Launch and Availability

The ROG Open Wireless (OWS) earbuds have been introduced in China and are currently available via JD.com. They are priced at 1399 yuan, with an introductory launch price of 1199 yuan. ASUS is expected to expand availability to more regions through its official retail channels in the coming months.

Connectivity and Gaming Performance

The earbuds support dual-mode connectivity, including Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless via a USB-C dongle. This allows seamless switching between devices and even simultaneous dual-device connections. ASUS has integrated its SpeedNova wireless technology, delivering ultra-low latency, up to six times lower than standard Bluetooth. This ensures faster audio transmission and better synchronization, helping users react quickly in competitive gaming scenarios with accurate positional sound.

Audio and Microphone System

Equipped with a 14.2mm diamond-like carbon-coated driver, the earbuds deliver clear highs, deep bass, and low distortion. Multiple sound modes, including bass enhancement and immersive modes, allow users to customize audio based on their preferences. The quad-microphone array with AI noise cancellation enhances voice clarity, improving both call quality and in-game communication.

Battery, Durability, and Additional Features

The earbuds offer up to 16 hours of usage on a single charge, with total battery life extending up to 48–64 hours with the charging case. Fast charging support provides around three hours of playback with just 15 minutes of charging. With an IPX5 rating, the earbuds are resistant to sweat and light splashes. Additional features such as USB-C pass-through charging and an extended connector design improve convenience, especially for users using devices with thicker protective cases.

The specifics about the device are not revealed yet, but it is teased with a video that asks “Are you ready to experience speed?” The round corner of the smartphone is highlighted in the video. It is quite hard to guess the device as there’s no leak about the upcoming Nokia 5G smartphone. Even, there’s not a single leak that could shed some light on what we are expecting on September 6. However, we believe it to be a new X series smartphone as the launch date is matching last year’s launch of the Nokia X30.

Nokia is diligently working to launch new feature phones and affordable smartphones. The company recently introduced some additional color variants of the Nokia C12 and 2660 Flip.

The last 5G smartphone launched by an HMD-owned company is the Nokia X30 5G. It houses a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 700 nits of maximum brightness. The HD+ display offers 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with an Adreno 619 GPU. It is available in three storage variants – 128GB + 6GB RAM, 128GB + 8GB RAM, and 256GB + 8 GB RAM.

In the camera section, there’s a dual-rear camera with a 50MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens. A 16MP sits on the front for selfies and video calling.

A new version of the popular gaming smartphone from Nubia, a well-known Chinese smartphone company, has just been released. The Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro Transparent Silver Edition has been officially released in China. The device has a transparent rear panel, as the name would imply, and it looks fantastic. As a smartphone geared toward gaming, the manufacturer also gave the product some game-specific appearance and style.

The device offers the same hardware features when compared with the standard variant. The newly announced Transparent Silver Edition comes in one and only 12GB variant. It has been priced at CNY 4999 (~$724). The device is already up for pre-booking in the country and the official sale of the device will be on March, 21st onwards. The users who will pre-book a unit will get an additional discount of CNY 100 (~$14).

According to the jargon of the company, the smartphone delivers something referred to as “Atomic Silver Industrial Transparent Design”. It features a 6.8-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with the capability for high refresh rates of up to 120Hz. The front display has a lovely appearance thanks to the brand’s use of an under-display camera. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship chipset powers it. RedMagic OS, which is based on Android 13, will launch right out of the box.
