OnePlus TV Y1S’ new 40-inch size option could soon Launch in India

OnePlus TV Y1S was launched in India in February last year. The TV was made available in two sizes— 32-inch and 43-inch. Now, the brand is reportedly gearing up to bring a new 40-inch size option for its affordable television to the Indian market. It is expected to be priced in the same range as the other two variants and offer a Full HD+ resolution.

Pricebaba, citing tipster Ishan Agarwal, has claimed that OnePlus is readying a new 40-inch size variant of TV Y1S for India. The new TV is said to launch soon in the country but an exact launch date has not been provided. The Chinese company hasn’t made any official yet, so the details about the TV are pretty limited as of now.

OnePlus TV Y1S’ 32-inch and 43-inch models are available at Rs 14,499 and Rs 23,999 in India, respectively. The new size option will sit right in the middle with an expected price tag of around Rs 18,000. It is arguably an attractive price and will likely interest many Indian buyers who are looking to get a OnePlus television.

The existing size versions of the TV share the specifications with almost a similar resolution. We can expect the new 40-inch size option to feature similar hardware. It may support Full HD+ resolution and get a pair of speakers with 20W output and Dolby Atmos support. However, unlike the 32-inch and 43-inch variants, the TV may run the latest version of the Android TV OS— Android TV 12.

Connectivity options on the 40-inch Y1S may include OnePlus Connect 2.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 1 x RF, 1 x AV, 1 x HDMI 2.0, 1 x HDMI 2.0 with ARC, 1 x RJ45, and 1 x digital audio output. It should come with Google Chromecast built-in and support Google Assistant and Alexa.

OnePlus TV Y1S & Y1S Edge affordable TVs launched in India, starting at Rs. 16,499 (~$220)

OnePlus today held a launch event that saw the company unveil the premium mid-range Nord CE 2 5G smartphone. The Chinese tech giant has also launched two new smart TVs – OnePlus TV Y1S and Y1S Edge under the OnePlus TV Y series, with a few features separating the two models.

The OnePlus TV Y1S and Y1S Edge feature a bezel-less display design with the Edge having a metallic coating on the bottom bezel delivering a unique shimmer touch. The two models are both available in two sizes – 43 inches and 32 inches models but the resolutions are different. The 32-inch model comes with an HD resolution while the 43-inch variant has a Full HD display. Both TVs have support for HDR10+, HDR10, as well as HLG format support for a superior viewing experience.

The smart TVs are equipped with advanced Gamma Engine features which deliver real-time image quality optimization. The smart TVs are TÜV Rheinland certified meaning they are safe for the eyes.

For optimization, the smart TV runs Android TV 11.0 bringing several new features including serving as a smart hub of the owner’s home entertainment. The operating system also features a special Auto Low Latency Mode which promotes an exciting gaming experience on their new OnePlus TVs. Smart voice control is also supported on the TVs thanks to Google Assistant. Further, the new OnePlus TV Y1S and Y1S Edge equally come with the Smart Manager feature which allows users to boost the TV’s system speed, free up storage space, and perform other actions. There is also a Remote Diagnosis feature that allows owners to identify and resolve issues remotely. If the user isn’t able to resolve the issue, the Remote Diagnosis feature allows the OnePlus service team to remotely access the smart TV.

As for the pricing, the OnePlus TV Y1S 32-inch model starts at Rs. 16,499 (~$220) while the 43-inch model is priced at Rs 26,999 (~$360). The OnePlus TV Y1S Edge starts at Rs 16,999 (~$226) while the 43-inch model will retail for Rs. 27,999 (~$373).

The OnePlus TV Y1S 32-inch will be available online from February 21 via OnePlus.in, Amazon.in and Flipkart.in. The OnePlus TV Y1S 43-inch will also be available across these online channels soon. On the other hand, the OnePlus TV Y1S Edge 43-inch and 32-inch variants will be sold via offline channels including OnePlus Experience Stores, Reliance Digital, MyJio, Croma, Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika, Pai International, Happi Mobiles, SS Mobiles, Poojara Telecom, BigC Mobiles, LOT Mobiles, and others from February 21, 2022

OnePlus TV Y1S series appears in new renders before launch

OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus TV Y1S series in India on February 17. Ahead of that, we have been hearing a lot about these televisions. The latest leak regarding these TVs reveals their design via press renders.

Popular leaker Ishan Agarwal has partnered with MySmartPrice to share new renders of the OnePlus TV Y1S series along with its remote control. He previously shared a single render of the television in January.

According to the image, the new smart televisions from OnePlus will have minimal bezels but with a noticeable chin. The TVs will ship with a redesigned remote control, which mimics a candy bar. The remote looks somewhat similar to Xiaomi’s, however, it features more buttons.

Just like the previous reports stated, the OnePlus TV Y1S series will indeed arrive in two different sizes (32-inch and 43-inch). We can see the renders of both these variants in the picture.

OnePlus has confirmed to release two versions of the OnePlus TV Y1S lineup. The vanilla OnePlus TV Y1S will be sold online, whereas the OnePlus TV Y1S Edge will be made available across offline stores.

As far as features are concerned, the 32-inch variant will have an HD-ready screen, while the 43-inch version will sport an FHD display. Both the models will flaunt an LED-backlit LCD panel.

They will run Android TV 11 operating system and offer HDR10+ support. Lastly, they are said to come with dual-band WiFi and Dolby Audio-compatible 20W speakers.

OnePlus TV Y1S, OnePlus TV Y1S Edge to launch in India soon in different screen sizes

OnePlus on Friday, officially announced the launch of the new OnePlus TV Y1S and OnePlus TV Y1S Edge in India. These TVs will be an addition to the already available Y-series of TVs in India.

Currently, OnePlus has the OnePlus TV Y1 in its Y-series. Now, with the addition of the Y1S and Y1S Edge, the company will expand its affordable TV range in the country. The company said that the Y-series is targeted to bring accessible connected ecosystem experiences across different screen sizes. The Y-series TVs including the upcoming Y1S and Y1S Edge will come at affordable prices.

Furthermore, the Y1S will be launched exclusively in the online market, whereas, the TV Y1S Edge will be available in the offline market.

“We believe the new range of the OnePlus TVs will re-define smart TV experience by providing unparalleled quality, along with a premium design and an elevated viewing experience, while bringing these offerings at truly affordable price points”, said Navnit Nakra, Oneplus India CEO and Head of India region.

Apart from this, a recent leak revealed that the new OnePlus TV Y1S series will launch as early as this month on February 17. It will come with minimal bezels on all three sides, while the bottom bezels will be slightly thicker as it will have the Oneplus logo.

The Y1S series will likely come with a similar design as the existing OnePlus TV Y1. The upcoming TVs were tipped to come with 20W speakers backed by Dolby Audio. The series will have HDR10+ support and is expected to come with dual-band WiFi. It will run on Android TV 11 OS.

Earlier this week, news broke out that OnePlus will be soon launching a new smart television lineup in India. It will be called the OnePlus TV Y1S series. Today, we get to see this TV in a render.

The render of the upcoming OnePlus TV Y1S series comes from the OnePlus Connect application. It was spotted by Ishan Agarwal (via MySmartPrice).

According to the image, the television will have minimal bezels on three sides. In other words, it will look similar to the existing OnePlus TV Y1 series.

There will be a large chin with the OnePlus logo at the center. Below that, there will be an LED indicator, which will likely include an infrared sensor as well.

Apart from the aforementioned details, the picture doesn’t tell anything about the television. However, thanks to the previous report, we know quite a bit about it.

For starters, the OnePlus TV Y1 series will be offerred in two sizes – 32-inch and 43-inch. Although it’s not revealed, the former will likely have HD-ready resolution compared to FHD on the latter.

Both of them will boot Android TV 11 operating system. They will offer dual-band WiFi connectivity, which will be an upgrade over the single-band implementation found in their predecessors. Finally, they will have support for HDR10+ and Dolby Audio along with Dolby Atmos decoding.

As of now, there’s no info on the launch date of the OnePlus TV Y1S series.
