Back in December 2019, Huawei launched the Nova 6. So naturally, after the launch of the base variant, the Pro variant or the Nova 6 Pro should arrive next. However, a new report suggests that the Chinese tech giant is skipping the higher end version and directly launching the next entry in the series, the Huawei Nova 7.

News regarding the Nova 7 series initially surfaced on Weibo

The information was shared by a known blogger on Weibo, the popular Chinese microblogging website. Going by the history of his previous releases, there is a chance that the information is accurate but we will have to wait for an official company announcement for any confirmation. According to the leak, the Huawei Nova 7 will be released in early April 2020.

This puts it right after the launch of the company’s flagship P40 series, as stated in the post. Huawei is planning on unveiling the P40 series in Paris, France on 26th March 2020, while its Chinese launch is expected to arrive in the first week of April (around 2nd April 2020 according to the blogger). Immediately after this, the Nova 7 is expected to be launched. This would mark a relatively close release interval between the Nova 6 and the upcoming entry; just a 4 month gap between the two.
