This Austrian company is about to refresh its Nokia smart TV lineup. Five models have come up on Bluetooth SIG. Let’s have a look at them.

NokiaMob has spotted upcoming Nokia-branded smart TVs on Bluetooth SIG. There will be a total of 5 models and all of them will support Bluetooth 5.1.

These televisions carry the following model numbers.

• HN24GE320C
• HN32GE320C
• FN32GE320
• FN40GE320
• FN43GE320

The ‘HN’ models will come with HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels). Whereas, the ‘FN’ models will offer FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).

As far as sizes are concerned, the HD TVs will be available in 24 and 32 inches. On the other hand, the FHD TVs will come in 32, 40, and 43 inches.

These televisions are manufactured by Express Luck Technology Limited. This company has an annual production capacity of 8 million devices in China. It even makes Sharp-branded TVs.

Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on these forthcoming Nokia smart TVs. They will most likely boot Android TV or perhaps the new Google TV. There should also be support for all the leading streaming platforms.

Nokia recently penned a new brand licensing deal with StreamView to introduce new Nokia Smart TVs and Android Streaming Box into the European market. At the heels of the Nokia Streaming Box 8000 released in November 2020, the company has now introduced 7 new Smart LED TV models that include 32-inch Full HD, 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 58-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch 4K Ultra HD models for the European market.

The 32-inch smart LED TV has a 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD display with a 178-degree viewing angle. On the other hand, the 43″, 50″, 55″, 58″, 65″, and 75-inch models have a 4K resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, with a 178-degree viewing angle and Dolby Vision.

The models are powered by an ARM CA55 Quad-Core processor while the graphics is fired up by a Mali 470 MP3 GPU. The smart TV comes with 1.5GB RAM on all models except the 32-inch model which packs 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of internal storage across the board. Providing the interface is the Android TV 9.0operating system. The models come with support for Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and all have four HDMI ports (1 HDMI port supports ARC). two USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet port.

The smart TVs also come with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS sound support. The 32-inch model packs a 12W speaker, while the 43-inch, 50-inch, and 58-inch models are equipped with 20W stereo speakers. The high-end 65-inch and 75-inch models are equipped with 24W speakers. The smart TV models also come with a backlit remote control which is similar to that of the streaming box.

The new Nokia Smart TVs will sell for €399.90 (US$ 476) for the 32-inch Full HD model. The 43-inch model will retail for €549.90 (US$ 476), the 43-inch model for € 599.90 (US$ 714), the 50-inch model for € 699.90 (US$ 833). The 55-inch and 58-inch models are priced at €699.90 (US$833) and €799.90 (US$952) respectively. Finally, the 65-inch and 75-inch 4K models cost €899.90 (US$ 1071) and €1,399.90 (US$1,665) respectively. For now, the Nokia smart TVs are available in selected European countries.

Flipkart has teamed up with Nokia to launch six new smart TVs in India. Flipkart presently holds the right to launch non-smartphone products under the Nokia brand portfolio in India. 

The smart TVs include a 32-inch HD, 43-inch Full HD, and 43-inch 4K model. Others include a 50-inch 4K model, a 55-inch 4K model, and a premium 65-inch 4K Ultra HD model. The smart TVs all come with cool features such as Micro Dimming and a MaxBrite Display for crisp detail with vibrant colors. The sound system is provided by Onkyo. The 32-inch HD, 43-inch HD, and 43-inch 4K models come with a 39W soundbar (24W Quatro X Speakers and 15W tweeters)

The 4K models come with 48W soundbars that boast 30W QuatroX speakers paired with 18W tweeters. The sound system is designed to deliver a 360-degree audio projection.

The smart TVs all run Android TV 9.0 and comes with support for Google Assistant, Chromecast in-built, and lets you download more apps via Google’s Android Play Store. There is also a dedicated Zee5 Hotkey on the remote in addition to Netflix. The 32-inch HD and 43-inch Full HD models are powered by a Quad-core Cortex A53 processor with Mali 470 MP4 GPU backed by 1.5GB RAM and 8GB storage. While the 4K models come with a Quad-core Cortex A55 processor, Mali 470 MP4 GPU paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.

Pricing &  Availability

As for the pricing, the Nokia 32-inch HD TV is priced at Rs. 12,999 (~$177) while the 43-inch Full HD TV model comes in at Rs. 22,999 ($313). The Nokia 43-inch 4K TV is Rs. 28,999 (~$394), the 50-inch 4K model comes in at Rs. 33,999 (~$462), and the 55-inch 4K TV is priced at Rs. 39,999 (~$544). The Nokia 65-inch 4K TV is priced at Rs. 59,999 ($816). All models will be available from Flipkart starting October 15th.

Nokia launched the 55-inch Smart TV model in the Indian market in December last year. Last month, the company introduced a 43-inch model. Now, a 65-inch model has been launched in the Indian market.

The Nokia 65-inch Smart TV, as the name itself indicates, comes with a 65-inch LED display having support for 4K Ultra HD screen resolution. It also has narrow bezels, to ensure infinity-edge viewing experience.

The display also comes with several other features to enhance the experience, including intelligent display, wide color gamut, and Dolby Vision. It has a 178-degree viewing angle and supports 480 nits brightness along with 1100:1 contrast ratio.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1GHz PureX quad-core processor with a Cortex A53 CPU, along with Mali 450-MP4 GPU. It packs 2.25GB RAM and comes with 16GB of internal storage for storing apps and data.

Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, 3x HDMI ports, 1x USB 2.0 port, 1x USB 3.0 port, and an Ethernet port. Just like the other Nokia-branded Smart TVs, this one too runs Android 9 TV edition.

As for the audio output, the Nokia 65-inch Smart TV comes with 24W bottom-firing speakers with Sound by JBL. It also features support for Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround for an immersive audio experience.

The Nokia 65-inch 4K LED Smart TV is priced at ₹64,999 (~$870) in the Indian market and will be available for purchase from 6th August. Given that Flipkart has licensed the brand name for the Smart TVs, it will be sold exclusively through Flipkart in the Indian market.

As teased, Nokia has today launched a new model of its Smart TV in the Indian market. The company has today unveiled the Nokia 43-inch 4K LED Smart Android TV, which will be available exclusively via Flipkart.

The smart TV comes with a 43-inch display having support for 4K Ultra HD resolution. The bezels surrounding the screen are quite thin, which are aimed at offering an infinity edge-to-edge viewing experience to users.

It also comes with support for MEMC technology, along with features like intelligent dimming, wide color gamut, and Dolby Vision. For the audio, it has 24-watt speakers on the bottom which support DTS TruSurround, Dolby Audio, and the company says that they are optimized by JBL to offer deeper bass.

This is the second smart TV comes from Nokia in the Indian market. Just like the earlier model, this one too will be limited to the Indian market given that it’s not Nokia or HMD Global which is making these TVs but Flipkart which has got the license to use Nokia brand for its TVs in the Indian market.

Nokia entered the Smart TV market last year with the launch of a 55-inch Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart TV. Now, the company has confirmed that it will be launching a new model in India on 4th June.

Ahead of the official launch, key features of the upcoming Nokia Smart TV model have been revealed through the Flipkart listing. It showcases that the 43-inch TV will have narrow bezels and a soundbar at the bottom.

The company has confirmed that the upcoming model features Ultra HD (4K) LED display panel and comes equipped with JBL Soundbar. The device is running the Android TV 9 operating system with built-in Chromecast support.

While the pricing is not yet confirmed, we expect the 43-inch Nokia Smart TV to be priced around ₹30,000 to ₹34,000, which is somewhere between $397 to $450. We’ll get to know its pricing and availability details when it goes official on 4th June.

Furthermore, apart from the display size, we can also sport a similar design, with thin bezels on the sides and a V shaped stand as well. Nokia first launched a smart TV in India on December 5, 2019. The TV came with a 55-inch UHD screen with 4K resolution and JBL sound system. It is already on sale in India adopting a price tag. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Nokia was planning to introduce a 43-inch version of the smart TV. That speculation has gained traction as the company has now listed the Nokia TV 43-inch model on its official website. The page includes a data form for notification which is an indication that the launch is imminent.

The listing doesn’t reveal many details of the Nokia TV. However, the smart TV is listed to have a 43-inch size and feature JBL sound system. We expect the specifications to be similar to those of the 55-inch version. However, Nokia may decide to downgrade the display resolution from 4K to Full HD which would help bring down the price.

Nokia released the 55-inch version on Flipkart for Rs. 41,999 ($552)but this 43-inch version is rumoured to come in at INR 30,999 (~$418). We expect a cheaper price tag considering that the Mi TV 4X 43-inch model which was released for INR 24,999 (~$337). The smart TV is expected to be sold on Flipkart aside Nokia’s smart TV.

Back in early November, we reported that Flipkart and Nokia were working on Nokia-branded Smart TVs. Today in India, the first of the Smart TVs called the Nokia 55-inch Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart Android TV with Sound by JBL was launched.

This Smart TV is not a product made by HMD Global who has a license to manufacture Nokia-branded smartphones but is the result of another licensing-agreement between Flipkart and Nokia for the former to make Smart TVs with the Nokia brand name. So this is actually a Flipkart product. The retail giant handles the manufacturing, distribution, and sales of the TV.

Specifications

Nokia’s new Smart TV arrives with a 55-inch 4K UHD display. Being a smart TV, it runs the Android 9.0 Operating System for its UI. In terms of audio, the Smart TV is equipped with JBL’s (a known audio electronics based company) audio technology to deliver superior sound quality and packs 24 Watt speakers. The audio quality is one of the main selling points of the TV as it also features Dolby Audio enhancements for a better overall audio experience.
