The series will include the Nova 7 SE, the Nova 7, and the Nova 7 Pro. Ahead of the launch, live photos of the three phones have leaked on the web, they not only give us a look at the devices but also reveal their specifications.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h5><strong>Nova 7 SE 5G</strong></h5>
<p>The Nova 7 SE is shown to have a punch-hole display. The hole is at the top left corner and it&#8217;s not the smallest we have seen on a phone. Unfortunately, none of the images show the rear of the phone.</p>

<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/nova-7-se-b/'><img width="960" height="1280" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-b.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="Nova 7 SE" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-b.jpg 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-b-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-b-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-b-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-b-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></a>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/nova-7-se-a/'><img width="960" height="1280" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-a.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="Nova 7 SE" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-a.jpg 960w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-a-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-a-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-a-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Nova-7-SE-a-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></a>

<p>The image that shows the About Phone section of the device reveals the phone has a 6.5-inch LCD display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution. There is a Kirin 820 5G processor inside the device and it draws power from a 4000mAh battery. The image also confirms the phone has support for 40W wired fast charging.</p>
<p>The Nova 7 SE has a 16MP f/2.0 front-facing camera and one of the rear cameras is a 2MP f/2.4 sensor. The Nova 7 SE will run EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. Its dimensions are 162.31 x 75.0 x 8.58 millimeters and its weight is 189 grams.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h5><strong>Nova 7 5G</strong></h5>
<p>The Nova 7 has a punch-hole display too but the hole appears to be smaller in size. The display also appears to be wider than that of the Nova 7 SE. The image of the rear shows the phone has four cameras arranged vertically and housed in a rectangle along with an LED flash.</p>
<p>The Nova 7 5G will have a 6.53-inch OLED display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution. It will be powered by the new Kirin 985 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.</p>

<p>It was also revealed that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/29/huawei-nova-7-5g-nova-7-se-5g-and-nova-7-pro-5g-coming-soon/">there will be three models</a> in the Nova 7 lineup &#8212; Huawei Nova 7 5G, Nova 7 SE 5G, and Nova 7 Pro 5G. Now it is believed that the smartphone could come with support for 40W fast charging technology.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-308591 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/nova-7-40w-charger.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Nova 7 40W Charger" width="688" height="394" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/nova-7-40w-charger.jpg 688w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/nova-7-40w-charger-300x172.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px" /></p>
<p>A new Huawei smartphone with model number CDY-AN00 has passed through the 3C certification process which reveals that the device will come equipped with the same charger as the Huawei <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-p40-pro">P40 Pro</a>.</p>
<p>The charger model is HW 100 40 0C00 which has support for 40W fast charging. While the name of the smartphone with model number CDY-AN00 has not been disclosed yet, reports indicate that is a part of the upcoming Nova 7 series.</p>

<p>As per the reports, the Huawei Nova 7 lineup will come with an OLED display panel along with an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security. Under the hood, the top-end variant will be powered by the company&#8217;s own flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/06/huawei-announces-the-flagship-kirin-990-and-kirin-990-5g-feature-up-to-2-3gbps-download-speeds/">Kirin 990 5G chipset</a>.</p>
<p>Since Huawei does not have a mid-range mobile chipset with 5G connectivity support, it remains to be seen if the company announced a new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g">5G</a> chipset during or before the Nova 7 series launch to make the phone more affordable.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s still a lot of information regarding this upcoming lineup missing and we expect to know more about these devices ahead of their rumored launch in April, i.e. next month.</p>

While it can be called the first Nova 7 smartphone, it is actually just a rebranded Nova 6 SE. Yesterday, it was reported the “real“ Nova 7 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/28/huawei-nova-7-may-launch-in-early-april-right-after-p40-series-launch/">will be released in April</a>, shortly after the launch of the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-p40">Huawei P40</a> series whose <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/24/richard-yu-huawei-p40-series-will-launch-on-march-26-in-paris/">launch date has been announced already</a>. Today, a new leak has revealed that there will be three (for now) Nova 7 phones and all three will have 5G support.</p>
<p>The source of the info is Digital Chat Station and a post made on Weibo earlier today reveals the names of the three phones that make up the Nova 7 series. According to the post, there will be a Nova 7 5G, a Nova 7 SE 5G, and a Nova 7 Pro 5G.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-307773" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Huawei-Nova-7-5G-series.png?x10805" alt="Huawei Nova 7 5G series" width="582" height="416" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Huawei-Nova-7-5G-series.png 582w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Huawei-Nova-7-5G-series-300x214.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Huawei-Nova-7-5G-series-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 582px) 100vw, 582px" /></p>
<p>The post mentions there will be a Kirin 990 5G processor under the hood and OLED displays with an in-display fingerprint scanner.</p>
<p>We are not sure if the above configuration is for all three smartphones but we are pretty sure the Nova 7 5G and Nova 7 Pro 5G will come with the Kirin 990 5G chipset.</p>
<p>However, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-nova-6-se/">Nova 6 SE</a> is a mid-range 4G device with a Kirin 810 processor but this leak says its successor will have 5G. Huawei doesn&#8217;t have a mid-range 5G chipset yet, so we are curious to know if it will announce a new mid-range processor with a 5G modem or it will launch the Nova 7 SE 5G as an even more affordable 5G flagship with a Kirin 990 chipset.</p>
<p>There is still a whole month of waiting if the rumor about an April launch is true, but we expect more details will surface within that period.</p>
