wired charging is expected to stay the same at 90W this year. There are also mentions of wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6E, and NFC.

Interestingly, a Pro+ variant is also expected this year, which would sit above the Pro and below the top-end Motorola Signature. The series already includes the standard Edge 70, Edge 70 Fusion, Edge 70 Fusion+, and the Motorola Signature.

Based on what’s known so far, the Pro version will likely aim somewhere between the mid-range and flagship tiers. There’s still no word on the processor, display, or full camera setup, so a lot of the picture is incomplete for now. But the direction seems fairly clear: a phone that focuses on battery life and camera versatility, rather than just pushing raw performance. More details should surface in the coming weeks as Motorola gets closer to an official announcement.
